Hotel Acevi Villarroel - Barcelona

Execllent hotel but a little disappointed with the pool (too small, cannot swim) and the "gym" area only 2 old machines. Otherwise, great jacuzzi, great food, and rooms super clean and always clean!! And the personal very nice as well and helping. The location is pretty nice, as it is not located in a busy street. I do recommand this hotel.

Four of us stayed in this hotel and would all highly recommend it. It's great value for money, extremely clean, fabulous location - everything within walking distance, good breakfast, nice staff. It also has a pool and spa but there's so much to do in Barcelona that we didn't get to use either of them. The only drawback with this hotel was that our shower got blocked and although my friend mentioned it to staff at reception on our second last night, the situation didn't seem to have been dealt with effectively.

La scelta è stata molto conveniente e la rifarei. Eccellente disponibilità della reception all'arrivo: dapprima mi hanno assegnato una camera come da mie richieste al momento della prenotazione e poi me l'hanno cambiata poichè dopo averla vista era un pò piccola. L'hotel non è panoramico: io avevo chiesto una camera ad un piano alto ma essendo sul retro vedevo dei palazzi molto popolari! Le camere non hanno balconi ma solo finestre che non so neanche se si possono aprire o comunque è molto scomodo farlo. L'hotel permette di usare comodamente il bus che dall'aeroporto porta in centro scendendo alla fermata comte d'urgell, la seconda venendo dall'aeroporto. Dall'incrocio dove c'è la fermata della metro basta percorrere due isolati e si è in hotel e stesso discorso per la ripartenza, dove però la fermata è sulla parallela alla gran via (dove siete arrivati). Credo che si chiami avenida roma. Buona la sauna e il bagno turco gratis, piccola la vasca idromassaggio nel piccolo centro wellness dell'hotel. Pulizia sempre eccellente della camera, impianto stereo con radio, lettore cd/dvd e segnalo due pc a disposizione dei clienti su ogni piano con connessione internet gratuita. A volte sono riuscito a collegarmi in modalità wireless anche dal mio pc in camera dove c'è la cassaforte grande a sufficienza per metterci dentro il portatile. Vi assicuro che è una bella comodità per chi se lo porta dietro! Frigobar molto fornito. Prezzi medi. I dintorni non sono male. Non è proprio la parte più bella dell'eixample tuttavia in dieci minuti a piedi si raggiungono sia l'avenida diagonal che il passeig de gracia, le strade più importanti dello shopping. Di fronte all'hotel, infine, c'è la fermata degli autobus che porta direttamente a placa de catalunya e ramblas. Colazione non compresa ma di fronte all'hotel piccolo bar con ottime paste e buon cappuccino: due euro e barcellona lì che vi aspetta!

The double room was small with no space to relax as the major part of the space was taken up with a desk which was more suited to an office.Overall at 150 euro per night without breakfast it was poor value .The bar area was located at the back of the restaurant which was difficult to find and was usually deserted and not very welcoming.

In general the hotel was good. The only disappointment was we tried unsucessfully to book a massage on two occassions and we then gave up.

Super Hotel - Great value for money. The weather was extremely hot during our stay approx 40 degrees cel. so it was wonderful to have access to the outdoor swimmingpool. Fantastic marble bathroom. 15 min walk to both plaza espania and plaza catalonya.

Exellent séjour dans cet hotel. Personnel agréable. Chambres propres et spacieuses. Dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de parking.

Enjoyed our stay the only suggestion we could pass on was that the seating area for the bar area could be extended and reduce number of tables in the resturant .The staff were very helpful at all times

I would definitely return to this hotel. It has a very good environment, with excellent large rooms, and the hotel is 2 stations from the center. You could not ask for more for a stay in Barcelona!

I have been many times in the past years to Barcelona for business and pleasure. I have had generally speaking rather bad experiences with hotels downtown, when reserved by Travel Agents. This time I decided to take a chance with Internet and Venere.com , as I know the city centre well enough to discriminate at least reg. the location. Finally I decided for ACEVI VILLAROEL , as the building looked recently refurbished and in a convenient location in the Eixample, near the main attractions (we walked everyday to the Ramblas or Barrio Gotico and the stroll was absolutely pleasant) but far from the noise and crowds of the more central areas. Moreover everything corresponded to the descriptions on Internet and the bathrooms were even better than expected. We recommed this hotel!

We were offered a room at the Acevi Villarroel after our initial selection cancelled. I had been on the Acevi website and found no availability. When we arrived, we found that they had placed us in a luxury 2 floor, 2 bath suite at the prce of a twin room. The hotel is within walking distance to major sites and in a lovely neighborhood of its own. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This was a lovely hotel, me and my partner were a bit worried about booking over internet but the room was lovely with gorgeous marble bathroom. The swimming pool was not open (February) but other facilities were available. It is a bit of a walk to the coast (get taxi- really cheap) but overall resturants/fab shops close etc. Thanks for a great stay.
