Hotel Del Comte - Barcelona

The floor of corridors is made with wood so you will hear walking people in the corridor. Fortunately, during my staying, there was not a lot of people in the hotel. A second problem is at 7:30 every morning because women for the cleaning make a lot of noise with their trolleys.

Good hotel, located near a tube station. Rooms are clean and quiet. Not to big, but ok if you're staying for a short period of time. If you like to walk, in about 20-25 minutes you can reach "Las Ramblas" street and the "Barcelona Sants" rail station.

Very good hotel for the price. Clean and spacious. Very close to a metro station which made it very convenient. Just 20 minutes walk to Plaza Catalunya. Could improve in providing additional toiletries.

Only negative comment is regarding the double rooms. I was offered a double or twin on arrival and of course asked for double. However the size of the double bed and room is extremely small. The staff quickly transferred us to a twin room which was perfect (but a twin so you end up falling through the middle of the bed ha ha). This could have been explained straight away. Other than this a perfect stay. Thanks

Good hotel, in terms of location and accessibility to metro station. Bed (double) is too small even for two girls (friends), and this made sleep difficult.

Fairly good, and very clean hotel. However quite noisy as sound traveled easily in the hotel. Cleaning staff tended to be noisy in the mornings. Good location though and overall an enjoyable stay. Would consider staying the same hotel again.

Hotel is really nice and clean that it's very important for me.

Ottimo albergo, camera pulita e silenziosa. Ampio bagno ma senza bidet (cosa normale all'estero), con bagnoschiuma e shampoo (ma solo una boccetta per tre giorni). Molto vicino alla fermata del metrò (Urgell, linea rossa). Buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

L'hôtel était parfait, bien insonorisé par rapport aux autres chambres, un peu moins par rapport à la rue (rue très passante et seulement double vitrage et non triple). Le quartier d'Eixample est très sympa, avec quelques petits restos pas trop chers autour de l'hôtel et un super café juste à côté pour prendre son petit déjeuner (parce que payer 8 € à l'hôtel pour un petit déjeuner...). L'hôtel est surtout à 2 stations de métro de la place de la Catalogne (20 minutes à pied) et très bien desservi par les transports en commun. Une adresse que je recommanderai facilement.

Not so bad

L'hotel è situato in una zona tranquilla. E' l'ideale per visitare la città a piedi. Comunque la fermata del metrò è a 2 minuti. nei dintorni ci sono molti bar e un market. All'interno dell'hotel si trova una macchinetta per bevande calde e fredde. Se dovessi tornare a barcellona, prenoterei ancora qui.

This felt like a 4 star hotel, I am not sure why its only 3. In short, very new and clean hotel. Rooms were standard size, clean with large bathrooms, cable TV. Electronic safes were free and a nice surprise. Smoking and non smoking floors, so state beforehand which you need. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It felt like a safe area, no problems walking around at night. Only criticism is the noise, hardwood floors in hallway meant we could hear all and sundry coming and going.... that aside, great value, we were very happy.

This is a big hotel, clean, in a nice area of Barcelona, very close to the subway (Urgell; 50 meters). Breakfast is not included but there is a very nice café between the hotel and the subway (Quin) where you can have cofféè+croissant at 1,90 Eur. As expected from Venere's comments, rooms are not quite. However, nothing dramatic.

Room and facilities is ok as a two star hotel.But it is really noisy when you want to have a quiet sleep.The clop-clop by neighbour and the TV by upstairs made me toss and turn for a long time. But the position of the hotel is very convenient,just 5 minutes walk to urgell metro, 1 minutes walk to supermaket. And the stuffs are very nice and warmheated. I'll back to Barcelona and Hotel Del Comte.

We were visiting Barcelona for the weekend. The hotel was quite clean, and 1minute walking to the metro station, really good, because we moved with the metro everywhere. The hotel had free internet access and we had lunch in other cafe very close to the hotel, cause we thought 11 euros was too much for breakfast. Everything was rather good: room size ok for sleeping, very spacious and nice shower. The only disadvantage is that we heard the telephone from the neighbours ringing at 6 am and the vacuum cleaner in the morning: isolation is not that good. For the price, and the location I would recomend it.

Young couple on a 4 day break. Absolutely perfect hotel in a great location. The modern feel of the hotel and service is excellent. Could not have asked for better and value for money is a definate. Would stay again...I was doubtful after reading some reviews here but so glad I did ignore the bad ones!! Top class

Clean and cheap, all you need for a good w.e. Free internet access in lounge and a self distributor of water and snacks! very useful in the late night!

I would like to advise this hotel to those who they want to stay spending little. The hotel is much cleaning up and is apt also to a public with difficulties, the spaces is apt also to who makes use of wheelchairs, bathes is much space. The rooms are not soundproofed but this is not a problem because we have not found hosts noisy. The breakfast is not comprised in the price but around the hotels are many bars. The hotel is in position centers them, near plaza universitat and plaza de espana and with the metropolitan stop at 200 meters every city's angle are caught up comfortably

Room compact but clean and new. Work was being carried out outside our room & workmen outside window. Unable to swap room as no availability. Staff not very accommodating either. Location great for underground system. Would stay again if price right & no maintenance work being carried out!

For a fast bussiness travel is an excelent hotel. In the lasr 10 years i have been in about 20 diferent hotels in Barcelona and probably wil repeat with this one

A very nice hotel only two metro stops from the main square in barcerlona,plus a very safe area at night,theres a nice cafe around the coner heading for the metro where you can get a good breakfast if you dont want too spent 8 euro at the hotel .the room where nice two single beds but that the norm in spain i think.would stay here again great price and location.

I was robed in Barcelona. The reception of the hotel was not able to help with international cals, credit card phone numbers etc. The breackfast was ok. Do not have a coffee only as you will be chaged as a full breackfast. 11,00 Euros

We stayed 4 days and enjoed our stay. Very good location-2 metro station just two blocks away.You can easily reach by foot Las Ramblas, Montjuic and port. Nice and clean hotel with friendly staff. Free internet access int eh lobby. Supermarket in the next corner. We recommend to take the bus from the airport to the Hotel - the bus stop is only 3 blocks away and seems like a 30 minute tour in the city. Safe area to walk at night. We totally recommend this hotel and will stay again next time we visit Barcelona.

Welcome employer was like an iceberg. The chamber was single bed (not double, no extra pillows).

Veramente carino, confortevole, camere pulitissime e sufficentemente spaziose, fermata della metro vicinissima... unico inconveniete la privacy.. si sentiva tutto tra camera e camera.... comunque se dovessi tornare a Barcellona lo sceglierei nuovamente!!

Situato nella zona gay(io sono etero ma ormai e' risaputo che le zone gay sono sempre le migliori in tutto) è un buon hotel,personale cordiale,disponibile. a due fermate di metro da piazza cataluna

Room was single one but a little bit small. Very clean and comfortable. In the morning a little bit noise but not too bad Buffet breakfast was excellente. Attention at the desd was great at general.

Good hotel, nice and clean room. really kind staff. Really good position of the Hotel: underground station Urgell, a really comfortable area.

Very friendly staff upon arrival. Very helpful in giving information on the local areas and booking taxis etc. Sadly the walls are really quite thin so bring ear-plugs just in case you have noisy neighbours! We were a bit unfortunate as there was a football match on and there appeared to be some pissheads next door.

They can improve with very little effort. Some of the personal is new and need more experience. Very well located.

El hotel es excelente, la limpienza impresionante, muy amables... vale muchisimo la pena ir, es super centrico! solamente le agregaria neveritas a las habiaciones, pero esta de lujo.

Hotel was close to the fantastic underground system and only 2 stops away from the centre(Las Ramblas) Bedroom was small but adequate, bathroom was very spacious. Front of house staff were very welcoming The hotel is spotlessly clean. The only drawback was that there was no kettle/tea-making facilties in the room, a must after a hard days shopping in this fantastic city. We would go back again to this hotel

Having been robbed in Barcelona twice in three days we were delighted with the assistance provided by the female desk staff. They were extremely helpful and solicitous of our welfare. Hotel is very convenient to the Metro and there are all kinds of shops, restaurants and other facilities nearby. Hotel is very clean and most rooms quite quiet. Good value for money. ALVERGO OTTIMO, TRANQUILLO E IN UNA ZONA MOLTO COMODA PER L'ACCESSO ALLA METROPOLITANA, IN UN QURTIERE TRANQUILLO E PULITO. UNICA PROBLEMA è STATO L'ADDEBITO DELLE COLAZIONE, MAI FATTA IN ALBERGO DATO CHE ERA FALCOLTATIVA E DAL COSTO UN Pò ESAGERATO (9 EURO). IN OGNI CASO CONSIGLIATISSIMO, CI TORNEREI OGGI STESSO.

Un excellent rapport qualité/prix. Chambre très spacieuse et très propre. L'accueil est égréable. Les autres ont été un peu bruyant mais c'est à Barcelone !

Le foto non rendono. La posizione è migliore di quella che appare nelle foto. Le posizione è ottima: a 100 m si ha la fermata della metropolitana e la feramata dell'autobus che giunge all'aeroporto. Unico difetto: le stanze non sono molto luminose

The rooms are quite big and clean. The only disadvantage is that the breakfast is not included in the room priece and in the surrounding area are no bars or bistros where you can take it. But you just need to walk 2 minutes and take the metro to the city centre. I would surely stay here again!

I was in this hotel with my niece for three days. They made my bed and I got clean tower every day. The location was excellent. I was satisfied. Negatív: It was written in the guest reviews there was a snack bar. It was closed during our stay, so we had to go out to find a breakfast.

Though small, the room was more than adequate. Biggest plus is location: one block from Metro station and one block from drop-off point for Aerobus (bus service to airport). Both made travel to and from hotel very easy. Folks at hotel desk were very helpful in finding restaurants, tourist sites, etc. It's a good hotel for a reasonable price in a nice location.

Very near a metro station (urgell). lots of rooms in the hotel, and our room was quite spacious for european standards. it's obviously a new building, as evidenced by the modern furniture in the room. only downside was they charged the 1st night on my credit card even before we checked in.

Wij zijn 4 dagen in dit hotel geweest, het was een keurig en net hotel, zeker voor de prijs. Het zijn wel gehorige kamers, op zich hebben wij daar echter geen last van gehad. De plaats van het hotel is uitstekend, vlakbij een metrostation en zelfs een goedkope supermarkt om de hoek. Een ideaal hotel als je niet te veel geld wilt uitgeven! Als wij weer naar Barcelona zouden gaan kiezen we zeker voor dit hotel.

Nice hotel and staff ,very good ratio comfort/pricing!Better than some 3***! Sound insulation looks a bit poor and some rooms are noisy when located on the main street. Very clean, smily staff,close to the subway (Metro, 100m).Delightfull breakfast for 9,30€.Means you get energy enough to roam around without problem untill late afternoon. Well located one Metro stop from Catalunya Square, where starts the Ramblas. To be recommended,really, when one prefers to put his money in the museum visits and some nice typical restaurants (avoid the Ramblas,enter small streets both right or left sides,Barrio Gothic and old streets behind the harbour).Do not worry when the door seems small and the bar croudy : there is always a small dining room inside and often on the first floor!

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, even if not so spacious (but the bathroom was!). Close to metro station and to city center. Quality vs price is very good!

Having requested a double room for a couple on venere.com, the hotel staff believed we had ordered a double room for 1. we got a room with two single beds in the end.

This hotel represented excellent value for money.Spotlessly clean and a great location in central Barcelona on the Aerobus route from the airport.Will stay here again on my next visit to this great city.

This hotel was everything it was supposed to be ! the perfect budget hotel near to the centre of Barcelona , spotless, friendly,quiet the right locale for us. The booking was excellent we received our requested rooms and the staff were very helpful.

Albergo nuovo e pulito, si trova in una zona tranquilla vicino al centro, ed è a due passi dalla fermata della metropplitana, gli addetti alla reception sono stati sempre gentili, alcuni parlavano anche italiano, il mio giudizio è ottimo. Unica pecca la colazione che non è inclusa nel prezzo e costa 9 euro in più, comunque vicino all'hotel vi sono un supermarket e svariati bar.

Lo aconsejo. Esta bien situado, cerca del metro y con varias combinaciones de autobus. Por lo demas el trato de los empleados siempre fue magnifico

Absolutely geat! The staff is really lovely and professional, rooms are spatious and well cleaned every day. It's located approx 50 meters from subway station "Urgell" and at 10 minutes of walk from Plaça de Catalunia. The buffet breakfast is too expensive (9 euros!) but in the cafeteria of the hotel you can have cofee and croissant for approx 2 euros!Around the hotel there are a good number of cafès and restaurant...an advice: right in front of the hotel, the little restaurant "La Perinaca" offers real good tapas, sandwiches and meal at a very good price, and the owners are very nice! For people arriving late at night (as we did): don't worry, the reception desk is open 24 hours a day!!

Very helpful and friendly stuff. A small and nice hotel. We recommend it and would not hesitate to return. We had no problems with "noise at night" as some other customers reported. It is located very central. Even with our children (8 and 10) it was no problem walking to all the places of interest (Rambla, harbour, even Olympia-Park) and to reach the hotel by airport-bus (busstop Urgell at Gran Via, then just two minutes walk to the hotel -only with heavy suitcases a little problem). One useful information beside: By taxi you pay about 20 Euros, by bus (with 4 persons) almost 15 Euros. So taxi is a good alternative.

The hotel room was very clean, bed very comfortable, and AIR CONDITIONED. It was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in during our Europe trip. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying there again!!!!!

Good hotel and had a very enjoyabe stay. Didn't find the quietness of rooms a problem but then we were at the end of a corridor with few surrounding rooms. Excellent room facilities, only would have like a kettle! We did find that the hotel tried to access our bank account before we left England, however bizarrely no money was taken out - couldn't work out why they did this, so something to watch out for. Would definitely reccommend this hotel.

1. I expect one Double Bed instead of two twin bed put side by side. I nearly fall in the gap when I sleep with my wife. 2. No hot water for drinking. The reception ask me to go to near by bar for hot water (or cold water). 3. Not easy to find back the hotel at night. Suggest to add some sign near the entrance of the underground station or at the main street.

First the good news - the hotel is bright, clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. Now the bad news and it is bad - there may as well be no walls between the rooms - it is truly awful. Every time someone had a shower it was deafening and I am not exaggerating. I was woken on two successive mornings at 5 am by the person next door having a shower - while it was quite easy to hear even a quiet conversation in the next room. If that were improved I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel but with the present situation I could not recommend it to anyone and would not return. I cannot understand why there are not regulations about minimum standards of soundproofing in hotels.

Hotel nearest the centre of the city, clean, not expensive. Only one problem: all the hotel is on a first floor; same rooms are not so quite (above a crossroads); just change the room !!

Feines, sympathisches Hotel ohne Schnickschnack, neu eingerichtet, sehr sauber, günstige Lage (U-Bahn ums Hauseck). Ideal, um einfach zu übernachten. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen wieder.

We booked the hotel, largely on the recommendation of a review on the website. On arrival at the airport, we walked out of the terminal and the bus was parked outside. 2 stops along the route and the driver called out our stop. We walked to the hotel as described in the previous review. So grateful we hadn't travelled by metro, which would have involved carrying cases up and down stairs. The hotel was spotless; towels were changed every day and bed linen on alternate days. Reception was courteous and spoke English. A point to note: the rooms don't contain a kettle so, if you want to make a cup of tea or coffee, it is worth taking a small travel kettle with you. The room wasn't spacious but was plenty big enough: twin beds, wardrobe and desk, plus bathroom with good shower. We stayed for 6 nights and could comfortably have stayed longer. Travel to the centre was easy - a couple of stops on the metro (the station is only 2 mins from the hotel). Mostly we walked, as it only took 20 mins. Highly recommended.

Extreemely helpful staff tracked down suitable food and organised for me to get to a doctor when I beacme sick. Large clean rooms. Unfortunately other guests were frequently loud during the night. Vegetarian restaurant around the corner.

I think this hotel was excellent value for money, although I only stayed overnight. It's location is central to all amenities and within walking distance of both the Aerobus and Metro system. Having landed at Barcelona airport I walked outside and within 2 minutes I was on the Aerobus. The cost on this very efficient transport in 3 euros 68! Two stops further down the road, 20 minutes, and I am getting off the bus. You then cross the main road and from there you can see the hotel sign being displayed from the walls of a local building, giving directions as to where the hotel is. No more than 2 minutes walk away from the bus stop! The reception staff were excellent, speaking very good English and polite. The double room that I booked was very clean, a little on the small side but very adequate. TV and hairdryer in every room but on the down side of this is that there are no coffee making facilities and a charge is made for the TV remote. (not that I wanted it anyway). Breakfast is not included in the price and this comes quite expensive for a continental breakfast at 8 Euros, even if you just want a cup of coffee the price is the same, but there are plenty of local cafes that offer breakfast at a lot lower price. The local metero station is only a few minutes walk away and the return Aerobus bus stop is a little further away, maybe 5 minutes. Ask at the hotel and they will give you directions. They run at approximately 15 minutes intervals. All in all, a great night stay in an excellent hotel that is rated 2*, very reasonable prices and I would return without hesitation for a weekend stay next time! Thanks
