The quality is quite good exception for the loudness; Was very difficult to relax in the afternoon 'cause of the neighbors (the hotel is at the 1st floor only of the building; the neighbors are resident). we had a child playing acoustic drums upstairs our room every afternoon. In addition, the walls of the room are very thin, you can hear everything that neighbors do, what they say; when they walk

it was our first stay at hotel aneto and we are glad that we booked this hotel. it´s quite cheap, the location is perfect and it´s clean. we didn´t search for more. the only negative was the size of the room - it was really tiny. my friends room was also very small. and it was very loud. the insulation of the walls was not very good. but, in conclusion, we can say that was the perfect hotel for our barcelona-trip and we would book it again!

In the plus column, this hotel is very close to Las Ramblas and to the metro, so you're always central to many points of interest while you stay there. It also offers free wi-fi, and I can't much complain about its cleanliness. It is a 1-star hotel, so room amenities are non-existent beyond a TV and a noisy A/C unit. Noise was a real problem - in a narrow-street-facing room, I could not sleep with balcony doors open (and even when closed, they hardly muffled car sounds from below). But most importantly, everything happening in the hallway, as well as in adjacent rooms sounded as if it was happening directly in my room. While the immediate surrounding area felt safe in general, I did have not one but two encounters with thieves posing as lost tourists who attempted to pick my wallet within 100 meters of the hotel door. Nothing of the kind happened to me on any other far-from-deserted street in Barcelona, so this could be just an unfortunate coincidence, but these are the borders of El Raval district, which has a mixed reputation.

a very clean hotel, excellent location, walking distance to many sites, very close to the famous rambla, elevator, which is very important for the cases as the hotel is situated on the second floor only BUT if you expect a proper brekfast, you will be disappointed : it is made of industrial biscuits wrapped in plastic plus drinks from a coffee machine on the whole part from that, it is a place I would avise to friends wanting to stay in the town(walking distance from the railway station, about 20mn)

Room was basically clean, but extremely noisy. The low price invites young partying kids. It felt more like a dorm than a hotel. Music playing all night, construction in the morning, and even someone knocking on my door complaining about me making a phone call. In other words, there is NO noise proofing. I would never stay here again. There are better places near the Ramblas if you want location.

It's a really nice place, sometimes noisy for other guests hanging around in front of other rooms or for the neighborhood.. But I think it's worth it, the prices are good and it's really near to the city center (Ramblas) and many metro stations!I think it's very good for a short stay in the city.. The staff's really kind though! Just pay attention to the stairs :D (they're really slippy)

We stayed twice at the hotel Aneto for a total period of six days. It is one minute walk from the Ramblas, close to the underground, in a safe neighborhood, with lots of restaurants and tapas bars close by. Each time we had a room overlooking the street with a balcony. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and we had no trouble with noisy neighbors. The staff were helpful and courteous. We would highly recommend this hotel to the budget conscious traveller.

Directions to hotel were mediocre. Just go south from the Placa de Catalunya on la Rambla about 3 blocks and turn right on Carmen. about 3 blocks west of la Rambla. Location was great. Easy walk to Placa de Catalyuna and metro. Reception area not as nice as pictures so was concerned when we arrived but the room was clean and quiet. Nice continental breakfast. Not fancy but we were just sleeping there anyway. Phone in the room which another hotel in Barcelona that cost us 25 euro more did not have. Reception guys both spoke some english. YEAH.

Enjoyed our stay in Aneto. Its so close to everything. Found it easier to take airport bus to Plaza Cataluna and walk from there. We were suprised how quiet it was. The window was doubleglazed so when we closed it didnt hear any street noise. Had individial air con or we could open window which made it easy to have a comfortalbe temp. They are doing up facade at the moment, so the first impression isnt so good but dont be put off. The room was clean and the bathroom very nice. Defnitely reccomend. Also there is a launry just down the st which washed, dried and ironed our clothes in one day quite cheaply. Clean clothes bliss!

Hotel Aneto is noisy as hell! Between the construction going on literally right at our window, and the noxious fumes from the iron workers, pouring into the bathroom! When someone runs water or talks, you can hear it from the paper thin walls. re LOCATION: Right near Ramblas for maximum excitement, in fact the annual Merce parade wended its way down our little street. Very exciting. You can walk to a lot of attractions not to mention shopping!

It is important to remember that this is a BUDGET hotel. I liked it for the location, close to the Boqueria Market and the bohemian arts quarter. The hotel itself was clean, but basic. My room (which looked onto an air shaft), was adequate and the bathroom always spotless. My only reservation is that the breakfast is no more than a vending machine and a tray of pre-packaged buns left out in the hallway. Still, it was enough to get me up and running each day, and for the price I paid, I did not really expect much more. For students or young couples traveling on a budget, I would recommend Aneto and I would stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel and although the location was pretty ideal, a short walk to La Rambla, I had a devastating stay at this hotel. Upon my stay I was sexually assaulted by the hotel's very own staff. The man working the front desk pushed his way into our room and forced himself on me. My screaming brought no other attention and upon emailing the hotel about this incident, they did nothing. The response I got was essentially that they are sorry that happened to me but that there is absolutely nothing they could do. They eventually stopped emailing me back all together. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone of my friends or family members. On a side note, the rooms are a little pricey for what you get. Overall I regret my stay with this hotel and will never return or recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was great! The only problem was the reconstruction of the facade, so we couldn't open the windows, and some days it was very noisy...anyway we had A/C and the rooms were always so clean... the breakfast is tiny but it is just fine for the price you pay for the hotel. I would most certainly recommend it to everyone

Rather a box than a room. Only a window in a really small backyard with an awfull smell, so that you couldn´t open the window. Therefore it was very hot inside. There was a coffee-machine outside the room, so it was rather loud in the morning. No real breakfast (only some packed things) and no place to eat it.

We were staying in this hotel with the baby. The hotel does not provide baby-cots, but we were aware of that; the most important for us was that we could stay there with the baby. This is an EXCELLENT hotel if you want to save money and stay in the VERY heart of Barcelona, as la Rambla is just here. We would recommend this hotel to everyone, as if your primary target is to see the city, and not spend time in the hotel, then this is an IDEAL place for you. Budget, clean and central. Reccomended. This was an excellent choice for our stay in Barcelona. It is located on a quiet street a short walk to la Rambla and the closest Metro stop. It's a short walk to the old cathedral, Roman ruins, and the historic old sections of Barcelona, as well as to modern shops and boutiques. It's a block from the colorful open air St. Josep market also known as the la Boqueria where we bought meats, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, and breads for our lunches and took many pictures of the colorful displays of meats, fish, fruits, and vegetables. A Dia food store, and a bakery provided yogurt, butter, juice, and croissants for our breakfasts. The Tapas restaurants on la Rambla provided many options for dinner. The only negative, which we heard mentioned about rooms in several Barcelona hotels, of varying price ranges, was that the sound proofing was a bit lacking. Occasionally, during the early evening, we could hear loud talking among other guests, but, thankfully, it never seemed to bother us during the night. We'd book this hotel again if we return to Barcelona in the future.

We stayed in double twin room. It was small, but very clean. The location is more then perfect: Las Ramblas, Metro, restaurants, shops, City Centre. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. I would say it's exellent budget hotel. Just only one bad thing is that rooms are extremely noisy and I absolutely agree with previous reviews, that the door are useless. But we were out all day, so we came back so tired, so we slept anyways, no matter how noisy it was.

Hotel Aneto is a very functional budget hotel. I was nervous booking a budget hotel, this was our first time doing budget. It was an excellent budget hotel. I know our room was small, but it was spotless. Our room was probably the smallest, but it was grand. We only slept there, as we were out all day.
