I was pleasantly surprised with the size and comfort provided for the rooms for 3 or 4 guests. The location of the hotel is ideal -not far from the main attractions but yet in a clean and safe neighborhood. The bakery and restaurants nearby, recommended by the staff were excellent choices too! Each person of the group (18) is ready to return and stongly recommends a stay at the hotel.

A very clean and friendly hotel. Basic but spacious enough for our week stay. Had everything we could ask for (although an English T.V channel with movies or something other than news would have been good) and the location was superb a five minute walk to the nearest metro stop, and a short walk to the Sagrada Familia. A few nice little tapas bars/restaurants on the doorstep too. Very helpful and friendly staff, free wi/fi, nice buffet breakfast, all in all a very nice and good value for money hotel., Would highly recommend!

it's a fair price considering this is a 2** hotel...they only have 2 english channels (BBC & CNBC).... breakfast is quite pricey (8.70Euro)and not so pleasing enough..water for tea or coffee is cold...for this breakfast price , just walk along the block to the nearest bakery where the coffee is excellent..me & my son went there on our last day , ordered their 3 pcs of small sandwiches, a croissant, a cup of coffee & tea for only 8.60Euro.

I booked a single and it was a tight little room but not uncomfortably or unexpectedly so. It was clean and spare, but I had everything I needed. Shower is a bit tight with a kind of spooky vent into an open space in the wall. Staff were nice and held my bags in a secure area until my room was ready. They were helpful with directions as well. Only criticsm is that the hard wood/vinyl floors everywhere ensure you hear every footstep of your neighbors above and to the side. There was a family with kids staying the night I was there so it was pretty loud. Stay here; just bring your earplugs.

Great hotel in a nice neighborhood. Close to many sites and the metro. Clean, quiet room (we had one facing the street and heard nothing with the windows closed) and accommodating and polite staff. Our breakfast was not included, but there were bakeries nearby. Also, you must leave the key at the desk when going out, which we found to be typical. I would stay again and would recommend to others. A great find!

Good quality for a 2 star hotel. Clean, tidy and friendly staff who will help you if you ask them. Didn't sleep well for 4 nights. I was up to 27 C and the sun heated the hotel at day time so the nights were hot. I told the staff. They would talk to the manager but nothing happened. The room was sound proff from the outside but inside there were noise from doorslamming and bathrooms. Pros:A lot of restaurants nearby (as it is in all BCL) and 8 min walk from Sagrada Familia and close to the Metro. You get what you pay for.

I stayed in the hotel with my 8 year old son for 3 nights as we came to watch the football. The hotel was simple to find from the train station as the directions made it simple. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and friendly taking time to talk to me and my son. The hotel was clean and the rooms were lovely much more than I expected. The reception staff gave us a map and circled where we were and some other monuments and advised us on stations to get off at. I never bother to do reviews but was so impressed with the hotel I wanted to this time and if and when I go back to barca I would definately book this hotel.

Very clean with firm comfortable beds. Rather cramped bathroom. Helpful, efficient staff. Short walk from the metro and not too far from the Sagrada Familia (c.10 minute walk). Buy tickets for this in advance from ServiCaixa cashpoints and avoid the enormous queue. Look for ones with 'Entrada' option at the top of the touch screen; you need to put your card in first. A good choice for a well-positioned hotel with a corporate but friendly feel.

This hotel is simple, not fancy, but it was extremely clean and the staff was excellent. The rooms are small and a bit dorm-like, but since they face an inner courtyard, you are spared any outside noise. The doors/walls are a bit thin, however I always travel with a sound machine, as anyone with noise concerns should. Breakfast is simple and adequate, and if you are on a budget, you could make sandwiches to take with you for lunch, otherwise you can do better at a cafe/bar. The neighborhood is quiet at night, but I was here off season (but in high season, might be a good respie). I'd definitely stay here again.

This is a clean, comfortable hotel, which is excellent value. It is fairly close to the Sagrada Familia (within walking distance), but otherwise it's a bit of a walk (ie, 20 - 30 minutes) to La Rambla and to the Passeig di Gracia. It is within walking distance to two Metro stops (Tetuan and Monumental), but it's a long walk if you have several pieces of luggage! Staff were friendly, helpful and speak excellent English. Tip: For fans of Modernist architecture, the Hospital de Sant Pau (a few blocks walk from the Sagrada Familia) is well worth a look. Unfortunately it was all under scaffolding when we visited (April 2010), but it is still a wonderful example of the period.

The hotel was cheap, the rooms extremely big (for the European standard) and the staff was very helpful with all of our group's changes in room type and petitions. It isn't exactly in the way of anything important in Barcelona, but the surroundings are not terrible.

We had booked the lowest rate room for us and our 4 year-old daughter. The hotel upgraded us to a 2 bedroom at same cost. The property was consistently clean, well appointed and the staff friendly. Location was within a few blocks of La Sagrada Familia and a metro. For what we paid we felt we got our money's worth and more!!

Renovated hotel. Much better inside than ouside. Well furnished, spacious and very clean room. Bathroom quite small and without any window. At walking distance there is a bakery serving good breakfast for few euros. In the nearby there are good spanish unexpensive restaurants.

It was a good place to stay, close the metro and Barcelona Nord, and there were a couple of small convenience stores nearby. The wifi was free and accessible from my room (305) and when I accidentally used the login on my iPhone and found it couldn't be logged out to use on my netbook, they front desk staff were kind enough to provide me a 2nd login. Also the room safe spring to open was faulty but again the staff working the front desk (I forget his name!) was quite helpful in assisting me. The breakfast was okay considering it's a buffet, but it was the same thing everyday, so you might want to spend your 8,50 EUR elsewhere if you stay longer than 2-3 days. The staff were generally very nice, helpful and approachable (even if you spoke English or broken-Spanish like I did) -- except maybe the 1 or 2 working the desk at late hours, but nothing to cry home about. The bathroom was also very small, toiletries and towels offered was kept to a minimum, and the space to get into the shower stall was very snug. However everything was kept clean, the bed was comfortable and the price was right, so I'd stay again.

Great position, very close to Estacio Nord (bus station for Girona airport). Rooms are quite small but clean and new. Very goog choice for a short stay in Barcelona with a reasonable price.

This place was really close to the Metro and to Sagrada Familia. Walking distance. It was a really spacious room and we had a great shower, that was needed after the down pour that came down the day we arrived. We enjoyed our stay there, even though it was one night. I would recommend it.

We found that staying at this hotel was really a good choice. It is close to the Metro stop and we found it to be easy access to eating places and a very affordable internet access. The staff was really helpful and very easy to deal with. The fact they spoke English was a huge bonus for us! We would recommend this hotel to everyone. We stayed in Barcelona for 5 nights!

Perfect location and easy access to metro. This area seems secure even at night. The only shortcoming is noise at bathroom. We will probably choose this hotel if we return Barcelona again.

Excellent hotel especially considering that it is a two star! Also very conveniently located like 5 to 10 minutes walk from the Barcelona North Bus terminus. Would definitely stay there again.

Although not in the downtown - relatively convenient location. Definitely good for the quiet staying and affordable eating in the nearby bars/cafes/restaurants. Close to the metro, possible walking to the center (for those who are not afraid of 20-30 min promenade). Using taxi towards this place is also not extra expensive.

Make sure you come during Barcelona La Merce Festival Sept 24 for the festival and the giants parade which ends at the cathedral at 20:00. Good luck on finding any information on it in English or at the help desk!
