Hotel Acta 40 - Barcelona

It's OK, good relationship between price and quality.

We were family to the a week the position is very good the deficit, the environment, and the noise and also the price is high

We were very happy with this hotel. We stayed there for the 29th and 30th of December and we booked the same day. The breakfast was great...I think that is what convinced us to stay another day. The street was a bit dodgy but very convenient. 5 minute walk to the Rambla and to Plaza Catalunya.

It will be interesting to have photos of the rooms on the site. It was the first time we stay in Hotel Acta 40.

Although on a busy narrow street, quite dingy, the hotel was a wonderful find. It was close to the gothic area as well as to the metro. The room was very clean, adequate in space, modern bathroom and had several vegetable/fruit stands which made picking up snacks and fruit very convenient and not dependent on solely restaurant food. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Some might consider the narrow street threatening, but I found it safe day and even at night. I would certainly return to this little gem again.

Excellent rate of hotel, small and friendly

I liked the Acta 40, it was a clean and modern hotel.I stayed 3 nights. The single room was a bit on the small side, but when you are out sighting seeing all day you don't spend much time in your room.Breakfast was of good quality(and the price had been reduced). The reception staff were all very helpful and spoke English.It was easier to get to the hotel from the Universatie metro station. The downsides were that the hotels surroundings weren't the nicest, but I didn't feel unsafe, even in the evening. In the square behind the the hotel there were noisey skateboarders. I would recommend the Acta 40.

Nice hotel in a somewhat seedy neighborhood. But no problems walking around during the day for us 2 females. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall excellent place from which to explore all the sights of Barcelona.

Hotel ottimo per qualità prezzo, metro a 2 passi, situato in zona con locali per la sera e vicino alla rambla, raggiungibile in 10 minuti a piedi. Stanze un pò piccole (la doppia ha letto da una piazza e mezza) ma pulite. Ideale per week end!

This is a great hotel, in the center of barcelona, very close to la rambla. the service is just perfect! the hotel looks totaly new and clean, and the room we stayed in was exactly what we needed! we're coming back for sure!

The hotel was really nice. It was just a few minutes walk away from Las Rambla. Take also the breakfast; it was excellent with fresh fruit, cold cuts and sweet cakes.

Don't choose the double economy room if you are two: there's a single bed, it's a cheat!!

Good location

Very nice hotel, highly recommanded, however the surrounding is not very pleasant (very popular area, and nuisy) Try to book for rooms in the top floor and/or at the back side.

Salve a tutti. Io e la mia ragazza abbiamo dormito qui per 5 giorni e devo dire che ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il servizio è ottimo, le stanze non sono enormi ma secondo me è il giusto compromesso per una vacanza in cui uno non vuole passare la giornata in albergo. Le camere sono silenziose, meglio se però vi fate mettere ai piani alti, e la colazione è divina, economica se si decide di farla tutti i giorni in albergo, un pò più cara se si opta solo per qualche giorno. Se dovessi decidere di tornare a Barcellona sicuramente tornerei qui, il servizio è ottimo e gli addetti alla reception sempre cordiali e disponibili.

Only real drawback was the exremely small and claustrophobic room we had, though I don't think all the rooms are like that one. Food was great, and the staff was absolutely fantastic.

This is a great hotel, close to La Ramblas and very modern, clean and good service, free wifi also. We didn't try the breakfast as it wasn't included and from memory was a bit pricey. The only surprise was the size of our room - we booked a double room but it was VERY small and the bed was VERY small - didn't feel like a double bed, but wasn't a single so not sure what size it was. Hotel surroundings are a little off-putting at first but the area is quite lively and fun. We would stay here again (we would just confirm the size of our room first!)

We payed for what we reserved, a double bed more than a month before our trip, but were however treated to two twin beds stuck together, unfortunately the beds are on wheels and the gap between them would create a grave annoyance as it moved along, it however had an ample bathroom, a very spacious terrace, tv with cable, clean sheets, bathroom and towels but dusty furniture, wifi, very bright halogen lights (no ambient lighting whatsoever) and in practice, a single bed. The patrons were nice, the design of the hotel is modern, breakfast buffet is not included in the price.

Everythig was perfect. Very close to the Plaza Catalunya, the hotel looked perfect, the staff was very nice and ready to help, the rooms were quiet, clean, and everything looked new. We enjoyed our stay very much and we highly reccomend this hotel.

Well located, close to shops and bars and not far from The Ramblas. Rooms are clean but noisy especially in the saturday night.

Good quality for the price, the hotel surroundings are not very nice but it is very near the city centre.

We have stayed in several hotels from the venere.com site and the one consistent thing we see across all locations is that the location maps are lacking. They are vague and do not provide directions on how to get to them from the closest big attraction / street. With that being said, this hotel is just off the beaten path (a couple minutes from Placa Catalunya) so it is quiet. We would stay here again. We were a little frustrasted because the internet was not working and the hotel staff did not bother to direct us to a place a block away where we could check our email and confirm our travel plans.

I have stayed in Apsis 40 during my trip to Barcelona a couple of days ago. The location of the hotel is very comfortable, the metro station is very close and the center of city (La Rambla, Pz. Catalunya etc.,) also. The surroundings near the hotel itself are less nice but for tourist that most of the day not there it’s fine. The problem is the spaciousness of rooms and the connection between the photos in the Internet site and the reality. The room that I stayed in was very different from the room on the photos. It was very little and without any additional equipment (such as kettle, glasses etc,), but on the other hand the room was very clean with air conditioner and big bathroom. The towels were changed only after we thrown them on the floor, simple request at the reception wasn’t much useful. For nice not long and not expansive stay in Barcelona – very nice, the overall mark is 6.

The hotel was hard to reach at night from the airport because it is located in a one-way street with controlled access. Nobody from the access control station answered the intercom and so we had to walk about 100m to the hotel. We stayed in a double room which was quite small. The bed was confortable but there was barely any room to move around it. Breakfast was not included and was quite expensive (EUR 8) whereas it was possible to get a decent breakfast in nearby cafes for less than EUR 4.
