Location is not far from Rambla, but in the tiny street with garbage containers just in front of the entrance. Room was not fresh, with window in the pit-style yard. It's not a three stars hotel, surely. It's better to stay on Rambla - it took us 20 minutes to find the same price hotel of better quality with Rambla view.

Did not receive welcome drink which was a little disappointing. Room was small but fine- however, was woken up in the early hours as hotel insulation must be quite thin, leading to noise travelling easily from adjacent rooms! Excellent location, and good breakfast- staff generally very helpful and friendly.

A great hotel at a great location (3 mins walk to the train station and 5 mins walk to La Rambla)! We had a mini suite with a balcony that faces the main street. The room was clean and champange was served chilled in our room upon arrival. We had a wonderful stay here during the La Merce Festival as its ideal location made every places easily accessible. They even had one of the Merce events -the Merce Parade started right in front of the hotel entrance and the performers parade the street in front of our balcony =) The staff here were great and friendly and the hotel has a delightful ambiance. We'll surely recommend this hotel to anyone who would love to stay in Barcelona.

This hotel is located near all of the tourist sites and the staff was very friendly. However, the room was to small for two people. The air conditiioning in our room didn't work and there was a lot of noise from outside. If you choose this hotel, pay the extra money and opt for the larger room.

Loved proximity to Las Ramblas and the shops and port were an extra attraction. Lovely city. A delight for those who love architecture and museums, churches and also very interesting features such as entertainment and market (boqueria). Terrific metro service and information staff were top class. One problem with this hotel was noise emanating from apartment at back of hotel very close to our room. Woman commenced shouting about 6pm each evening and continued up to midnight. Seemed to be chastising someone or other.Reception staff said they would look into it but we got no feedback and it continued every evening.

Excellent location, central/quick to Born, UB, the Raval, La Rambla etc. Good value. Nice touch with the complimentary glass of cava on arrival. Can be noisy, evenings, due to the central stairwell. Great neighborhood bars/restaurants closeby. Clean but somewhat cramped.

The room was small wioth a single bed, some storage and and a tv. The bathromm seemed more spaciou than the bedroon. The room was in a BACK ANNEX or at least that was how it felt. the room was was on the 6th floor with a veranda that was bigger than the the room and bathroom with the view of a wall and the extractor fans for the airconditioning or something! it was quiet as i had the windows closed except for the one in the bathroom. in the summer it might be different!

This was a nice hotel, very well located in the centre of Barcelona. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The room was nice and large with a good size bathroom as well. The only negative with this hotel was lift access. the lifts were tiny and if you were moving in a wheelchair ask for a ground floor room otherwise you won't fit. A couple we encountered, travelling with two small children had to make two separate trips in the lift as it wouldn't hold two adults and strollers.

I went to Barcelona on vacation by myself so the small room was fine. On the last day of my stay my wallet was stolen. The staff was incredibly helpful with getting in touch with my bank to cancel my cards and also in arranging for a different payment method. They even helped me try to find Western Union locations to get cash so I could get to the airport. Extremely helpful staff. I can't thank them enough.

Imagine our surprise when the reservation desk told us we only had a reservation for 3 and not for 5 as we booked through the website. (When you search for accommodations for 5 and get a result, you conclude that you are booking for 5.) The reservation staff was gracious and was able to house us. (This was an embarrassing moment for us.) That said, we would highly recommend this hotel to others. The breakfast buffet (included for us) made fueling 3 teenage boys a breeze! Great location, adequate rooms, good A/C - it was hot - and a most helpful staff.

EXCELLENT location - La Rambla, as well as the main stops for the tour buses, were only a block or 2 away. Very nice hotel and room. Seemed pricey but Barcelona, in general, is expensive. And in most of our European travels, breakfast is included. I don't eat much in the morning so 20+ Euro each additional seemed exorbitant. The room and hotel were great - it took a walk plus 2 elevators to get to the room (was in the linked building). Hardest mattress I've ever slept on, however, but unless that bothers you, no reason not to book here. Watch your belongings while in the bar, however. The bar/lounge is located just inside the front door and a fellow guest got her purse snatched. TOTALLY her fault - left it on a chair at a table in back of her. Nevertheless, the layout of the lounge by the door does make it an easy getaway.

The woman responsible for cleaning the room was excellent, and the reception staff were efficient. Opposite the hotel there is a restaurant which does a good breakfast and other meals. The hotel is a short distance from La Rambla, a great location, quiet. The room was cramped though, but that is reflected in the price.

We (three of us)stayed for two nights ending our 5 weeks holiday in Europe in the Hotel Grupotel Gravina and were very impressed. Large, clean rooms located well (only a few minutes walk to La Ramblas and if youre crazy like us only a 20min walk to the Sagrada Familia). The hotel reception were friendly and very accomodating. Hotel Gravina was in a perfect location to explore Barcelona -- just off Placa Catalunya and a VERY short walk to Las Ramblas. Hotel staff was as cordial and professional as expected. A mix up in reservation (which was identified prior to arrival) was acknowledged and handled beautifully. Very comfortable room/quiet, clean and nice size. Bathroom also. My compliments in particular to Ivana Garcés for her thoughtfulness and dedication to customer service. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

First time to Barcelona. What a beautiful city. The Hotel was very well situated, 5 minutes walk from Las Ramblas and Pl Catalunya. Champagne on arrival was a nice way to greet us. Best way to see the city is on the hop on and off bus. Very good value and you get to see the wonderful Gaudi architecture. An added bonus was that Take That were on tour and we managed to get tickets! What an end to a 50th Birthday bash!

This hotel is ideally situated to access the metro and within easy walking distance of central Barcelona. The only problem was our room was at the back in "Gravina II" and obviously over another business which was a bar/restaurant and there was very loud chatting, cheering, singing etc going on until midnight or 1am. followed by very loud scraping of chairs and tables as the place was tidied up at the end of the evening, making it difficult to get to sleep much before 1.30am. Then the place obviously opened for breakfast as the scraping chairs started again at about 8am!!! If you can guarantee not to get a room over this propery or a few floors above ours(We were 2nd floor)then this is a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff.

I am totally disapointed by the service given by Venere.com for a simple reason to understand. We had booked a room in the hotel Grupotel Gravina. But arrived in the reception desk the receptionist told us that they had book on behalf of us a room in an other Hotel (Atlantis Hotel), because of a lack of electricity in the hotel !! It is totally inacceptable. We had paid for a quality of an hotel that we did not get !! I did not want to create problem with you and asked you compensation but I will never book one again an hotel with Venere.com. Despite the hotel where we slept which was not so bad 3-star hotel but probably not with the same quality that the Hotel for wichi we booked in Venere.com.

The rooms were absolutely fine but there is a club nearby that the hotel have no control over and the rooms suffer from noise in the evening until 12 midnight some nights (others 1 a.m.) and again early in the morning. We complained but were told there was nothing they could do. We asked to change rooms but the second one was smaller and suffered from the same problem. The position was good but if you need your sleep I advise you to stay elsewhere!

The desk staff were friendly and really helped us plan how to see Barcelona. We were delighted that our room had a private patio! Location was very convenient - turn left into the Gothic quarter or turn right toward wide boulevards, the Placa Catalunya, restaurants, and upscale shops. One day we walked through the medieval and Roman parts of the old city and then down the Rambla to the harbor and visited the Maritime Museum, walking back just at dusk as the lights were coming on. It was beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay, the greeting by the staff was pleasant with Champagne on arrival. The location was great being close to the Metro and the buses at Place de Cataluna. We found the beds extremely firm, good for some?? Our room was very close to an adjoining Hotel restaurant which was extemely noisy both at lunch and dinner. You could hear the continual chat of patrons the dropping of plates and the moving of chairs until well after midnight. Ear plugs will be helpfull if you stay in room 221 or close by. If the room was less noisey our stay would have been perfect.

Was very diappointed with this hotel, booking was for three adults in a triple room, however allocated room was extremely small and thrid bes was a sofa bed, we had very little space to move around room comfortablt, had to pay extra to up grade to a larger room. Hotel also very noisy from within, awakened each morning by housekeeping staff at around 6am, banging doors, chatting and moving around, laminated flooring did not help here.Location of hotel was good, very close to La Ramblas, however I was not impressesd with this hotel, I would not recommend it to my friends and would not stay there again

Hotel was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Great location, near to university metro. Room a little small, asked for a double and got a twin. Also web said bathrooms had a spa bath and ours didnt. Breakfast excellent, lots of choice for all nationalities & we didnt need lunch! All in all I would use this hotel again on a return trip.

My stay at H10 Hotel Gravina was very positive. The lobby and room were comfortable. Of course, the free use of the lobby computer with internet was a plus. There was an extensive selection at breakfast. Also, when I had my wallet stolen on the Metro (be careful out there!), the staff was most helpful. While the hotel is a little hard to find since it's off the main road, it's location is very convenient to Las Ramblas and two different Metro lines. I'd definitely stay there again.

Great location for access to mos facilities Alicante has to offer. Beach, port, tram service, old town. Booking through venere though, hotel was not aware I booked a room for two people, fortunately they saw my reservation print out and staff had no problem accomodating my request. However, this meant an extra 25 Euro/night charge which was not indicated on venere. Rooms were spacious, comfortable , air conditioned. wireless internet access available. Staff were all English speaking and very helpful.

Had a bit of trouble finding. Rooms were small but accomodated us well. Party of 6 in 2 triples. Good thing 3 were kids. Pull out bed not made for us big folks. Free internet appreciated. Contacted airport luggage folks for us to expedite our lost luggage. Well air conditioned. Did not try food/bar.

We were a group of 3 friends travelling together and so booked a triple room. The ensuite room was HUGE. The staff in the hotel were extremely helpful, very friendly and our welcome couldn't have been better - a glass of champagne. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona as it is in a perfect location from which to explore the city. The hotel was also exceptionally clean and I quote other people who have stayed there when I say I cannot believe this hotel is only a 3 star hotel.

Simply couldn't fault it. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel centrally located especially in its proximity to the bus service for the airport and the Cental Barcelona. Wouldn't hesitate in recommending the hotel, especially for a short break holiday.

We were a group of 6 Finnish ladies enjoying a week end in Barcelona. Had read the complaints of another such group (British, I think) and were curious what would be our experience. Reserved two triples, got a regular triple, just enough space, plus a junior suite, which was very spacious (also great bathroom)for the same price. Were extremely satisfied with the rooms. Hint to all those who complained about the size of a regular triple: keep yor things tidy in closets and put your suitcases under beds etc. Also for the British ladies: Have you ever seen three star hotel rooms in the centre of London - or Paris? They truly are small, not these! Besides, we spent days and evenings out, not in the rooms! Service was good: special regards to guy named Serge who seemed to be cheerful and helpful whenever we met him!

Nice, clean and quiet hotel just a few steps from everything. Our double room was much smaller then we expected and the beds quite hard for our tast. The personnel at reception desk were very helpful and service minded. The breakfast buffé wasn't any disappointment either, but something has to be done to minimize the noise of scratching chairs. I would recommend staying at Gravina Hotel if it’s the matter of visiting Barcelona during only few days.

We were in Barcelona for a short break (3 nights) and wanted a triple in an accessible location but slightly off centre away from the main noise and activity. H10 Gravina was within our budget (£400 total) and proved more than satisfactory. THE ROOM- was a bit cramped for 3, usually a suite for 2(?) with a sofa bed, but then again we only slept in it. . Nice bathroom, fridge, TV, comfy beds. At the back so no view, no spare electric sockets, poor lighting over 3rd bed and wardrobe area, drains smelly briefly in the morning. HOTEL- staff excellent, very helpful, breakfast great, lots of choice; 2 internet computers in reception. LOCATION-good, by metro station (Universitat) and on bus routes, 5 minutes walk to Placa Catalunya/Ramblas.

Very impressed with this hotel. Only disappointment was we had requested a non smoking double room and neither request was met. When we pointed this out to the staff we were told that double bedded rooms were much smaller, yet on our last day discovered such a room across the corridor. Apart from this this is an excellent value hotel in a great location Breakfast was top class and the best value hotel of the many we have stayed in Europe or the USA. There is a very pleasant lively bar across the street which compensates for the early closing of the hotel bar. Highly recommend this hotel.

I cannot rant and rave enough about this hotel. I booked a triple room through Venere and ended up with a HUGE, spacious, modern and clean 2 bedroom suite for 107 euro/night. Some of the features: sitting area with sofa bed and TV, 2nd TV in the other bedroom, 2 walls of closets, jet stream bath/shower. I was able to get a very early check-in (10am!) with no hassle at all. The breakfast buffet (not just pastries and drinks but eggs, sausage, bacon, etc) which is included in the price of the room was excellent. The hotel is just a short walk from Placa Catalunya, although there is a closer H10 right on the Placa (but more expensive than H10 Gravina). There are 2 computers with internet access in the lobby, but I had to wait my turn a few times. Could use more computers, or a second lounge area with more computers. Staff was very friendly and helpful... Although on our departure there was a newer staff member who did not know much about getting around Barcelona. This was totally forgivable given our wonderful experience. Did I mention how BIG our room was?!
