Hotel Actual - Barcelona

Great location, metro is just across the street. Easy access to many sites. Hotel is very quiet and clean, rooms are spacious and new.

Very modern room that sometimes wasn't built logically. Shower was roomy but had no door, which is fine but it was poorly designed so water would run into bathroom floor if you didn't stop it by a towel, and no place for soap/shampoo. Glass partition between bathroom and toilet for no reason and poorly-placed door between bedroom and hall to bathroom that was always in the way. Bed, ceiling, TV, storage all fine.

We stayed at Hotel Actual for 2 nights on a weekend. While the venere.com gave a lot of information on the hotel and it was very close to what we found, the hotel site itself did not give us mch information. In fact at tmes its difficult to open the page in English. The hotel's best selling point is its location . It is convinienlty located at 100 mtrs distance from the metro station (Diagonal) on Line 3 and Line 5. As you come out of the hotel you step into Passeig De Gracia, a trendy shopping avenue and full of cages and restaurents. the Gaudi landmark Le Pederera is loacated at a stone's throw from the hotel. The tourist hop on hop off bus also has a stop at Le Pederera. Hence it was and is an exchange point between the red and blue line buses. We found this very convinient and at one point when we got wet in the rains , we just got down frm the bus and walked across to the hotel to change our clothes ! We found it very easy to walk to Catalunya and Ramblas from the hotel. The hotel is modernist in style and rooms are spacious compared to the European standards. The bathroom shower is especially powerful. But the hotle maintenance leaves more to be deiserd. On our first evening in the hotel, the electricity tripped twice and the person at the reception , instead of being apologetic, seemed annoyed that we complained about it !!! The shelves in the wardrobe were losely fixed and kept falling off. The hotel could not provide us with umbrellas when it started to rain and could even guide us where to buy it from ! We did not have any meals in the hotel as there are better and cheaper options available outside. We could hop into one of the many cafes near the hotel which opened early in the day for breakfast. Overall the hotel is recommended for young couples who would like to stay near Passeige de Gracas and yet be close to the Ramblas and the Gothic Quarters. Hotel price is comparatively high (more than 100 euros) perhaps because of the location but good e

The standard room was quite small and only had a small window. The room was dark and I would recommend you upgrade to a larger room if you stay here.

Modernist small hotel-30 paces door to metro entrance - la pedrera one minute away- clean smart, so fantastic location -lowest tariff rooms e.g.010, 011, 110, 111etc would be small for two as I had so hence low rating - didn't breakfast here -good choice, perhaps dear - few local restaurants but with buses and metro so close not a problem to get to any part of this fantastic town -great place for dedicated tourist!

Great hotel, very comfortable stay in an area with plenty of very nice shops. Seemed like all the rooms were modern, with nice upgrades. 10 steps from the metro station - makes it easy to get around the entire city. Air conditioning was great, plenty of TV optins too. Perfect place to relax after touring Barcelona for the day.

Great hotel and great location. Staff could be a bit more welcoming, but then again great customer service is rare in Spain.

Great location! Its about 15 feet off of Paseo de Gracia which is where you want to be in Barcelona and very close to 2 metro stations. I didnt interact much with staff but they were friendly and helpful with directions, etc. Didnt try breakfast. The room was very, very clean, big shower and wifi. My room faced the back of the hotel so I didnt have any trouble with noise. Overall good stay, would recommend it mostly because of its location and cleanliness.

Very well situated and stylish hotell. Prices offered were excellent and we were very happy with the stay.
