Hotel Hesperia Del Port - Barcelona

Well connected to the city, good place o stay.

It was our first time in Barcelona and we love it. We stay 4 nights.

Very close to ramblas, nice hotel just a 2 minute walk off the popular ramblas, i would stay here again for sure

Assolutamente consigliato, vicino al mare (ed al centro), presonale multilingue disponibilissimo, camera pulitissima ed isolata dai rumori esterni. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, se dovessimo tornare a Barça, saremmo nuovamente loro ospiti.

A due passi dalla Rambla. Personale gentile e disponibile. Camera pulita e spaziosa. Consigliato!

They gave as a tiny room, damp walls in the bathroom and the bed had one leg broken and the other three so loose. Tried to change room and offered only a smokers one with a awful stale smell, so stayed in the broken bed one. Recepcionist promissed to send the maintenance guy next morning to check it and repair it but never happend. Very noisy, thin walls, and cleaning staff in other bethrooms before 9 making such an unberable noise. Not good if you are looking for a full sleep night. Great location and price not too bad. Dont bother with breakfast, expensive and poor quality, little pastisseries or churrerias around la Rambla,Barr Gotic, etc much better.

Ottima posizione vicino alla metro e cinque minuti a piedi dalle ramblas, pulito camere spaziose, se avete difficoltà a dormire chiedete camere sul retro av.paralel è piuttosto trafficata, noi avevamo una camera che dava sulla strada ma abbiamo dormito benissimo.La colazione nel periodo che ci siamo stati noi era inclusa nel prezzo,positivo.

Comodissimo, a meno di 10 minuti a piedi dalla statua di Colombo e a 1 minuto dalla fermata della metropolitana El paralel, che oltretutto è quella da cui parte la funicolare per la teleferica per Montujuic . la zona non è il massimo, ma non ho avuto alcun problema. Camera comoda, spaziosa e molto pulita. il mio consiglio è di richiedere una stanza interna per non essere disturbati dai rumori della strada, a me è capitata per caso e ne sono stata contenta. Il personale alla reception molto disponibile. Accettano la carta Postepay, anche se alla fine non l'ho potuta utilizzare perchè mi si è smagnetizzata, ho risolto pagando con il bancomat. Lo consiglio a tutti

I stayed in Barcelona with my girlfriend and a friend of mine to spend New Year's Eve and some days, with the main aim of visiting the city and enjoying its nightlife. The surroundings of the hotel are not the best area in the city (in El Raval there still are some call girl and several tramps going around, and the narrowest streets are dark and a bit dirty), but you definitely are near to the Ramblas (3-400 m) and very near to the metro station Parallel (150 m). The rooms were quite clean (apart from the sofa pillows and the drawers). Some minor flaws were the lack of hat-stands in the room, the small size of the wardrobe and the fine but uncomfortable washbasin. Personnel is polite enough, but only relatively friendly. My overall assessment is anyway positive.

Good location and the service is good

We stayed with our young son and parents, (2 rooms) our request for a travel cot was understood and was waiting for us on our arrival all set up and made up for him to sleep in. We were on the top floor and our son loved going up and down in the lift! We all thought the location was excellent and even though on a main road, the noise was minimal. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to any of our friends, even those with small children.

Great Location for walking to the Las Rambles...Great Chinese Restaurant a few doors down. Breakfast was not included and seemed a little high so we did not eat there. Staff arranged early morning taxi for airport on last day and they were very prompt. We would go back there again.

Clean, basic high standard chain hotel. Location perfect for most places, and very close to metro stop. Only complaint was that air con was turned from cooling to heating during our stay meaning that in order to cool the room we had to turn the air con off and open a window. The road outside was very noisy all night. However, in general the room was clean, the decor good and the help from the front desk excellent. I would stay here again.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was small and there was not enough free space to manuouver but besides that at the rest of the aspects it was ok. we looked for a place to rest, eat good breakfast and located close to metro station and to the main streets and it fulfill our expectations. The staff was great and very helpful.

Close to La Rambla (main street), only a 5 min walk away from the south part. If you take a shortcut it might be a slight sketchy (ie bums, prostitutes, etc) but we did not have any problems. I never felt unsafe really. Reception was very helpful.

This hotel was adequate for the price. The staff was helpful and the room was functional. I was with my 11 year old son and we did not feel very comfortable with the surrounding areas when leaving the hotel. While it is very close to the metro, La Ramblas, and the waterfront..the two blocks we had to walk had lots of sex shops and a red light district we happen to walk into with realizing it till it was too late.

I would recommend staying at this very nice hotel, and I would consider returning to this hotel should I travel to Barcelona again! The only problem was that we could not access the wifi internet even though they claim you can.

L'hotel è ben posizionato, a due passi dalla Rambla e dalla metro. Peccato per la pulizia delle camere, lascia un po' a desiderare e anche la grandezza! però l'arredamento è nuovo. Nel complesso comunque abbastanza buono!

We arrived very late on a major football weekend in Barcelona (Barcelona vs Manchester United I think) and the hotel was totally full but as I has emailed them to say we might be late our room was there and waiting even though I am sure they could have filled it many times over. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is a little off the main but seemed safe and we had no problems. There is a restaurant a couple of doors down where we were able to get a late meal. 5-10 minute walk to where the Hop-on-hop-off tour buses start and they proved to be an excellent way to familiarize ourselves with the city. I would stay there again. The breakfast was not included but was reasonable and good value - buffet style

Easy to get to the tube

Hotel was very modern and clean and staff were very nice and accomodating. Only complaint was that the walls were thin (don't think I could have slept without ear plugs) and the car park was not finished (had to park in public parking nearby). Short walk to La Rambla and close to subway entrance. Would definetly stay here again.

We stayed in Barcelona for two nights, Hotel Hesperia del Port was more than satisfying. Rooms and bathrooms were very clean, breakfast was excellent and the hotel staff very polite and ready to help us in any way. Next time we visit Barcelona, Hesperia del Port will be our first choice. Highly recommended.

Great hotel in a great location - less then a 10 min walk to the port where there were tour buses that visited most of the main attractions throughout the city. Surrounding buildings looked a little run down but we didn't have any problems - overall a very safe city from our experience.

We booked a double room, but got a twin room when we checked in. The hotel was fully boked, so we were unable to change rooms. Other than that, it was a nice hotel, and the staff were very friendly.

We were 4 ladies travelling on holiday. Price and location were the deciding factors, we were extreemly happy with this hotel

The hotel itself was fine and the service provided in reception was first class. The breakfast was charged seperately but proved to be good value for money. My only reservation comes from the fact that whilst staying at the hotel, we left a wrist watch on the bed in the morning. On returning in the afternoon it had gone missing. Only the cleaner had access to the room. The hotel claimed that it may have got mixed up with the laundry - I find it difficult to believe that the watch would still be missing after this much time. Despite the otherwise good service, this incident on our last day did somewhat leave a bitter taste!

My first time staying at Hotel Hesperia Del Port with my family. The room was dark and the only window we had faced a residental window where they hang there underwear. It was noisy...you could almost hear everything your next door neighbor did and we heard sirens every night.

L'albergo si trova poco distante dalla fine delle Ramblas, quindi in centro. Ci siamo trovati molto bene anche se si sentono un po i rumori della strada... A piedi raggiungi il cuore della citta in pochi minuti, lo consigliamo.

The hotel warmly welcomed us and even looked up the results of a Barcelona-Seville football match for us when we arrived! The room was clean and comfortable, but there was no remote for the TV set. We had plenty of clean towels each day. There is an excellent bakery just 2 or 3 doors from the hotel with warm bagettes and apple pastries! We accidentaly left items of clothing in the closet, and they saved them and had them available when we called to find them. They COD the clothing to an address we provided.

L'albergo è come quello che appare sulle foto del sito. Nuovo, pulito e il personale disponibile e gentile. Vicino alla Rambla ma senza il rumore eccessivo della via principale della città. Se dovessi tornare a Barcellona sicuramente tornerei qui.

Hotel Hesperia is cool, we were there for 2 nights end of may in 2007. Good location, close to the metro and walking distance to everything else. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful with tips and info, good security too. Room has got wi-fi. The rooms are very spacious in comparison to the other countries we've travelled to and the price range is good too. The shower is especially wide which is very nice from a long day of walking. And when we requested for non-smoking rooms, at least they have 2 levels of non-smoking rooms (not like other similiar price-ranged hotels whose non-smoking room means they've just aired the room and when other rooms have got guest smoking, you can smell it as it travels through the corridor and into your room). Our room was on the first floor and it was a little noisy with doors slamming occasionally at night. Breakfast is charged seperately but they've got a good range. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. --australian couple--

Four wives/mums escaping for a few days, had a fantastic stay at the Hesperia. Couldnt fault it,Superb standard accomodation and ideal for a short break.Breakfasts were good too and the Chinese round the corner was great.Couldnt have been nearer Las Ramblas without paying las Ramblas prices!!!!

L'hotel offre un ottimo servizio ad un prezzo conveniente. La colazione purtroppo non è compresa nel prezzo. Camera non troppo spaziosa ma pulita, silenziosa e dotata di tutti i comfort. Personale gentile e disponibile. In pochi min a piedi si raggiunge la rambla, e a due passi c'è la metro. Raccomandato!

Nice hotel for the price. But after staying at Hotel Banys Orientals for 3 days this was a little disappointment.. But we knew that before we came. But as a wrote... Very nice hotel for this price!!

The hotel is correct, I dislike the position as in the evening is not nice to walk to hotel. The Map doesn't give an exact idea about real position. During the day is ok, Metro is just few meters away. The people at reception are very kind and helpful. I reccomand this hotel.

Excellent hotell and location. Close to metro. And the Chineses restaurant around the corner is worth a try. Pictures on the internet absolutely matches the room we got. Walking distance to the Rambla and citycentre. Staff was warm and welcoming.

This is a business-type hotel. Not suitable for families. I had a little baby crying next door all night. Since I have children of my own I was sensitive to the parents, but it is not too convenient to mix business and pleasure, i.e., executives who must get up early and work and families with small babies crying all night. Otherwise everything Ok.

Until the last day, we had an excellent experience in this hotel. It is in a lively and convenient location very close to Port Barcelona just behind the Maritime Museum and a few blocks from Las Ramblas. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathroom floor could have been cleaner but, other than that, the room was clean. The one (and major) problem was that whowever was supposed to clean our room on the last day began the job but did not complete it and left the door unlocked. Nothing was taken but returning to an unlocked room is very disconcerting, to say the least. I believe that this was a fluke, however, and should we return to Barcelona, we would stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel and resonably priced for the location. It's very near to the Metro and La Rambla and the chinese restaurant around the corner is very good!

From the moment of arrival, we found the hotel clean and welcoming and the reception staff were at all times courteous, helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient, with just five to ten minutes walk to the Rambla and to the waterfront. An interesting architectural feature opposite, with factory chimneys preserved in front of a new block, all imaginatively illuminated at night. The bedroom was simple but adequate, with a comfortable bed and a good view across to Montjuic. Bathroom and storage facilities were good.

I thought that the hotel was offered a good standard of accomodation for a reasonable price.
