We had been traveling all over Spain. Our final destination in Spain was Barcelona and then we were flying to the USA. The staff was very helpful with any logistics of Flight boarding passes, airport transportation and any future reservations in our travels. Thanks to the staff of Ayre Hotel Caspe, we were able to spend more time enjoying Barcelona then dealing with logistics.

The location is good. Close to any major attractions. The bell boy was very nice and competent. However, when we arrived at the hotel at about 12:00, the rooms were not ready. So we walked around for an hour. Still not ready. We ended up waiting in the lobby until 2:15pm. Maybe the hotel is too busy at that time. Moreover, there's strange mechanical noise in the room all the time. And wifi signal is weak! But overall, it's good for what we paid.

This was a great deal, a modern and clean room for a decent price. I was able to check in at 9 am after getting off a cruise ship. The staff (multilingual)was extremely helpful with check in, directions, restaurant recommendations and printing out boarding passes when we left. We had some small electrical and plumbing issues which were handled instantly and successfully. (I suspect our room had not been used in a while.) The neighborhood was quiet and residential, but there were 2 metro stops and restaurants nearby, and Plaza Catelunia was a 20 minute walk. This was a great deal!

Hotel Ayre is not quite a four-star property. The shower tiles either needed a good scrubbing or regrouting. The location is good for visitors who prefer to be away from the busy tourist areas but still within walking distance to many sites and with easy access to public transportation. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ayre Caspe. It's about a 20-30 min walk to all the main places in Barcelona with things to see along the way. The rooms were nice and clean and they provide you with 4 bottles of water complimentary. As well you have a mini fridge for drinks. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and would return to this hotel the next time we're in Barcelona. Cheers!

We had a fabulous time at the Ayre Caspe! It was very close to the Arc de Triomf metro and train station (very useful) and walking distance to Gran Via/Passeig de Gracia/La Rambla. Not much to do in the immediate area at night though. Staff were fabulous, gave us a large room with a good view, and were accommodating to all of our requests. Couldn't have picked a better hotel to kick off our honeymoon!

We've stayed over there for 3 days and really enjoyed our stay. One of the advantages is the location of the hotel. You can walk to the Sagrada Familia or to the Barri Gotic within 20 min. Quiet place, great design, we would definetely choose this hotel for a second stay in Barcelona.

Only a 15 min walk from Placa de Cataluya which is about €4.00 in a taxi. Would definitely return and reccommend. Staff at reception have excellent english and are very helpful.

We're on vacation in Barcelona for 5 days. The best thing I like about the hotel was its cleanliness. The design of the door to the shower was silly though. It was not wide enough (there was a 2-3 inch gap)so water splash out when you shower. The hotel also provides free 2 bottles of mineral water per person daily. Most of the staff spoke good English. I was a little surprised with its location (vs the web advice) in that it is not that near the Familia. It's about a 15 min walk. However, it's a 5 min taxi ride to most locations around the city (about 5-7 euros). Now that I'm familar with Barcelona, I may not stay here again. Most likely, I'll stay in the Barric Gothic area which is closer to more tourist sites and restaurants. Just also note that photos (even taken by other travellers/us) always look better than the actual thing/site. Must be the lighting.

Everything was ok at the hotel which is a (very) good hotel****. We are really easy-going tourists... but, the only time we asked for information to the hotel staff (no water running on a Sunday morning), we did not receive a satisfactory answer (they did not know what the problem was or offer an alternative solution: bottle water, ...). However, water was back in the pipes 1 or 2 hours later.

If I ever return to Barcelona this is where I will stay! The entire staff from the front desk to the chamber maids were superb! They treated my three year old daughter like a princess. She received so much candy I had to beg them to stop! Every suggestion and advice the staff gave was accurate and appreciated. The food at the restaurant and breakfast was very good. The rooms and common areas were always spotless. Two metro line stops were very close so the whole city was very accessible from the hotel. I would fully recommend this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located, close to 2 subway stations (arc de triomf and tetuen) and 15 minute walks to Plaza Cataluena and Sagrada Familia. Renfe train at Arc de Triomf station takes you right to Sant RENFE station for AVE trains to Madrid. Several supermarkets, bakery and restaurants are close by. The rooms are modest size, furnished in a modern style. The bathroom is generous in size, with a separate shower from the tub. I had an interior room and it is very quiet. all in all, good value for 100 euro a night.

Quattro stelle assolutamente immeritate. Personale scortese.

The staff were excellent - very helpful, and very accomodating of my limited ability to speak Spanish. Two employees deserve special commendation: Bartender fredy Silva, and a second bartender, Juan Carlos. Those two employees are a credit to the Hotel - especially Mr. Silva - They made our visit to Barcelona unforgettable. Don't miss the Familia Sagrada church, the Rambla, and the old quarter with it's funny architecture...all of which are quite close to the Ayre Caspe Hotel.

2 negative comments; otherwise very satisfied as you can see from my ratings: 1.Waitress in breakfast room would not serve us eggs, even though a sign on the table said eggs, in many diff. forms, were included in the breakfast. (I know breakfast was an extra, 15 Euro.) 2. Room maid removed all my newspapers and magazines, lying on the table, not in the waste basket.

Located in a quiet area but accessible to food and drink at local prices. Hotel is actually only a twenty minute stroll from main tourist attractions. Close enough, but far enough. Clean, modern rooms and public areas. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel bar provides coffee and pastries (2.35 euros) as an alternative to the buffet breakfast. Have already recommended this hotel to others and would use again.

The hotel staff was excellent. Our luggage was lost by the airline and they were very helpful in getting it back to us. We don't know if the area was good or not, but my husband was pickpocketed about a block from the hotel the first day we were there. It spoiled the rest of the time we were in the city. We ate every night in the attached bar and restaurant. It was very pleasant and we enjoyed the young man who waited on us.

I would appreciate the hotel taking on a more environmentally friendly approach to its housekeeping. The towels were changed daily, regardless if they were left hanging on the rack. They should be changed only if left on the floor, like other hotels. Also, for some reason, housekeeping would throw out my slightly used bar of soap on the sink. Everyday they would replace it with a brand new, wrapped soap. That is completely unnecessary. Lastly, while the free water bottles were greatly appreciated, I would appreciate a recycling bin in the room to toss the empty bottles. I did like that hotel offers the use of umbrellas, as it rained during our stay. I can't comment on the gym or sauna amenities, since the sauna was not in service during our stay. I do like that they offer them without an additional fee. The room service offered generously sized and delicious sandwiches. They also delivered very quickly!

We've been there for ten days. We were very satisfied with over stay at Hotel Caspe. Our first impression was that the hotel seemed a bit cold (sterile and hospital like). However the rooms were great and we appreciated the spaciousness and the quitness of the rooms. A nice place to return to after enjoying the more hectic and more central Barcelona (such as Barri Gotic). The hotel is a bit off Barri Gotic (but very close to La Sagrada Familia though). I think it was about 20 minutes walking. That might be somewhat long on a warm day (we were there in July..). However taxies are very cheap in Spain compared to Norway... There are of course busses and metro close by, but we did'nt use it. We can recommend this hotel and would defintively go there again.

This hotel was perfect for us. It is very close to the Arc du Triomph (sp?) and the metro stop there. It was clean and the people were VERY friendly. One person even walked out of the hotel with us to try to find a place to buy a phone card. They spoke good english and just tried very hard to help us feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a good location (near the City centre and near the Estacio du Nord, very handy if you need to travel to Girona airport). The hotel itself is extremely modern and very "cold"; the room had a window but you could't open it and so it was a bit claustrophobic!! No breakfast included and the 14 euro breakfast that they serve it is absolutely disgusting. I will not go back!

We liked the spaciousness and cleanliness of the Ayre Hotel Caspe. There was a firm bed and plenty of room to move around, store luggage/clothes and a long desk with two chairs. The room was nearly sterile it was so clean. The only problem is that you can't open the windows - they are sealed shut to the wall. This makes it quiet, but I like some outdoor air. The hotel itself is not warm and cozy, but spacious and impersonal. The bar is attached, with similar decor. My quibbles with them are 1) They should not close the bar so early (11PM). Restaurants don't open for dinner until 9:30PM, so we were usually back after midnight. A nightcap would have been nice. 2) We like lots of coffee in the morning. But no matter which Spanish or English terms we used, they never brought enough coffee. As for location, it was a 10-20 minute walk to anything of consequence, but was central in that it was equidistant from the Gaudi sights in L'Eixample; the port and gothic areas; and La Rambla. So although it seems out of the way, you're never walking more than 20 minutes to anything. We also liked using the Arc de Triomf (5 min walk) as a landmark, and could always find the hotel from there. Best of all, the Ayre Caspe was luckily just 2 blocks from the only bus stop in Barcelona that has busses to the F1 race in Montmelo. Bonus!!

We spent 2 nights in the Hotel Ayre Caspe in April and found it to be very good value for money and were very pleased with our choice. It is in a quiet area, only 15 mins walk from Sagrada Familia and within easy walking distance to the centre. There was a metro stop close by but we didn't use it - we walked everywhere. We didn't eat at the hotel but found a great lively little patisserie/cafe for breakfast just round the corner on C. del Consell de Cent. The room was spacious and very clean - the bed was huge and v. comfortable. The free water in the mini bar was a nice touch, although that was all there was - no other drinks or nibbles available. It didn't bother us but I thought it was worth mentioning. Do your restaurant research before you go because we chose badly and didn't have very good food while we were there (apart from breakfast!) Don't miss the Boqueria market just off La Rambla - it's a feast for the eyes. Other places not to miss are Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo, Palau de la Musica (need to book in advance), La Pedrera, Parc de la Ciutadella (good for a picnic).

Our stay was for Silver Wedding Anniversary. Our two daughters and one's partner came too. We all thought it was a lovely hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The location was a little further out than I thought but not too bad.

We enjoyed our stay at Ayre Hotel Caspe. The desk staff spoke excellent English and were helpful and accommodating. The room was extremely clean, quiet and comfortable with a large modern bathroom. The only drawback is that the hotel is in a residential area a bit away from the city center. There is a metro stop nearby and the Barcelona metro is easy to use. Still, I think next time I would prefer to stay closer to the Gothic Quarter.

A very clean modern hotel, room was very well laid out, free water in minibar replenished daily. We chose to eat out for breakfast as there were lots of small cafes and bars within easy reach, we used "Bica Bica" in c/Caspe a couple of times for cheap evening snacks and found the food and service good. We took the Barcelona Tourist bus on the first day and did their Blue, Red and Green routes, this gave us a good overview of the possibilities. We loved the waterfront and on the last of our 4 days had an excellent leisurely lunch with wine overlooking the yachts for less than 70 euros for the two of us at Restaurant Emperador on the ground floor of Palau de Mar. We are going back ........

Very nice hotel - Clean, quiet and with spacious rooms. Location is excellent especially if travelling from Girona airport. The bus from Girona stops at the Northern station in Barcelona which is about 2 minutes from this hotel (max). Also it is an easy walk from the hotel right into the centre of Barcelona - walk out of the hotel, turn right and walk for 10 to 15 mins and you hit Placa de Catalunya. Would definitely stay here again especially if travelling from Girona airport.

The hotel is a beautiful, new and modern structure. Its Management should focus more on keeping the rooms very tidy from one guest to another. They should be cleaned thoroughly each time and not just more or less superficilally. Cleanliness 'behind the corners'is a must should they want to keep their hotel the pleasant place we experienced. No further remarks. We highly recommend it still.

Hotel was excellent value for money at just over £70 per night. Very smart public areas with impressive ceiling scuplture. Located midway between Sagrada Familia & Barric Gotic / Las Ramblas areas, each approx 10 - 15 minute walk. Arc de Triomf metro 5 mins walk. Rooms not huge but not too bad. Modern, well appointed bathroom with two showers - one over bath. Only complaint was a slight musty smell in room but not a major problem. All in all an excellent value mid-range design hotel in a decent location.

The hotel is nice and clean, however I can't say that the quitness of the rooms depends on the thickness of the wall instead it was due the respectful people staying on our floor. As for the location, you can use the metro arc de triompf but exit to napoles. Then cross the street and walk directly and cross 2 more traffic lights, after the second one, you will see the hotel on the right side. If you walk to the gran via street from the hotel, you can easily access to passeig de gracia. from there you can easily walk to place catalunya or la rambla(where you can eat decent pizza). As for the shopping, most of the stores are located near to passeig de gracia. So the location of the hotel is very promising for day and night. Hope you'll enjoy your stay as much as me and my friends did.

I asked a non smoking room instead it wasn't. the room was small and we could hear the housekeepers cleaning other rooms early in the morning. Breakfast was good and the underground very close. It was a pleasant stay.

This was the first time we had stayed at the Hotel Ayre, it was exactly as it was on the internet, clean and very modern looking. We did not use many of the facilities availabe but they all looked as discribed on the internet. Although it is a walk away from the Placa de Catalunya it never took us more then 15 minutes, and it was a good excuse to stop in at the local bars and have a drink! Very well placed for Gaudi's Church and Park which were both within walking distance. Highly recommended for couples who like to stroll and enjoy meeting the locals.
