The room was quiet. And it had a bath tub. But, unfortunately, I did not find vegetable at breakfast. If you would like to have vegetable at breakfast, I do not recommend. But the others are excellent.

Nice place; central location near Picasso museum and Gotic cathedral; clean; not much noise from the streets; though a bit scary to get there alone after midnight.

The hotel has a very convenient location. The staff is very nice and some "details" provide a good service (free water bottels in fridges at every floor, free and fast wifi). Tne roof top at the 5th floor is quite unique. It is our 5th stay in Barcelona and We warmly recommend this hotel.

Hotel's location very convinient for visiting the city. On 6th, last floor great terrance with symbolic pool (rather for kids) and modern cosy seats and tables to rest after sightseeing. Windows are almost soundproof and isolate from the outside noise (Princessa is an old-style, very narrow one-way street with a lot of things happening almost 24h/day, causing "city noise", a part of this city part amosphere) but since you close the window, you can hear the lauder neighbours next door and everything from the corridor. We tried to eat breakfest once, but we almost failed to do so - 15minutes before end of service (11.am) the restaurant was almost cleaned and all that left was an orange juice and few toasts with jam. Punctually at 11.am everything dissapeared :) So if you are a fan of rich continental breakfest, you should take your chance a little bit earlier to examine the full potential of CIUTAT. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are cosy and exactly what you need to rest after exhausting day in a city, but there's no extra space for a daytime activity (in double room). Small balcony to stand and enjoy the view of Pricessa in both directions. SUMMARIZING: Good choice for "city animals" ;) willing to have a starting point for exploring the City (walking 3min distance from metro station - yellow line, 10min from Bus Turistico)

The hotel has certainly met my standard,as one can see from my generally good rating. Just a couple of remarks: those who are accustomed to it, may be missing a bidet in the bathroom. And, at night, the street below is often noisy, which however is understandable, given the mass of young people visiting Barcelona. The location is the strongest point in my view, really strategic, with a lot of the most beautiful corners just at walking distance. Will stay again at this Hotel if I'll have a chance to go to Barcelona for an hopefully longer vacation.

I could recommand the Hotel Ciutat, but we had a room without view, what means with a very small window on a inner courtyard. The room was dark the day long. In the night, it was impossible to sleep with an open window, because the sound of the air conditioning system was extrem loud, even with a closed window.

Modern and clean, with everything I demand of a hotel where I just spend the nights. They even have a (small) rooftop pool, must be convienent on hot summer days. Friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are ok, although not excessively equipped; there were no minibar, fridge, hair dryer or coffe-making equipment in my room. Plus for the (small) balcony. I booked this hotel because of it´s position; next to the old quarter, a few minutes walk to the harbour/beach. Perfect. To my opinion good value for money, recommend it.

This is a well located Hotel, within easy reach of all the major attractions, due to the close proximity of the Metro. The facilities are very good and the staff were very helpful and poilte. The rooftop terrace and pool were excellent and different from other hotels. Two minor gripes, room wasn't soundproofed, lots of street noise and tea/coffee making facilities would be welcome.

Great hotel in fabulous location in old town. Parking close by and they can let you pull up out front when you arrive/leave if you arrange it. Breakfast is a bit expensive but you get a buffet style and plenty of it. Rooms are modern, clean, wooden floors, reasonably spacious with good bathrooms. Stayed in winter and had lots of hot water and great heating. Hotel is literally two mins walk to Picasso museum (don't bother unless you are a true art lover), has some handy bars and breakfast places all around the hotel, and the metro just up the road. Definitely recommend.

Very happy with this hotel! Our room was on the 3rd floor with a little terrace overlooking the street. It was plenty big for my friend and I. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large with a surpisingly strong shower, and plenty of hot water. Furniture is simple and spare - yes, a little IKEA-y, but I much prefer that over plush "luxury" hotel furnishings. And the free wifi worked perfectly. We were there in January, so the rate was totally reasonable. Only complaint would be that you can hear every noise in the hall, so when housekeeping starts banging around at 9AM it can be a little annoying if you were out late the night before. I love the neighborhood b/c I like the ancient feeling of the small streets and I have a friend who lives nearby - I never felt unsafe or spooked, but he did say pickpockets can be a problem in that area.

We were really pleased with this hotel. It is within easy walking distance of most of the tourist sites. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We were given a room at back of hotel when requested and an extra blanket within 2 mins of asking. Room temperature was very comfortable - weather was cold.

The hotel was in a good central location. The room was on the street! We had a window that if you left the curtains open was like being on display. All could see inside from head to toe. And the noisy.... not only from the street, but also in the hotel.

Very modern hotel in great area of Barcelona. The hotel is very close to the Gothic area and the Picasso Museum. Free bottled water and internet terminals help make this a real gem. It also has a nice pool and terrace on the roof. It's close to Las Ramblas (10mins walk) and 2 mins from Jaume II Metro. Highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent location. approx 20 mins walk(with hand luggage) from Plaza Catalunya , 10 mins from La Rambla. We found Sagradia Familia, Rambla, beach, Montjuic, all easily accessible by foot without the need for the metro. Spotless room. Super large bed. Good soundproofing from road. Some sound from neighbouring rooms but nothing inconvenient. Bathroom sink tap wonky and half loo flush button missing. Reported, and immediately logged by staff so trust repairs will be made for next visitors. Cafes / pastry shops just across the road if you fancy breakfast out (we did as we decided 9 euros was too expensive for breakfast). Countless tapas bars to sample within 5 mins walk in pleasant neighbourhood. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and its nice. The staff is friendly and the room was already ready at 11 o'clock and I could delay the check-out to 14 o'clock. The hotel is close to the train station estacio de franca and one Metro station. It is surrounded by many small restaurants what is nice. You reach the Rambla and the placa catalunya with a walk of 10 to 15 minutes. The breakfast was ok (but too expensive...but everything in Barca is too expensive). There was scrambled egg and some cold cuts, some joghurt and fruits (both not anymore enough if you only took breakfast after nine o'clock. I never ate something else in the restaurant. On each room the internet is free and the required LAN cable is available at the reception. I would return to the hotel if it had not been so noisy. This was really the only really negative point. Even with closed window the outside street noise of the night-life was very loud and I partially could not sleep (and I would say I am not extreme noise sensitive). As the dot on the i there was in front of my window a glass recycling point.... I believe the night-life noise is tentatively a problem in hotels in Barca, but next time I would take a soundproof hotel.

I traveled with my husband. We didn't take any meals at the hotel. We don't eat breakfast and liked to take main meals at different restaurants in the neighborhood. The room was big enough for us and clean and with the windows closed and the ac running at minimum we heard street noise at all and we didn't hear any noise from other rooms either. We enjoyed to relax a few hours between sightseeing etc. on the deck chairs of the terrace on the roof. We would go there again.

Apart from the very thin walls, we found the room and services excellent. Most of all, we loved the fact that they offer free bottles of water on every floor. The location is great, very close to the Picasso museum (2mn walk) as well as las Ramblas (10mn walk). Great choice.

Ciutat was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to Barcelona. The Picasso, pre-Columbian and Xocolate museums are just across the streets, the port, beach and 2 metro stops within a few blocks, and delightful cafes and bakeries at every turn.

Great location in heart of the Born. Rooms quite stylishly decorated but also basic. Great to have free bottles of water available and also internet access. Found staff very friendly the whole time we were there. Thin walls to rooms and also fairly busy street outside - i slept well but was glad to have ear plugs. Overall I thought it was a little expense for a basic, but clean and extremely well located hotel.

Hotel is very well positioned in generally quiet area (also by night) few steps from noisy Ramblas in the Gothic quartier. It is comfortable for everyone who hasn't a car. Average price for taxi to/from airport El Prat was 25 euro. Hotel is also near to Barceloneta restaurants and the beach. Interior design of rooms is very modern and functional. We didn't check the restaurant of the hotel, cause there are a lot in the surroundings of the hotel. Swimming pool is a small tub, but the terrace view and sun beds are very comfortable to rest in afternoon after long walks of seesighting.
