A great hotel to base yourself for all the main sights and activities in Barcelona. Ask for a room on the front of the hotel - you'll get a little balcony. It's overlooking a busy road but the double glazing blocks out most of the sound and we weren't distrubed by it at all. The breakfasts were great - they catered for everyone, even down to Soya Milk for those of us who don't do dairy and herbal teas for the caffeine-free amongst us.

This hotel was superb. I am lucky enough to do a lot of City breaks and the standard of hotels varies incredibly. The room was spotless. The staff were efficient and helpful. The Ramblas was a 5 minute walk giving superb access to the City. I think we were lucky with our room size as we had a twin room but I believe some of the other rooms could be small. The noise level was acceptable in terms of traffic outside as I don't expect to go to a City hotel, be in the hub of the City and yet have the quiet of the countryside. The bathroom was different and perhaps not for the faint hearted or modest as it was a glass cubicle! As my daughter and I were travelling together this was fine, however if this was a romantic break mmmm...! There is very little around in terms of restaurants and bars but, being such a short walk to the Ramblas this was not an issue. All in all this was a really good value deal and about an 8 Euro taxi trip from the coach station if you have done the dreaded Ryan air/Girona trip.

The hotel has a good location. Near to the airport buses, subway and touristic buses; walking distance to La Rambla and Pg. de Gracia. The breakfast is nice but very expensive.(18 Euro per person) While booking the room, take the breakfast included price. Also dinner is not delicious and 21 Euro per person. You'd better try other restaurants near the hotel. The hotel is not too bad but not the best for me. Decision is yours!

Great location, right in the middle of the city and within walking to many great sites. Very clean and friendly staff, good internet access and free! Hotel sits above a subway line and rumbles mildly although very few trains run in the middle of the night. The beds are extra firm (Hard) and you'll need to request wash cloths. We re-booked this hotel on the back end of our vacation after staying on the front end of the vacation.

1.-We asked for a "quiet" room and were given one overlooking the main street and just next to the lift: every noise in the corridor was heard thru the door. 2.- at €17, the breakfast is definitely too expensive even if it is of top quality. 3.- excellent: two internet-linked pc were available for free.

This was our first stay in Barcelona. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The location was great (close to Placa Catalunya, Las Ramblas, and excellent restaurants just to the north of the hotel). The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is located on a busy street, and it is situated above a metro line, but the noise was pretty minimal. I did occasionally hear the metro rumble beneath us in the morning, but unless your plans are to sleep all day in your hotel room, this shouldn't be a factor. What you see from the pictures on their website, is what you get (maybe even nicer in person)!

The quietness of the room was due to its being located at the back of the building. We asked for it following a recommendation from a former guest couple. The staff was very polite. We want to highlight the extreme quality of the dinner due both to the gentle reception of the girls and excellency of the "chef". It was for us a wonderfull surprise the "lubina" dish and the "rape pumpkin sauce"

Ideal location within easy walking distance of the sites but in a location off the main road. Good welcome, friendly and helpful staff provided good information and directions.Breakfast was varied and plentiful albeit a bit expensive. However this didnt detract from our stay. All in all very good hotel in a good location with friendly staff

The first night we were put in a room so small that we had to put our suitcases into the bathroom. I could not believe that a hotel would offer a double room with practically no storage facilities for guests travelling with luggage. However, the next day, on spotting a better room being cleaned for new guests, we were transferred to this much more spacious room with excellent facilities. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent and the staff was most helpful.

When we arrived we were a little disappointed with the first room we were given - funny bathroom with the sink in the bedroom - but we asked if it was possible to change and we were offered another room which was lovely. At the front of the hotel on the 4th floor. We decided to have breakfast at the hotel on our first morning but when we went down to the restaurant at 9.45 (breakfast doesn't finish until 10.30) there was very little left in the hot buffet - no bacon/sausages or scrambled eggs. Rather than risk a repeat of the above after that we had breakfast in a little cafe 2 minutes away which was great value. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend it to others.

The Hotel is in an excellent location. We took airport bus to Hotel (25mins or less) and its easy enough to find from the bus stop. Glass of Champagne on arrival is a great idea, I loved it, makes you feel at home. The hotel is very modern, the only negative comment is our double room was very small, apart from that the room is great, it has everything tea&coffee facilities and even a flat screen tv. The bathroom is fabulous, quite spacious, clean, modern, huge shower, excellent really. The only thing we wondered about was every night there was what sounded like a boiler or central heating system over our room, we heard water bubbling all night long, every night, we were on the 7th floor so maybe we were close to the boiler or something! We didn't have the breakfast at all so can't comment on that, only it is very pricey at €14, there are lots of places close by to get food anyhow. Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money and very central which is great, spotless clean and very modern. If going to Barcelona again, I would stay there or another H10 hotel.

This really was a great hotel, great location just off the main square and easy to get to. The rooms were not huge, but we requested a quiet room and got just that! Couldn't fault it for the money. And the airconditioning was so quiet we were convinced it wasn't on, but it was! Glass of Cava on arrival, perfecto!

There were six friends on this trip and we all felt the hotel was of a good standard. A glass of cava welomed us, even at 10.30pm, and the staff were helpful. The rooms were well appointed and only lacked tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast is a little expensive but the quality and choice is high. The hotel is well placed for public transport and only a minutes walk from Catalunya Square. We all agreed we would stay in this hotel again when in Barcelona.

We got a great room in a great hotel at a great price. Large, modern room, very luxurious. Great location, too. Free internet in the lobby. We picked this one because it is close to the train station (Placa de Catalunya) so it was easy to catch our train the next morning. Once we saw it, we wish we'd stayed there the whole time.

Excellent location for a two-night stay in Barcelona. El Corte Ingles and Plaza Catalunya were only a couple of blocks away. Loved the free WiFi! The room was small, but comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was so strong I ended up with a black eye from the showerhead hitting my face when I suddenly opened the water and the showerhead slipped from my soapy fingers. We were in Room 101. The street noise and the rumblings of the Metro were heard, but did not bother us.

Very clean but got stuck in the small rooms. Floors have 4 larger rooms in front, numbers are 401 402 411 412 for the 4th floor. Back rooms have two beds and the middle rooms are much smaller. Free internet access on the Two public PC's was nice with a USB printer to share between them. Location is excellent and the rooms were very clean and quiet. After a day or so the size really didn't bother us. The bathroom was roomy enough for two to get ready. We are used to larger American style rooms AND we stayed the first few days at the ARTs hotel. Much bigger rooms with a MUCH bigger price (company paid). I'd book this hotel again though and recommend it to anyone. The ONLY complaint I had was the Taxi driver they called for us did not accept Credit cards as the ones I had used earlier did. I asked to stop at an ATM but he wanted to wait and have me go into one at the Airport. The line was long and it took an extra 15min with the meter running. A 38 euro cap fare.

I would say overall a positive experience. A very modern, very compact room, i.e. the bedroom area is the same size as the bathroom area. We had to store our suitcases under the sink in the bathroom, because there was no room in the bedroom them. But, modern, clean and the staff were very helpful. The location is great too.

H10 Universitat has very clean and nice rooms with modern design. Everything feels really fresh and the staff is friendly. However, we got a room on the first floor with window facing the outside busy street. The room was very noisy and we had to use earplugs to be able to sleep there. There was also annoying vibrations from the metro line passing just under the hotel.

Great location near las Ramblas and the large department store, Corte Ingles. We had a room at the back of the hotel with no balcony that was very quiet, when we were moved to the front of the building (decent view, however the door over the balcony does not open without special tool), the noise from the second elevator was noticable (like a very brief train passing by, more vibration than noise). Two computers for internet access with a printer. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

Good hotel, very well located in the centre of Barcelona at walking distance from a lot of metro and bus stops to reach the surroundings and airports. The cleanliness of the room was simply fantastic. The breakfast was not included and is a bit expensive. We only had a problem of noisy neighbours (because of a communicating door between the rooms which was not very well acoustically isolated). Anyway, the overall impression is positive and we certainly recommend this hotel.

FELICITACIONES.

A very well located hotel with great maps and tourist information provided with a glass of Cava as a welcoming drink. Very good service, when our shower broke it was fixed within 3 hours of us reporting it. We booked room only, Breakfast would have cost approximately 15 euros each, we didn't use it on any morning as there are lots of cafes within walking distance of the hotel.

Nice hotel. Very central but on a busy street and the immediate area isn't very atmospheric. Public parking in a garage at a discounted price across the street. Very warm welcome with cava, beautiful, smallish room decorated in a mock Japanese style. Very clean, nicely decorated, friendly staff. 2 public computers in lobby. Didn't bother with breakfast which was 14 euros - it cost us 2.50 euros in a small cafe across the street. Overall very nice, we were sad we couldn't stay there again on our return to Barcelona a week later.

Convenient for Catalunya Square, CCCB, MACBA, Ramblas, the sea front, tourist bus, airport bus etc. Room's size adequate. Window locked, climatisation adequate.
