Hotel El Abrevadero - Barcelona

Not a high quality for the room I chose for the lowest price but a very good situation to visit the all town of barcelona. The staff was helpfull for me to organize my visits

Has a good location,accessable to all public transportation means.Can not find better one with that price and location but it has some negative points; some rooms have no A/C but ventilator instead (!) (room 504) and very hot.Some rooms have A/C but no control panel and it is getting freezing at some point.(room 104) TV has very basic remote control just to change channels in sequence. WİFİ in not functioning in higher floors and not FREE

The stay was good. Clean rooms and clean bathrooms. The location of the room was a bit clumsy and too many doors to open before you get into your rooms. No wi-fi in your rooms but you get good connection at the hotel reception. Hotel staff were staff were friendly and provided good tips around Barcelona. The hotel is also close to Metro station Parallel.

At arrival, I had a huge room with four beds, which I did not ask for, but after three days I was asked to move to a single room. When I refused, as I did not want to remake my luggage, the reaction of the person at the desk was not nice. The breakfast, not included in the price of the hostal, is bad. But there are very good places in the neighborhood where to have a very good and cheaper breakfast. A friend of mine made a reservation through internet during my stay there and he was offered a single room for a price much more convenient than the price I had to pay with two months in advance.

Cigarette ash from one of the former guests was lying on the floor of the room. That shows that the rooms are not cleaned on regular basis, respectively after every guest. The mountings in the bath also have been only cleaned from the upper side. The bath tub was rusty, so it costs an effort to take a shower there. The aeration in the bath don´t function, so the whole room smelles very musty. Also in the night it was very loud there, but because of the smell in the room, you couldn´t close the windows. The breakfast for additionally 7,- Euro was selfservice and for this price very poor. No recommendation from my side!

I wanted for my one week long vacation in Barcelona a small hostel, in the center of the city with good price- and I got it. The hostal was in the perfect location. My room was small, clean with basic things. I heard through walls my neighbour singing in the shower, but that did not bother me- it was a good song and after fourth time I could even sing along some parts. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn´t tell from my room what kind of weather was outside- rainy? windy? sunny? The staff was very nice and helpful. The nicest cleaning-ladies I have ever met. So...to sum it up- I would go back!

There were kids screaming and running up and down the halls all morning. The room was comfortable and well located.. The lobby stunk of cigarette smoke. The staff was kind and helpful and spoke, English and French. Would probably stay here again.

It waas clean and quiet, the service/staff was fiendly and knowledgable. Facilities in fair-good condition. Immediate neighborhood was quiet, but walking to the "ramblas" was sketchy at night. It was about 6-8 blocks away from the ramblas and markets, all walkable distance. I recommend it, In general you get a good deal for the money.

The Hostal Abrevadero is a perfect place for people with low requirements. The rooms are very basic equipped but clean. The metro station is just 1 minute away from the hotel. To la rambla i takes about 5 minutes with the metro and by foot around 10 minutes. We were four young people and it was just like we expected it. The price was ok. The only negative thing was that we had to pay every day, one night. One night we arrived at 5 am. and the men at the reception told us that we had to pay two night now. You can imagine that this was kind of annoying.

I think a 50 euro room should have at least a window that can be opened....

Location is best asset : close to metro, Ramblas, sea-front, shops. Rooms to the street can be very noisy because of the bar tropical just opposite. Only solution, enjoy BCN night life or switch on the fan to max volume! Clean. We were a bit surprised we had to pay 2€ to leave the luggage after check out...

Barcelona is a wonderfull city, lots of places to see and be. The "El Abravadero" is a nice hostal one block from one of the main avenues and a metro station. It is quite nice in a pleasant residential neighbourhood, walk distance of the "Ramblas" and the main attractions. Ask for the hostal attendant for tips on restaurants and other non tourist places in order to get it more real.

I paid a double price for the room i had. there was a problem with the electricity, i can't switch on the light when i had to dry my hair.

The Hotel is really close to the metro (Paral-lel), the room is very very small. To say that the finishes were poor is actually making them a compliment. Stink of fresh paint (or something alike in the air-freshner) was a constant presence. If you don't mind about that and you use the room ONLY for sleeping when you're exhausted after a night in the city well.. this is a good price/quality rate! The personnel is kind and present 24h a day.
