Hotel HCC Taber - Barcelona

Great location. Good room, comfortable, clean. No frills. Would definately stay again.

The room was okay. The service was okay. The cleaning was okay. The breakfast was NOT okay! I paid 17 Euros for some cheap bread, salty scrumbled eggs, and a HORRIBLE COFFEE. For 17 Euros you just can´t serve black coffee ONLY from a cheap coffee-can, which tasted just garbage. I would like to have my 17 Euros back... or maybe get a voucher? But all in all it was a okay stay! Christian Lien, Norway.

The rooms are the size of a wardrobe. The walls are so thin you can hear everything happening three rooms away. The worst hotel I've ever seen...

I really liked my stay at the hotel, the location is great , walking distance to Paseo de Gracia ( 2 blocks ) , Plaza Cataluya, la Rambla, hotel cleanlinessi, friendly staff.

Prenotate tre singole con molto anticipo e ci siamo ritrovati tre camere 2,5m X 1,5m uno scandalo, sporche calde e rumorose. altra cosa strana fanno pagare al check in anzichè al check out. NON PAGATE FATEVI MOSTRARE PRIMA LE CAMERE

Price is high. I think 130 euros is good

Good value for the money. The single room was quite small with a view to a dark inner courtyard, but it was clean and had all the amenities as promised. The furnishings standard and inexpensive. In a few years the wear and tear will show. Cleaning service every day. The room had a safe which was not included in the price. Abut 4.50 Euro/day. Staff was friendly and location excellent. Abut a 10 minute walk from Placa Catalunya, and Casa Battlo and Casa Mila were right around the corner. One night there was noise from returning partygoers. I definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel is clean and nice, and the rooms are enough spacious; the road is a little bit cahotic so the room is noisy, but the windows are well sound proofed.

We stayed twice--before & after a cruise. It was convenient to the Gothic Qtr & the staff was great in helping us store/retrieve our luggage, get ut cabs, direct us to S'bux, & a tapas bar, etc. I'd stay there again for sure.

Real nice location and the desk people were fine.

(1) Travellers, beware that typical Spanish city hotels have rooms with windows that look out on a dark closed inner court of 5 x 5 meters, without proper ventilation. The A/C recirculates the air in the room, but does not bring clean air in from the outside. The windows are tinted and are supposed to be left closed to provide some privacy from your opposite side neighbour. Since the rooms are mostly tiny, this gives a claustrophobic feeling. If you have problems with this ask specifically for a street facing room in which you can fully enjoy the street noise. (2) The staff was very friendly and sweet but their control of the English language was rather poor for International Hotel business. Since my Spanish is unacceptable as well, we had some good laughs in communicating. (3) The breakfast was very nice and well worth the 15 Euro. For the price/location the Hotel is a very good choice for your stay in Barcelona.

The Hotel was in an excellent location. The only drawback was that housecleaning did not replace soaps, so I had to get from the front desk. They did a good job of maintaining a clean room though.

Exellent hotel

I can highly recommend the HCC Taber Hotel. It is modern, clean, with friendly staff, and located within walking distance of the city center.

Staff could have been friendlier, but generally it was a good hotel in a good area.

The hotel was of a standard that I expect for 3 star, not luxurious, but clean and basic and suitable for a city break. The only small complaint I have is that they could not provide a kettle in the room. Overall I would recommend the Taber and I would stay there if I visit Barcelona again.

Great place; great location; reasonable price; friendly, competant staff.

Parking was too much expensive; in the web page breakfast was given as included in the price but then in the final confirmation it wasn't (should be considering the price)

My reservations with Taber were cancelled when I got there. I do not know how. They accomodated me at St. Moritz. Fortunately there was room available. It is my understanding that it is not easy in Barcelona to find impromptu accomodations most of the time. The review above applies to St. Moritz
