Hotel HCC Open - Barcelona

I've been in Barcelona for a pleisure travel during Sonar festival. It was a birthday gift I made to my girlfriend. the hotel could be quite good but there are some things that I didn't like at all, it seemed as they wanted to joke us. when arrived in the hotel the receptionist told us we booked a room with two single beds (for me and my girlfriend???) and when I showed him the reservation he told me that in Spain a "double room" is with two single beds, while a twin room is with a big one...furthermore the total price was higher than the one declarated at the booking time and they didn't give us the breackfast while also this was in the initial reservation... it has been a bad experience due to the dishonesty of the hotel staff... Fortunately Barcelona is fantastic and we enjoyed really mutch our holidays...but to have a perfect experience you should be sure you don't book an HCC hotel to stay there

Hotel ideally located close to the underground station "Rocafort". Staff very friendly, however I strongly recommend not leaving any values in your room inside your bags (even locked)and use the safe provided by the hotel at a cost of 4.5 euro per day.

20 minute walk to Plaza de Catalunya & shopping Staff very friendly and cheerful. Staff knowledgeable about Barcelona attractions. We followed most of their suggestions and have no regrets. Downside is lack of good eating places near hotel. Many smoke-filled pub/restaurants with "bar" food but you don't want that every day.

We had a great time at the HCC Open (a group of 11). We spent 4 days in Barcelona and we all agreed that the position, service, price, surroundings were just perfect. Close to the metro, at walking distance from the Rambla, very quiet. I would raccomand it and I will definetrly go back alone or with a group.

Excellent hotel with clean and nice rooms. The service was good as well. It is very close to a metro stop. Nearby there is also a very good Italian restaurant, ask the reception.

Very good service, clean and comfortable rooms. Very helpful reception. Convenient location. Good value for money. Problems are the noise from the roads as this hotel is at a junction. The other problem is the rooms get too hot from the central heating system.

Great central location. Outside was noisy..busy intersection if you wanted to sleep in.

Although a very nice hotel in a nice and convenient location, breakfast was not included in the venere quoted price and the surcharge per person was monstrously expensive for a modest buffet breakfast. This made the already not very appealing room charge an even greater disappointment. The staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious and clean. Overall a very good hotel and very quiet with a good view towards a not so buay intersection of the city.

We were very impressed with the standard of the room, especially the bathroom. The dark curtains ensured a good night's sleep! The location of this hotel, just a few minutes from the metro, makes it ideal for getting to the centre of Barcelona.

Excellent offer,price was great hotel was awesome and its really near from the main attractions and from La Rambla shopping area.

I got it for 5 nights in June for 108EUR. For this price look no where else!!! 3 min from a metro station and all the new roms makes it an excellent deal. We didnt have breakfast but there were plentry of bars and Cafetirias around!

We had some nice days there, very ggod hotel. the internet DSL-connection with cable from the room is very comfortable. the price was very good, but during special events in barcelona like the formel 1 race it will be up to three times higher!!
