Need a restaurant ithin the hotel, breakfast was extremely overprices for the quality and options. That is a nice included breakfast with the stay, not 15 euro per person. The walls are very thin, many nights of loud crying babies throughout the stay, made for some annoying nights sleep.

The hotel itself is very nice and clean. But the room we've been offered is extremely small!!! I think this room was designed for single use but they sell it as double. The bed was very small and uncomfortable. No space in the room at all! One suitcase is enough to fill the room. When I asked to change the room I've been told that I have to pay extra. Although I booked a double they gave us a single one. The supplies in the bathroom were also for one person, even though they knew we are two. Bathroom stuff i.e. shampoo, shower gel, shower cup were not added during our stay (3 days) although they've seen that the shampoo or gel is over.

A good hotel with a rich breakfast, but very strange noises especially during the night coming from somewhere inside the hotel (toilette/bath on the next floor, elevator?). Traffic noise was ok and not disturbing, stuff was mainly friendly, but all very helpful.

There are a lot of other hotels that offer much better stay for the same price. The location is not the best. Even if there is a metro station right around the corner and it is pretty close to the center of the city (ramblas and stuff), the hotel is located in a zone where you may feel insecure the whole time outside of the hotel. I even saw a very suspicious guy trying to steal the watch of a tourist at the very front of the hotel!! That is of course not at all the hotel's fault, but taking this into account, prices are quite high. The staff of the hotel is very friendly, however, we asked for a queen or king size bed and they gave us two separate, pretty uncomfortable beds. I would not say the hotel was completely clean, and there is humidity smell in most parts of it. In any case, this should be a hotel for people traveling on a budget. If you wish for a comfortable place with nice surroundings and a feeling of security, try something else.

The hotel is based in a good area because you are close to where you really want to be. Its quite entertaining walking from the hotel, because theres so much to see, from the sex street where all the girls wait for a man!!, to gym window which is used for many many things (as we saw) and the shops which cell phone after phone!. The hotel did meet my expectations, with free internet, a radio while you surf and a coffee for free too. The sauna etc.. can be used once for free, but in Barcelona theres no time to be using that kind of facility it looked nice though. The room was small but everything we needed. There is no air con at all, so what ever you do dont even put it on cause it blows hot air (great in the cold weather)!!! The bath is tiny!!! theres no need for it, but the shower is good enough and all you need. If you tend to sleep with the window open then your are up for a loud night, with sirens and girls shouting at 4.00am, I would of chose to sleep with the window closed but it was just so warm!! But its holiday and at 4.00am i woke up next to my boy frind so all is good!! I would probs choose another hotel in i retuned to barcelona, but overall nice hotel!

We stayed for a weekend, the room was at the back of the hotel so it was quite.I was under the impression when I booked the room it was a double bed but it was a twin room :( . The hotel is a 15/20 minute walk from Las Ramblas, We would of prefered to be closer to the action pubs/shops etc. The Hotel is on one of the main roads so Taxi's know where you are going. The hotel bar didn't open in the evening so if your out shopping all day and come back looking for a chill out drink you'll have to go else where. I think the map provided when you recieve you confirmation needs to be more detailed. Over all we were happen with the hotel. CM.

Joli hôtel et personnel courtois et efficace. Le personnel à la réception fait un gros effort pour s'adresser à nous en français ou en englais. Déjeuner très dispendieux. Rue très bruyante. The staff at Hotel Apsis Millenni is very discreet. They will not bother you if you don't ask them anything. They are very helpfull when you ask for information. In Front of the hotel there's a little "Granja" where in the morning you can have breakfast. It is not expensive and the locals tend to have their breakfast there as well. We had a room with a view on the Ronda Sant Pau. The consequence was that we always heard the traffic on the background. Maybe if we had a room on the back this would be no problem... The Hotel is very close to the metrostation Paralel which is very convenient for getting around in Barcelona.

Our stay in Barcelona was flawed from the get go. All of our luggage was lost at the airport, flying from Rome to Barcelona. The hotel staff was unreliable and unwilling to remain on hold in discussion with the airport. We went back to the airport to no avail on our own time (2nd day in Spain) to try and get more information about our luggage. In addition, I reserved a room online through Venere and the room that we stayed in was unlike the one represented on the page. I was under the impression we were staying in a room more spacious than the one we were assigned. I inquired with the hotel staff and I was met with a stern face and an unrelenting attitude. Much to our displeasure, our stay at Apsis was not up to par for a four star hotel. I cannot stand paying for a service that is not what I had requested. .. especially if it does not come close to what we had anticipated and paid for.

Clean quiet, fairly central hotel with helpful staff but rather rough neighborhood at night. Area smelt of stale wastewater, even indoors in cellar /business centre. The price/quality ratio of the hotel was very good. Excellent location near to Metro stop and walking distance to Las Ramblas and Barri Gothic. Sauna/jacuzzi was nice, although the free entrance included in the room price was not offered to us at the reception. Our room facing the street was quite noisy. The hotel and rooms were clean and nice. We did not have breakfast at the hotel since it was not included in the price and 15 e sounded a bit pricey for a breakfast. I travelled with my sister, we booked for a double room and afterwards I made a phone call requesting two separate beds, which were offered but when we arrived it was a double bed after all. It did not matter for us and we did not ask to change the room but there seemed to be an information gap somewhere.

The hotel receptionists were very welcoming and competent. Our single rooms were replaced with double ones on the same price. The hotel is located in a perfect walking distance from the harbor and Las Ramblas. The only remark I have is about the cleaning lady who kept using the vacuum cleaner all wee hours of the night (5-6am). But Barcelona is such a fascinating city tourists barely go to bed :)) I will definitely stay again there when I have the chance.

Very nice and modern Hotel located just 5-7 minutes walk from Las Ramblas. Some may say the walk from the hotel to Las Ramblas is a little sketchy, and I would agree somewhat. During the day the street can be empty and have a few shady characters strolling about. However once its close to night the street fills and the area becomes more safe and comfortable as Cops often stroll around. Do not let this deter you from staying at this hotel. Great location unbothered by the noise of Las Ramblas as well as amazing facilities. Perfect for those who don't need to be up all night but still want to go out and party and be close to the action.

Hotels close to La Ramblas were difficult to find at short notice. Location was pretty good. Not really central but convenient enough - about 15 mins walk to Catalunya Sq and 10 mins to La Ramblas. Hotel was nice and quite new, but the single rooms were sooo tiny. Hotel was going charge 170EUR instead of 90EUR per night that was quoted but that got sorted out. Front counter staff were friendly and helpful. Not much in way of cafes/tapas etc nearby but only 10mins to Ramblas. Definitely recommend Barcelona - fantastic city.

We had a great 3-day stay at Apsis Millenni, and then returned again for a night at the end of our "Tour de Catalanya" for our last night in Barcelona. The hotel is nicely decorated, the staff is friendly and the service was good. We didn't relly regret the fact that there is no restaurant, as there are so many good restaurants in around the city. The hotel is located a bit off the touristic centre (La Rambla), but it is only a 10 minute walk to the marina and sea front, which in our opinion is the nicest part of Barcelona. I would recommend Millenni for a romantic mini-break in Barcelona!

Fantastic from the moment we entered the hotel entrance. Lovely clean spacious rooms with mini-bar and good sized tv. Lovely bathroom with an amazing shower. The staff were top class. I have stayed in many european cities in many hotels booked through venere.com and this must rate as probably the best yet. I could not fault it at all. Huge comfortable beds, lovely pillows, slept like a log. We didn't go for breakfast so I can't comment on that (seemed quite expensive at 12 euro each). We didn't use many of the facilities as we only had a 2 night stay but other guests praised them. The hotel staff booked our trips and taxi's for us and provided maps and information. Location was great - we did wonder if it was a little far out but it's only 10 minutes walk to La Ramblas. The Metro is just around the corner to the hotel, about 2 minutes walk. We had excellent value for money booking this room. It's definitely a quality hotel. I will rebook with this hotel next time I visit Barcelona .

Our overall stay was excellent! After reading the comments at venere, we were not surprised to know that the hotel was not located in a very nice area. We had a very pleasant stay at Apsis millenni, we were there for about 6 days and all the staff were very friendly and helpful with everything we asked of them, eg excursions, room service, telephone number, taxis and an iron. I liked the fact that it was about a 10-15 minute walk from La Rambla. The only comment I would make is that the bar closes at 9pm and some nights we would have liked to just stay in the hotel but there is a bar across the street which stayed open until about 1.30am and the mini bar in our room was not very expensive. I also made them aware before I went that it was my boyfriends 30th birthday and there was a bottle of champagne in our room the night we arrived. Very nice - would definately recommend this hotel.

for the internet price good yet, the hotel is not in a good area, to the Ramblas you have to walk through a very poor area, the garage is very bad to park and get out, with € 20 per night overpriced. One time I had difficulty to get an employee come and open the garage for me - since the location was outside of the hotel and the employee did not want to leave the establishment since she was the only one at the reception - at 8 o´clock at night

This hotel is well located for tourism with easy access to the Metro and to the port area. We arrived too early to check in and I suffered an incident of theft while touring the city. This incident could have been avoided or alleviated if I had a copy of the hotel's advice sheet on security. The message "Read-and-heed the advice sheet". The staff were exceptionally helpful in resolving the resulting problems. The hotel has somewhat limited food and bar facilities, but there is plenty of choice locally. Breakfast was fine. Despite the incident, our stay was pleasant and enjoyable and I would certainly stay at the Apsis Millenni again. Geoff - a seasoned traveller!

Having stayed at the MILLENI previously, we knew what we were expecting. The room this time around was a lot more spacious than the last time. Our only gripe was that breakfast was not included (although it didn't state that breakfast was included on the website). The last time we stayed here breakfast was included. However, this was not a real problem as we found a lovely coffee shop at the end of the street, which did the full works at very reasonable prices.

I booked for this hotel fearing the worst possible result, nice picture, awful reality. But i need not have bothered. From the moment i rang to confirm my request for two cots to the moment our taxi arrived to return us to the airport,it was a superior hotel experience. The size of the hotel belies its style and elegance, and although we were warned about the safety of the surrounding area, we found people and facilities nearby to be friendly and plentiful and the central location made exploring the city an easy and rewarding experience. On a more specific note the way we were welcomed by the staff, two twenty month old twins et al was extremely understanding and showed great patience. I would recommend this accomodation to anyone who wished to visit the city in the highest terms, and i enjoyed it so much that iam returning in the spring and have since booked accomodation in another city.As an organisation may i say that venere.com are an incredible find and the paragon of user friendly and hassle free on line service. The property is well maintained. The staff members were helpful. The hotel is in an okay area that lends itself to walking. The cab ride from the aiport was less than 20 euros and the hotel was less than two avenues from the metro station. I would advise those staying at this property or others in Barcelona to hail a cab as opposed to have one called for you. The meter kept running before the cab arrived and we paid nearly 7 euros more than expected. The hotel staff should inform guests that there is an additional cost to having a cab called. Overall though, we had a pleasant experience at the hotel.

Nice hotel although a little disappointing for a 4 star. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean and pleasant. Location was OK - a 10 minute walk to La Rambla through some fairly rough looking residential areas was interesting ! All in all a good place to stay

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in after travelling all over Spain. It was in a seedy part of town and certainly wasn't worth the outrageous $$

1. The staff were good. 2. Rooms too small and overpriced 3. The neighbourhood of the hotel was poor and therefore added to our expence as we had to take taxi's everywhere. 4. The hotel needs a restaurant .

I could not fault the hotel in any way, shape or form. The service from the staff was excellent, the rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped and the location was perfect for exploring the city whilst remaining in a relatively quiet area. I cant recommend enough

My partner and I got engaged to be married in Barcelona during our stay. With one serious exception described below) we were very impressed with the staff at the hotel who were friendly, welcoming and helpful. However, our stay was badly affected by events on the last day. My partner became violently ill and I had to call for a doctor. The illness appears to have been caused by drinking the bottled water from the mini bar (and the doctor agreed with this view given the smell of the water from the bottle) - the water smelt strongly like tap water and it appears that someone may have replaced the bottled water with drinking water and placed the bottle back in the mini bar.

the staff were excellent and very friendly/helpful. however the facilities advertised were non existent. the hotel bar was a cupboard and the gym turned out to be smaller than my spare room with even less equipment. also it was shut through water damage throughout our stay. that said the rooms were nice and breakfast was excellent. it was our honeymoon and we had the time of our lives. i would go back although i would probably stay in a different hotel, although on a budget the millenium is an excellent choice - it was superb value for money.

Had a fantastic time in Barcelona. All details given were great, although room was slightly smaller than anticipated. Other than that absolutely no complaints.

The photo we first received had been taken at night - thereby leading us to believe this was the best time to see the property. There was nothing special about the area in which the Hotel is sutuated, apart from its closeness to a metro station and several points of interest. The staff were very helpful in giving information, booking taxis, restaurants, etc. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the staff replenishing and clearing breakfast wore suits and not aprons. There was plenty of choice within the buffet breakfast. If people went away hungry, that was their own fault! The rooms were very comfortable. I usually have a problem with pillows - either they are too hard or too lumpy - but the Milleniums are just right for me. The bathroom I thought was exceptionally clean and lovely. There were plenty of toiletries and everything one would need if they forgot to bring their own. Of course, we would expect this in a newly refurbished hotel. I was particularly impressed in the cot that was provided for my grand-daughter. The sheets and fluffy childs blanket were superbly clean. I was slightly disappointed in the size of the gym. Also, the jacuzzi and sauna were out of order during our stay. Overall, our party of nine thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Barcelona at the Millenium Hotel. We were there to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday - and the hotel helped in making the vent a very special one. kind regards Ann Birrell

Hotel location was excellent. Close to sights or within a short cab ride. Safe area -- could walk to restaurant, etc. in evening. We had reserved a triple room. When we arrived they apologize the room was not available; however, they assigned us to a 2-room suite instead w/jacuzzi (no change in price). The room was very clean w/modern decor. Staff was excellent -- very helpful w/cabs, restaurants, directions, etc. Our stay was extremely pleasant. Should our travels take us to Barcelona again, we would stay at the Millenium again.
