Hotel Apsis Porta Marina - Barcelona

Close to metro, 3 stops to Catalunya Square, nearby market, sidewalk restaurant, staff speaks excellent English and is extremely and cheerfully helpful. Tour services, taxi services, are all handled by the hotel.

I have booked first a dbl room and requested a extra bed but they offered a triple, motivating that there is no space in the room for extra beds(even if in the description was specified that it is). The triple was actually a family room, with kitchen and 2 separate rooms, very nice, clean, but a little bit pricey. The hotel is very close to all the attractions, 2-3 bus, tram or metro station away from: Beach, Sagrada, Port,Zoo, La Rambla etc. We sometimes walked home from the Beach, 10-15 minutes walk. There are a lot of restaurants in the area, we especially liked the cafe and croissants from just the corner. If you go to Barcelona do not walk near The "Cerveceria Catalana" grate place to eat! And if you have time go to Portaventura(one hour by train or bus).

Great apartment for a family with a secure parking garage. The staff were friendly and helpful. It had a full kitchen but there wasn't any cooking utensils or cutlery so we weren't able to use it. The hotel breakfast was average. Overall a clean, new and large apartment that was quiet.

The room was great size and very modern with full kitchen. Close to metro although no resaurants/bars in the area. Staff were friendly but no service. The kitchen had no cups, jug, tea or coffee, pots, utensils, cloth, tea towel etc - the cupboards were completely bare. Absolutely no point having a kitchen without any utensils or equipment to use in it. The air conditioning was broken so our room was excessively hot. No shampoo or conditioner. No room information, nothing about any Barcelona sights/attractions. The phone didnt work properly, when it did no one answered the phones in reception. Reception couldn't get any taxi that would take 6 of us with luggage to the airport. The cleaning of the room was not good - hair in the room on arrival,didnt wash our toothbrush cups (which we needed to use as glasses because there was nothing else provided) and there was soap all through the bath. On first look this 4* hotel was lovely, but when you live in it it was not worth 125 EURO per night.

I confirm all of the positive reviews about this hotel which I'd gladly recommend. The surroundings aren't interesting but you have the Metro (Marina station) at 5 min. walk, and the Port Olimpic / Barceloneta can be reached with an average walk, if you like. Personnel is very kind and competent. Garage facility: when you arrive by car it's a bit of problematic because you first need to park in the nearbys (not easy to find a park there..) and they give you access *after* the check in (they need to register car details), but then it's 16€ per night which is a good price, in my opinion. Our room (a triple) also featured a small kitchen should you want to stay on budget with food.. :)

We were very pleased and surprised at the spacious room for a family. It was a suite, which was incredible for the price we paid. Very well appointed and clean. The staff was very helpful.

I have been in Barcelona before but it was my first time at the Apsis Porta Marina Hotel. Excellent price/quality ratio. Quiet, clean and well equipped rooms. Metro station (Marina on the Red line, three stops from Catalunya square) made it a very convenient location especially if you go to Barcellona for tourism. The surrounding are not interesting (thee is a Funeral home and many graves shops ) but by a 20 min walking it is posible to reach the Sagrada Familia OR the Olimpic area by the sea (very attractive place for young people). I would recommend it to families and to young people as well.

Hotel is new and matches exactly what it promisses. The only problem, and that was what made my family unhappy, was the surrounding area which is kind of dark, away from city excitment, and worst of all, next to funeral area, so it does not give a good mood for family in vacation time.

Rooms are very very spacious and confortable, with big windows and a little kitchen. The bathroom is also very big and cleaned. The position is perfect for visit the city, few minutes walking from the subway stop of Marina (two stop from Catalunya) and not far from the olympic port where are located all the night clubs and discos. I think the perfect solution!!

This modern hotel has huge family rooms that will comfortably sleep four people as well as having a small kitchen area. It was noisy starting at 8am outside our window and the hotel is across from a pretty ugly closed in lot- but the price and spaciousness makes up for the lack of view. also for meals especially breakfast you are better off heading up the street to one of the cafeteria/cafe bars as they have much better food at much cheaper prices and are only two blocks away.

1/ Breakfast is not worth the price at all. Service is slow due, need for more staff. 2/ Excellent location, 3 stops away from city life. Neighbours are very quiet --> when you're lost, ask for the mortuary, everyone knows where it is, just 1 block from the hotel.

I and my family stayed at Hotel Apsis Porta Marina the first time. The taxidrivers, usually, don't know this hotel.

Je recommande l'hôtel pour son restaurant. Le diner de notre premier soir était excellent. Un petit bémol : Le petit déjeuner est cher et pas digne d'un 4*.

Modern hotel, comfortable, located in a district really not very attractive. The personnel is attentive and accessible. One regrets on this level of standing the poverty of the knowledge of languages of certain members of staff.

Albergo nuovo, molto bello, camera e bagno enorme, metropolitana vicina e quindi facilmente raggiungibile

El servicio recibido fue muy bueno,no tuvimos ningun contratiempo ,habitacion bastante amplia,muy buen trato del personal,solo un poco lejos de los puntos turisticos y hay pocos restaurantes alrededor, pero la terminal del metro estaba a unos 300 metros del hotel, o sea a 5 minutos caminando.yo lo recomiendo y volveria a hospedarme en este hotel

Siamo stati molto soddisfatti dalla sistemazione; abbastanza centrale ( 15 m a piedi per la Sagrada Famiglia.Addetti alla reception molto cortesi. Ci ritornerei sicuramente.

Nice, brand new hotel with spacious rooms and good decoration/services. The only down point is that the neighbourhood is rather industrial, even if centraly located. Walking to the closest touristic point is some 15 minutes.

Im very, very, very satisfied. Hotel isnt in the middle of downtown confusion. Its established in very quiet and relaxing area. But pretty close to to metro station. As I was driving a rental car, It wasnt necessary to pay for parkings (usually very expensive in europe), because there were free parking besides Hotel.

Excellent value and lovely new clean and spacious rooms with pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful staff, not phased by us checking in at 11.30pm and even arranged us somewhere to eat close by at that hour. We stayed two nights and, apart from getting lost trying to find the hotel from the metro after dark, it was very convenient and pleasant.

The hotel is brand new, the family room we booked was actually a little flat with en-suite bedroom and bathroom with a small kitchenette and a sofa bed in the living-room. Very modern and convenient for a family with free baby beds available on demand. Close to the city center by metro (5mn) and by car. We'll go back there again.

Great new hotel!! I rated the surroundings as a 10 even though there is a lot of construction going on (but no sound entered our room). We stayed for 4 days and the hotel staff was able to recommend restaurants and generally help us with directions for everything we asked about. It's a bit outside the "center" but it was quiet at night. We will stay there again the next time we go.

The hotel is a very clean and modern hotel. The people at the front desk were very helpful. It is located a few minutes from a metro stop and about a 10 minute walk from the Bus Station North.
