Excellent location just off the main Metro station in Barcelona. Nothing spectacular but good value for money. Clean hotel and reasonably spacious rooms. Nice modern decor.

its definately more a turist hotel very close to metro i found the rooms very nice and clean with plenty of room bed very comfortable the biggest problem was road noise the window did not close properly at the top so we were awakened early each morning it would put me off staying here again it seemed to be a problem with all the windows as we took a look up from outside

Very pleased with this hotel, provided you accept the location. It is very close to a metro station and major bus station, but a bit of a walk away from the heart of the city.

Excellent hotel! Will definitely stay at this hotel and other Confortels again. Free mini bar and wifi were great. Along with the Gym and service by the staff, it made for a wonderful stay in Barcelona. Fabulous Hotel!

Excelent location, 1 minute to Arc de Trimof metro station and its 4 stop from Universitat and Catalunya Metro stion. The hotel offers free mini bar, the room is clean & spacious. I have a wonderful stay in Barcelona and it was the best and cheapest hotel I have stayed in Spain. Worth the money!

the hotel is really nice and quite inspite of construction works held out in the street next to our hotel. a great terrace on the roof, with a small swimming pool. it`s situated near to the center and to the sea, safe to walk around in night.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only annoying thing was that the swimming pool water was freezing, and nothing could be done about that. Apart from that, it was great. A free mini bar and free internet, were a big bonus. It is a 20-25 minute walk to the main areas. The metro is atleast a 12-15 min walk as well.

The swimmingpool and terrace was not as expected from the photographs, and the pool was dirty. Except from that this was a pleasant stay.

Everything very good..stayed a year ago and was just the same. Room for improvement, no bellboy to bring luggage to room. No face cloths and no hair conditioner. Small complaints. Love the free mini bar and free wireless internet...a big plus. Location was great for what we needed and they have excellent parking...which is a big plus. Quiet area with stores and restuarants. Recommend Jaizebels around the corner for very nice dinner, or tapas. Plenty of bar/cafes around the hotel. Is outside of the ramblas etc..but I like it like that.

Hotel and facilites excellent. No complaints about this whatsover. However the only dissapointment was that it was too far from the Main Square or Las Ramblas- about 20min walk from Hotel.Guadi's cathedral is about a 10 min walk and the Arc de Triomf is about two blocks away.

This hotel is a very nice place to stay in Barcelona. Staff is very very friendly and competent. The rooms and public areas of the hotel are great. all very clean and beautiful. The pool is quite small, but big enough to cool your body after sight seeing. There's only one negative thing about this hotel: you have to go about 10 to 15 minutes to have some nice restaurants and shops. the area near the hotel is really quiet. buses and metros are just a few minutes away (but girls: think twice if you wear high heels ;-)!!!). But alltough the hotel is really great and friendly and i would come there again!!

Very nice stay in this hotel. Clean and comfortable. Slightly noisy air conditioning was the only downside plus the swimming pool isn't worth the name. Oh, and the breakfast was expensive but at least optional so you can go eat elsewhere if you like. They do try and go a little bit further than most similar hotels. Free mini-bar. Free internet access. PCs in the lobby or take your own laptop(Wi-Fi worked fine in our room). Not just soap and shampoo but razor and toothbrush supplied. The area round the hotel is safe and fairly quiet but uninspiring. Away from the touristy areas, but that can be an advantage. The metro was a 5 minute walk at most. Not sure why some reviewers thought the location was inconvenient.

When checking out I noticed the guy in front of me paying EUR90 per double room per night. I was charged EUR170 for a double room per night. I dont know if my double room, which was small, was of a better standard than the room charged at EUR90, but I expect not. The hotel is very nice perfect for couples but this sort of inconsistent pricing leaves a bit of a sour taste. I would return to this hotel but only if I was sure I was getting the best rate.

I stayed with my wife at Confortel Auditori for six nights. The hotel was very clean and very well located. Our flight arrived early in the morning and although we couldn't check-in until 1 p.m. the receptionist was kind enough to give us our room from 8 a.m! The staff was very kind and willing to help and the hotel was within walking distance from the city center and very close to a metro station. I would definitely stay at Confortel Auditori again!

I have booked a twin beds room for two nights, when we back to hotel at 1st night, we found that one bed was missing a blanket, we ask front desk for blanket, they said due to full house on that night, they cannot swap another room's blanket to us, also they haven't got the maid's room key, that's why they can do nothing! It was quite strange to us, becasue we are not asking for extra blanket, it just a normal procedure that should have one blanket for one bed, also how come no maid room key in the front desk!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. Our room could have been a bit larger, but it was comfortable, very clean, and tastefully decorated. Good value for the money and OK location and breakfast. Free Internet service in the lobby very positive. On the negative side: annoying sounds from the hallway and people showering in the room next to ours. But, on the whole a very nice stay.

This hotel has great design and sit on a very good location. They've provided nice writing table and cool magazine. Easy access to subway. It took me a long time for my check in. Not because the staff was not efficient, but it was probably there was a lot of people at the time.

This is a good quality hotel at a reasonable price. The location is 2 mins walk from the bus station (drop off point from the Ryanair bus)and Las Ramblas is 10 mins max in a taxi. The staff are friendly and efficient. We used the hotel as a base for a football trip and found it ideal. Hail. hail.

Highly recommended for its price and quality. The mini bar was refilled every day and was appreciated. The room was modern, clean, and comfortable. Made use of the internet available in the lobby. I think the reason the hotel price is so reasonable pertains to its location. We stayed there for 8 nights and enjoyed the walk to the center of the city or took the nearby metro. The hotel is in a quiet area and is preferred to the noise level in the center of the city. A food market is about 1 block away and has everything you would need. Considering the price and quality, it is an excellent choice.

We have a lovely stay in Barcelona for 3 days in February. The hotel service was good. Cleanliness, quitness, spaciousness were quite well. We liked the LCD TV and free mini-bar. The interiors' design also have to be mentioned. The small dislike was the location (aside from touristic "hustle and bustle" quaters). In my opinion it was the location advantage , but we faced some problems with dining in the evenings. If you want to have dinner you should go to the central quarters by metro(Playa Catalunia, Gotic Quater, Rambla). We failed to find good restaurants but Chinese nearby. There are also several chinese service stuff (as hairdress and beauty saloon) in the neighborhood. Nevertheless it was easy to get to any other place by metro.

Lovely! I stayed in Barcelona for nine days this feb, staying in three different hotels. The Confortel Auditori was by far the best, and only of my better hotel stays of all time. The cost of the hotel is a bargain compared to the cleanliness of the rooms and attitude of the staff. Clean, competent, and very gracious. A nice plus is the cold, minibar restocked daily and available gratis. A good place for a traveler to store extra snacks! So many times, hotel room minibars are barely lukewarm. Breakfast is pretty substantial, but breakfast at a hotel will always be pricey. If you aren't much of a breakfast eater, skip it. There's a bakery across the street, a supermarket five minutes away, and many cafes nearby. The Confortel is about five minutes from the Arc de Triomf metro stop, right by Parc Ciutadella. It's about 20 minutes from Placa Catalunya, and maybe 10-15 from La Sagrada Familia. It's right in L'Eixample and the surroundings are pretty quiet. I never felt unsafe at night, but it's best to be vigilant of your surroundings, regardless. There's a friendly bar across the street, La Higuera, as well as a bakery for your morning bread. I'm a vegan and particularly liked the location of the Confortel to Placa Urquinoana, which featured a branch of the all-you-can-eat salad bar, Lactuca. The Confortel is lovely. A good option for business travelers, sightseers who want a bit of distance from the crowds at Placa Catalunya, or those seeking a more neighborhood-type vibe.

The price/quality ratio is well above the average. Hotel rooms are quite small, but not smaller than that is expected from the web pages. But the size of the bathroom compensates it (ours was with a bath-tub). The location is perfect. It is a safe neighborhood, more a residential district than commercial, yet there is one very nice Italian pizzeria across the hotel (Cantonata)and very conveniently priced shopping center nearby. Arc de Triomf, the metro station, and the Central Bus station (Station North)for intracity buses are a few hundred meters away, which all make travelling without any problem. The employees at the reception desk are competent and kind. The only thing that did not conform with the web pages was the breakfast price (13 euros pp advertised but it was 16 euros pp and was overpriced. You are charged about 11-13 euros for similar quality breakfast in most other European hotels.

Nice modern hotel which surpassed our expectations for a 3* standard. Only glitch was when one employee on night shift charged us 1 Euro for a small cup of hot water! It is not an issue of the money but we didn't expect it since all the drinks in our mini-bar was free! Beware also of the scam near to Monumental (the bullring). We were approached by a 'lost tourist' who asked if we spoke english and whithin 10secs 2 bogus 'cops'came along and accused us of illegally exchanging money! They flashed their 'license' quickly and demanded to see our passports but we told them our documents were in the hotel and they could go back to our hotel to check if they wanted. They gave up after a while and we quickly left the area. Be careful!!

The room was wonderful, loved the free minibar! The decorations were very very sleek in the room. Nice quality sheets and bedding. free wifi interent a big plus! Overall an excellent stay for us. Two suggestions are...Would prefer larger double beds. Also washcloths in the bathroom. The towels were wonderful in the hotel also. Love that this hotel was so quiet in the center of Barcelona which made it a wonderful retreat for us. Plenty of restaurants and cafes close by.

We stayed at the hotel twice, and the first experience was better than the second one. The hotel itself is nice, new, clean, with well-appointed rooms, and not far from the main city attractions -especially if you have a car or don't mind taking taxis. We were two couples travelling with one child each, i.e. 6 people in total, so we requested 2 triple rooms. During the first stay we were assigned the 2 triple rooms and it all worked well. However, when we arrived at the hotel the second time, they said they had ran out of triple rooms so they offered 3 double rooms instead. The problem is: How do you put two couples with two small children in three double rooms? The guy at reception was a bit rude and said he couldn't do anything. It was close to midnight, so we ended up taking the three rooms, and we move two mattresses from one of the rooms into each of the other two rooms, for the each child to sleep with their parents. We had to do everything ourselves because the guy at reception did not want to send anybody to help us. Other than that unfortunate incident, the hotel was Ok

Stayed here in September 2007. Hotel is a little bit removed from the La Rambla area but it compensates more than adequately in terms of quality, size of rooms and level of service. The room was spotlessly cleaned everyday and the mini-bar (which was free) was always restocked. Closest metro stop- was 5 minutes walk away. Didn't avail of breakfast but there are a couple of cafes close by. Would certainly recommend this hotel for value for money and standard of rooms. Only draw back is distance(by foot) to the central city area-

I really like this place. Very modern and clean design. We stayed at Ayre Caspe for two days, i would say this place was better in price and quality. Great free minibar! I think it is wonderful that they offer two free computer use in the lobby (unlike Ayre Caspe; they charge a fee even though their hotel rates are higher). The tiny swimming pool should have just been a jacuzzi....it was nice that it was on the terrace though. I would have enjoyed it more if it was a jacuzzi. Not as close to the metro but still walking distance. But overall; I thought this place was great.

Good hotel, stayed 4 nights from 30th July. Easy 20 mins stroll to the centre. Cheap taxi ride back,3 EU, although drivers struggled to find the hotel on a number of occasions. Take your key card with address! Near the Arc de Triomphe and bus station. We stayed in the hotel Caspe last year and used this as a reference point for the drivers! Small pool on the roof. Nice to soak in and chill out after a hard days site seeing. Free Internet usage in reception area. Free mini bar in room, restocked every day. (beer, water, pop and fruit juice). Room very clean, air conditioned and flat screen TV. Plenty of toiletries, hairdryer provided. Only downside on the room was the size. Quite compact but we did have a 3rd bed in the room. Staff very helpful, polite and English speaking. Helped with providing information on best ways to travel to see the sites Breakfast 13 EU for continental, a tad expensive, we used a little coffee shop around the corner. Coffee and large patisserie 2.50 EU, no contest! The city was very, very, very busy. Stayed late August last year and it was busier than then! The site seeing bus, which is a good way to see the city, we had great difficulty in getting on the open top deck. In fact on one occasion after visiting Parc Guell the queue for the bus would have entailed around an hour wait. Decided to take the taxi back to the city centre. Only 9EU for the 3 of us ! The zoo is worth a visit. Very clean and well cared for animals. The free ‘Dancing Fountain’ show on a Thursday nights is worth seeing. It gets very busy. We arrived at 20:15 and was able to get some seats at a small bar area. If you want to use the toilet be prepared for a long wait. My daughter waited over 20 minutes! We used the metro back to the hotel. Very safe & easy to use. Be careful on Las Rambles. You hear about pick pocketing in this area, we saw it first hand and saw the perpetrator get caught! Probably go back next year and this hotel will be on our list.

The location of this hotel is far better than I had realised from the information. It's 5 mins from the bus terminal for Girona airport, and also from Arc de Triomp (sp?) railway station. The main coast line goes through here, and regional expresses stop at it. It's only marked on the maps as a metro station. Things we loved about the hotel: * Free mini-bar with soft drinks and beer. So much better than getting nickel-and-dimed. * Free internet access in the foyer. We didn't check out the free wifi, but certainly would see that as a plus. Things we would have liked: * Bidet in the bathroom. * Coffee maker in bedroom. Overall, fantastic. And going off-season through Venere, fantastic value too!

Confortel Auditori Hotel was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay for my long weekend in Barcelona. It is modern and clean with good facilities. It is in a reasonably central location and you can walk to the majority of the tourist sites on foot (La Rambla, Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila, etc). There are also supermarkets and patisserie shops that sell fresh bread and cakes for the morning munch! When I stayed, the hotel provided a free mini bar in the rooms which was refreshing change, however, although advertised on their websites of free WiFi internet connection in all rooms, I was unable to detect a WiFi signal within the room. The only time I was able to connect to the internet was in the common area (where I was able to see the wireless router). If you need the internet, take your LAN lead and connect in the rooms as I do not believe WiFi is available in the rooms. I also choose the hotel because it was located 300metres from Arc de Triomf metro-station that had a direct train link (without changing trains) to the Airport. Although the hotel is still easy to reach, from the start of August 2006, RENFE introduced Line 10 which results in a train change at Sants-Estracio station. In summary, it was a good stay at Hotel Confortel Auditori, and I would stay here again.
