Excellent location, 100 yards from bus stop.Room small, walls thin, but we didn't come to sleep so was not a problem.Staff at reception very friendly and helpful, especially young lad who had spent few months in Ireland last year, he couldn't do enough to help.Stay away from hotel bar - complete rip-off. €16 for glass beer and gin & tonic ! Needless to say it was empty most of time. Overall an enjoyable stay in a comfortable, very clean hotel with very friendly staff. Will stay here again.

The location of the hotel is amazing. It's one block away from Las Ramblas so definitely not as crowded HOWEVER, it is on a busy street with big retail stores so during day, expect lots of people. It was my first time in Barcelona but I really liked the location of the hotel. When the retail stores close, the street is quiet but very safe. The hotel is between two metro stations and therefore it's convenient to access many different metro lines. The hotel is clean and the two single beds were very comfortable. Air conditioner works well. Bathroom is up to date, spacious, and clean although bathroom door does not lock. As with most European hotels, walls are thin and you can hear people in the halls. The pool is TINY and the two times I tried to use it, a family with two kids had overtaken it. Two kids is just enough for the pool. Staff is not particularly friendly and I found it rude that they asked if I needed help and if I was staying in the hotel.

Very centrally located - perfect for me! Greeted by very helpful and friendly Receptionist who met all my requirements and then some!! In fact, all Receptionists most helpful indeed particularly when my flight(s) home were cancelled due to snow! Lovely old building - particularly staircase - yet modern bedrooms. Would highly recommend it.

To expensive. We rent 2 dual rooms. The windows were on a wall 2 meters far. Doors are noisy when closing. We order and paid a flamenco show via the reception, they just forgot to book it.

My stay was quite enjoyable, the hotel amenities made it possible to fully relax while being in the middle of a frantic area of beautiful Barcelona

SSecond stay at this hotel. Spent one night prior to cruise. Right at the doorstep to aerobus so very convenient. Also not on the busy and overpriced stretch of Las Ramblas, but within ten minutes walking distance. I prefer the sstreet of Portal De L'Angel as it is quieter, less dodgy and has more commercial shops. It is also a stone's throw from the lovely quaint sidestreets that are full of character. Hotel: Quiet, pleasant and accessible. Staff were friendly and helpful. I paid EUR99 fora double room in a large room with a splendid large balcony overlooking the swimmingpool and garden deck. Can't say I could find any better at the price quoted. Breakfast not included in price, but I am familiar with Barcelona and know where the splendid eateries are. Otherwise, the set lunch menu and breakfast buffet also offer decent menus. I would highly recommend this place!

I have stayed at this hotel at several occations, and its an ideal place to stay if you want to be close to "everything". Lots of nice restaurants, museums and other interesting locations within a few minutes. The hotel itself is a place to relax and sleep, not much to experience here. But I guess we go to Barcelona to experience the city, not the hotel....

A friend recommended the hotel. It was excellently situated for sightseeing and general tourism. The bedrooms were quite small but well equipped and clean. The notice regarding water shortages and washing of towels was ignored by staff who replaced towels everyday inspite of hanging them up and not leaving them on the ground! The lounge/leisure facilities were very small, the breakfast very expensive but there were many alternatives in the vicinity. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Barcelona and would recommend this hotel for its convenience and for the friendliness and good humour of the staff. Building site next door and across the street, very dusty and full of construction traffic!

we went at a very busy time (La Merce festival) so naturally the price and availability was much higher. It has a superb location and the staff is friendly. Very safe area and central to all shops and attractions. I would highly recommend

a bit noisy not because of his location (very central) but because of street works. the breakfast was not included and they asked us additional 13 euros each for a continental breakfast which we refused.

I would like to warn visitors that my laptop, digital camera and mobile phone were stolen from bedroom 401 on the 4th floor while I was eating breakfast in the dining room downstairs on Saturday morning, September 16. I was gone for approx. 45 minutes and the police thought that someone entered the room when the door was open while the maid was cleaning the bathroom... Although the hotel manager was very helpful and promised to check whether the hotel insurance would compensate my losses I have heard nothing since.

Very pleasant hotel, and very well located. The room was very clean, and with a big bathroom with many storage space, and very clean too. Breakfast-buffet a little expensive, but well furnished and various.

The hotel is located at the center of the shopping district of Barcelona with Benetton, Zara, Mango, Corte Ingles and numerous shoe stores in the vicinity. It's a 3 minute walk to the Barcelona Cathedral, as well as Plaza Catalunya (Metro Station) and the Las Ramblas. Though, taxis can't go in the street where the hotel is located, so you have to take a short walk from the Plaza Catalunya to the hotel. The room is spacious enough but it can get a just a little noisy at night.
