Nice hostel, really close to Sagrada Familia and metro station (to get anywhere else). The stuff is friendly and helping. The rooms (esp the ones with shared bathroom) are more like closets less like rooms but if u're in Barcelona just for few days, it shouldn't be a problem.

I stayed at the single room. It has no window, well, actually it has a window but it faces the staircase and the noise coming from there is very loud. Also you hear everything that happens in the whole hostel - this is a great disadvantage. But the location is very convenient - in 5 minutes from Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. Metro station is just around the corner. Staff is nice. The receptionists speak good English. I had shared bathroom, but I guess only 3 room are using it, so there was no problem to get inside and it was always very clean. They give you your own key to the front door, so you can enter withour problems any time (there is nobody from the staff after 10pm at the hostel). The common area has about 5 computers for free use with Internet. It also had Wi-Fi in each room but I didn't succeed to use it.

I liked the place well enough, but I had specifically picked this hotel for its excellent location in the Eixample district, only to have them tell me that my room was in their other location. I can't complain too much, because that location was also very good, right near the water and in the heart of the Barri Gotic, and they transported us there for free, but I didn't really like the surprise of it and not knowing until I arrived. So be advised that they have 2 separate locations, even though both are central. The other location also had no lobby and no one on hand to answer questions or clean or give you any towels or anything. We didn't have any trouble so it worked out fine, and we did really like the location. This was also a great price and I think a good value overall for staying in Barcelona.

The hotel was fine, the location was pretty good because it's close to a very nice street and it's a wealthy neighbourhood. The elevator always helps when carrying the luggage. The room though was very small (almost no place to move around) and the soap was re-filled with water (picky detail, but kind of unnecessary), towels are daily changed and the cleaning was great. The only thing that was extremely unpleasant was the lady who offered us a room somewhere else, who was annoying and rude, and exceeded the limits of confidence as soon as we got to the hotel, besides the fact that her offer (when we didn't accept it) cost us 20 Euros of taxi. This was really unnecessary as we were just arriving and just wanted to settle in the city. Besides that, the hotel was good, and really well located (Close to a metro station, Sagrada Familia and in a nice area) And maybe if the lady offers you that room it has some cooler features (but no personneel and in a worse location) and you may like it.

I stayed in this hostal for 6 nights and it was very nice. The location is good, 5 min from the metro, 2-3 stops or 15 min walk to placa Catalunya and main sightseeings. There was quite enough space in my single room. The shared shower is very clean and nice. I never saw anyone there during the whole stay despite the fact that the hostal was full. So i felt as if it was my private shower. They also have a kitchen with a fridge and the internet is totally free. When I had to call the hotel in Valencia and speak to them for 30 minutes, I could also do it for free from their phone. The reception is friendly and helpful with everything! The only minus is that the people who clean the rooms, are very loud when they do it. I didn't get up early (around 10-11) and it was loud several times and I had to get up earlier because of this earlier as they woke me up when talking so loud. Also it's better to take the room a liitle bit further or on another floor from reception as people come there and it can be noisy sometimes, but mostly it was fine with it. I had a very nice experience staying in this hostal and would definitely go there again.

The rooms are small but clean, they were helpful about the towels and wash basin. Noisy at night and should bring earplugs. Meals are not included, you can use the breakfast cafe opposite the hostel. I was surprised at the old manual elevators... The location is close to station. very good price!

A short overnight stay, so the small, converted utility closet - complete with apparently a solvent bottle carton - was OK. I learned to turn off the in-(utility-)room buzzer. WiFi was good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is very nice located, close to the Sagrada Familia area. Tube station is within 5 mns. Price is ok for the area and service provided although it's a bit noisy.

At first I didn't think that shared bathroom was a good idea. But when I used the bathroom,I changed my mind.Because it was very clean. My room was very small but it's size was enough for one people. You can go to metro only in 3 minutes. This is the most important advantage...

My partner and I stayed in Hostel Felipe II for 3 nights. Overall, our stay here was pretty good. Our room here was tiny, but that was ok since all we were doing was sleeping anyway. Rooms are cleaned every other day and there is free wifi. There was a small kitchen area but we were'nt sure if we were actually allowed to use it (there were no signs on the door and it was generally shut entirely), even after asking. The receptionists spoke a VERY small amount of english but were very friendly. One down side about our room was that it was right next to reception which was sometimes very loud (305).

My room (one single) was V-E-R-Y small and quite noisy. The location of the hostal was quite good, in 150m to the metro station and Avenida Diagonal; Sagrada Familia and Passeo de Grasia in a walking distance. Room services and overall cleaning was done every day. Generally the price was even a bit large compared to the services offered. As per my opinion it's suitable for the person, which is looking just for a bed (but again it would be a problem if it's raining outside and you have to stay in your room).

The location is great, the rooms are simple but clean. The advertised rate is for shared facilities ($20 more for private bathroom). Still, a good deal for the price.

The hotel was very, very, clean. The staff was friendly, welcoming, helpful. The neighborhood is great; I walked to almost every important site in the city. The internet access was great and the lounge a very friendly spot to relax. HOWEVER,it was not clear to me from the web site that the single rooms do not include private bath. And although I actually never had to wait for the bathroom, I did not like having to walk down the hall in the middle of the night to use it!! Also -- even if you want to use the scary elevator, you must drag your luggage up a small flight of stairs to get to it!
