Overall very good experience. Our room was quiet, facing the back side. The pool is microscopic. Web access was slow. Excellent, central location, in close proximity to metro station.

Booked superior double room on line and the room we were given at check in was exactly as shown on the hotel web site; very spacious, clean, comfortable and well furnished with a private balcony. Despite the outlook onto many apartments, offices etc we found it remarkably quiet at night. Having a balcony enabled us to have natural fresh as opposed to the air conditioning which was a welcome option. Staff were polite and efficient at check in/out. Didn't bother with hotel breakfast as there are adequate local bars/cafes. Hotel was away from the noisiest tourist areas but still within walking distance from Paseo de Gracia area with its large selection of restaurants and other facilities and from the Sagrada Familia. Would definitely use this hotel again.

A well-presented 3+ star hotel in a great location near Sagradia Familia and metro. Our room was excellent in size and decoration and being at the rear was very quiet. Breakfast not included though should have been at the room price. In-house restaurant meals were of good quality and reasonably priced.

Stayed for 3 days in January, 2010. Everything was excellent. The only annoying thing was water pressure from the shower. It has been unstable, so the temperature was changing all the time.

Elegantly decorated, the room we had was small but cleverly renovated to provide more space than the size of room would suggest. The public areas including the breakfast room were well laid out with 3 internet access points. A block from the Girona metro station, the hotel is conveniently located with a supermarket, a few bars that offer coffee and simple breakfast, convenience store and pharmacy in the vicinity. For the price we paid the hotel was great value and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend the Rita, a few blocks from the hotel towards Paseo de Gracia, for a good but reasonably priced meal.

This hotel was very very clean and looked as if it has only just been refurbished. The staff were very nice and the room was also very nice, the bed was the biggest I have ever seen. The roof top pool was only tiny but this area was very relaxing with areas to sit and chill out. We couldnt have been happier and I would reccomend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Barcelona

Room was well laid-out, with nice attention to details. very spacious washroom & shower. nice pool area. Our neighboors were loud, but hotel itself was great. close to metro/renfe to airport. walking distance to major shopping area, gothic quarter.

This is a nice, modern and well-run hotel. They do that 'Spanish' thing at the front desk in that they won't so much as acknowledge you until they're finished doing what they're doing, but that's a very small gripe - overall my stay was very pleasant. It's clean, fresh and has a quite 'funky' feel to it. Standard rooms are quite small but the free wifi and internet access in reception are a nice touch and the room was spick and span and attended to every day. I didn't go for the breakfast option because I'm a late sleeper and was glad I didn't because it seems a quite ambitiously priced buffet affair, for what you get in return. I ate mostly at the little corner cafe outside and had a toasted sandwich, coffee and juice for about €6.50. Hotel is practically beside the Girona metro stop so if you don't fancy the 20 minute or so walk to the Ramblas and tourist areas, the hotel is well located. Buy a ten jorney ticket on your first day if you think you'll be using the metro a bit, it's cheaper that way! I walked home in the small hours a few times and felt quite safe on the main streets as well. I'd definitely stay here again, it's safe, modern, clean, well run and in a decent location, and is a good balance on cost and quality.

First time to Barcelona, picked the Hotel Europark based on prior reviews and location. Nice boutique-type hotel in Eixample, about a 10-15 minute walk to Placa Catalunya, and 10 minute walk in opposite direction to Sagrada Familia. We felt safe walking around the area at all times of day/night. Location was good for us - being away from the crowds and noise of the main tourist area, but if that is your preference, there are other probably more expensive hotel options more central to La Rambla and Placa Catalunya. Hotel seems to have been recently renovated and nicely updated, everything was clean, but room had a musty smell (it could also have been drying paint). Free internet in the lobby was a plus. Nice pool/sauna area on the top floor although we did not use it. Front Desk agent at check-in was rather unfriendly, the night agents were much more approachable and helpful. Overall we were satisfied with our stay and the location. There are several good restaurants nearby and it is one block from a large market with fresh produce.

Unfortunately the lift was out of order on the day we arrived, but we were offered a room on the 3rd floor rather than the originaly 5th floor one & receptionist and staff readily carried our cases up. The air conditioning also broke down on the second day, but we were immediately offered a complimentary breakfast. We spent 5 nights here. Breakfast could be a little more imaginative. Hotel is very well situated .

We had stayed there before in 2002 and preferred it before the avant garde redecoration. The black and white decor was very attractive but it felt like sleeping on a crosswalk! Although everyone was very helpful and service was excellent it had lost some of the personal touch we had enjoyed on our previous visit. Good value but the breakfast was expensive and nothing special.

The elevator is the smallest I've seen. Our triple room was rather small, and the view was to the back yard. Not much to look at, but very silent, so we could sleep with the window open. The beds were very hard. The breakfast wasn't included in the room price, so we eat in a local bar on the corner. We chose this hotel mainly because it's close to the Metro and train station on the Passeig de Gracia and the reasonable price for a triple room.

Good hotel, with an excellent relationship price/quality. Very good position: 10min walk from Paseig de Gracia. Private parking is quite expensive (17euros a day), but it is next to the hotel. Only bad point: the elevator is too small!

Very pleasant hotel. Nice grounds, pleasant pool and the un-touristy Girona is a treat, especially on a summer's Sunday evening. Only reservation was that 2 of the 3 reception staff on duty while we were there were a little surly!

Not a bad hotel but perhaps a little expensive given it's location and quality - it was approximately 15 minutes walk from Las Ramblas - not good when you've had a few too many. Warning:try not to stay here on or around 23rd June, especially if you need to be up at 5.00am for an early morning flight! It's proximity to some residential areas means you can get very closely involved in the locals 'Festival of Saint Juan' - I wouldn't normally complain but it was the only night I really needed some sleep and I had no chance of getting any!

This hotel is perfectly situated, being in between the old town and the Ramblas and the new town with the Gaudi architecture. It is not far to walk to the Sagrada Familia. The free internet access was invaluable as my friend's bag was stolen in the old town and we were able to send emails and find telephone numbers. The staff were most polite and courteous.

The hotel is about a 20-minute ride from the airport, which is less than 20 euros. Metro stops are relatively close to the hotel and the main avenue of restaurants and shops are a few blocks away. The hotel offers free use of internet services up to 10:30 p.m. The walls in our room are a little thin as you can hear guests above and next to you. Overall, we liked the hotel and would stay there again if we visit the city of Barcelona in the future.

My mom's single room (for single use) was tiny - seemed that the bathroom was more spacious! - but adequate as we were staying only one night. My double w/2 twins wasn't much bigger but quiet and comfortable. Overall hotel environment is spotless; given relatively low room rates combined w/ location, makes this a pretty good deal actually. I'll certainly keep the Europark in mind in the future.

The City is very nice, rooms were pleasing and clean, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and the buffet was comprehensive, but not included. The air in the room smelled strange, but i don´t know after what. Cleaning staff entered the room, inspite of "no cleaning" sign on the door. The door did not seem to be very reliable because it was waggling even after locking. Obviously it was fixed poorly after a previous burglary. Alltogether i enjoyed may stay in Barcelona and would return.

Our stay at the Europark was lovely as a result of clean air conditioned rooms and a competent and very helpful reception desk. We stayed in a triple which although was relatively small, each of the beds were a proper sized single. My only negative comment would be the small lobby area and lifts which could only fit one person and their suitcase comfortably. Location was relatively good being an approx 10 min walk from Passeg de Gracia metro, and about 25 min walk to the top of Les Ramblas.

We really enjoyed our stay at Europark. We had a triple room which had three full-sized single beds. The room was fairly spacious, very clean and well furnished. The bathroom was spotless and roomy and the shower was excellent. It was all double-glazed so noise was minimal. Overall, the standard was very similar to my experiences of Novotel and Premier Lodge type places in the UK. Breakfast was continental style with a large choice of foods. We found most of the staff very friendly and all the reception staff spoke English. The location is within walking distance of La Rambla (20 mins) and Sagrada Familia (10 mins) but directly around the hotel is very quiet with only a few restaurants and bars. It seemed to be mainly a business area - this might be because we were there over Easter weekend though. I would definitely recommend this hotel for people wanting to see the sights. For a lot of nightlife on your doorstep, you might want somewhere in a livelier area.

The room was very clean and well maintained. Similar to travel lodge but a bit smaller. The hotel is on a busy road, which gives traffic noise. The restaurant was not open in February, while the small bar area was. It is about 15mins walk to Catalunia Sqr, or about 3Euros taxi fare. I would use it again.

I chose this hotel simply as we were on a budget. Bearing this in mind, it was a great choice, even though the price didn`t include breakfast there was a supermarket a few doors down so we could collect provisions. It is about a 10min walk from the city which was about right for our needs. Noise from adjoining rooms could be heard, so its not for light sleepers. The staff spoke reasonable English and were helpful, the room was religiously cleaned and tidied. My only main gripe was with the map provided online - about as much use as a chocolate fire guard! That definately needs improving.

As a family with 4 children we had requested 3 adjacent rooms. Whenever we checked in, one of the rooms was not ready but we were told we could collect the key later. However on our return someone else was given one of the adjacent rooms. As a result, two of the children were by themsevles at the far end of the corridor, which was not a satisfactory arrangement.
