The hotel was welcoming - spotlessly clean - large bathroom with lots of hot water - heated towel racks - desk staff helpful (and all spoke English) - excellent value for money - but not in the heart of downtown. It is 2 minutes from the beach and about a 20 min walk to Port Olympico which offers lots of entertainment/dinner options - walk along the waterfront - there were lots of people around and generally appears safe for anyone to do. Also 5 blocks from the metro - appears safe but all stores closed after about 8 PM so perhaps not good for single women to do. Excellent value for money for the rooms - spacious - meals expensive but you don't have to use the hotel restaurants.
