My husband and I stayed at Gran Torre for 6 nights. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, its spectacular! I wasn’t expecting what I found…if you like 5 star hotels & a 5 star service, then definitely book in this hotel! It’s like a 5 star hotel but with a 4 star price...what more can anyone ask for!! It was worth every penny, it had a mini-bar, water heater with complementary tea & coffee, a hair dryer, ironing board! Everything…I loved the hotel; it completed the whole feel of being on a vacation. We booked an executive room and had such a breathtaking view, we were on the 17th floor and the view was overlooking the Expo pool terrace and the whole of Montjuic & the MNAC, and on one side you could see the horizon of the sea…I loved the large floor to ceiling windows, the bed is too comfortable to get out of, and the bathroom is super huge, with his & hers sinks and a huge bathtub with water pressure that makes you want to stay in the shower. The location is perfect, I wouldn’t have asked for a better location. You have the main station ‘Estacio’ to your left, this is like 3mins walk and it has the Renfe train that comes directly from the airport. Also 5mins walk to your left there’s a very nice park (Joan Miro) with a beautiful lake, very nice to have breakfast at in the mornings. And there’s a supermarket and bakery located in the same building as the hotel. Also right in front of the hotel there’s PAN which is like a Spanish sub-way type thing. Also it’s walking distance from Placa Espanya and Montjuic where Poble Espanyol & the Magic fountain are located, and another 10mins to get to the Estadi Olympico. Its location is right in the center, close to everything – you go to Placa Espanya to get to barcelonatta beach and the other beaches nearby. And if you take the metro station right across the street you can easily get to La Ramblas or anywhere else in 15mins maximum. It’s also a plus that you can access the

The hotel has an excellent situation, with easy access to the metro and main line station. We had a panoramic view of the city from our executive room. All the staff we spoke to were polite and friendly.Only downside was the lack of free internet.

I recommend this hotel. The view over Barcelone from the 23rd floor (restaurant, where breakfasts are taken) is extraordinary. From my room window (10th floor), I could see the cat of the Plaça dels Països Catalans (a feat, because you have to know there is a cat, and few people in Barcelone know it; moreover this cat is very small).

Wonderful 4 star hotel, clean, sylish, great airconditioning, all the bells and whistles. business center let us print our boarding passes. the hotel's hair dryer didn't work well - kept shorting out. but it is across the street from the Sants Barcelona train station, so it gets LOUD early in the morning - so keep that in mind. it was quiet at night. easy to get taxis. perfect for us to rise at 4:45am to take a taxi to the airport at 5:45am for an early flight. only 15min to the airport at that hour. not in a very interesting neighborhood, but a metro stop is close by.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating, especially when the front desk told me I was booked for a single room, even though my confirmation print-out clearly said a double room. They gave me a double room, no problem. Very spacious rooms, comfy beds and great showers! Only complaint was I felt the room wasn't 100% clean. But I would go back, great location if need a quick night's sleep next to bus/train station!

This was our fourth time to Barcelona; the first time we've stayed at the Hotel Torre Catalunya. Great value. Gracious people. Good access to most everything we wanted to see.

Stayed there for one night before going on a cruise. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very nice. The buffet breakfast in the top floor restaurant was pretty good. The location was convenient to all of Barcelona. Getting there by train from the airport was very easy. Getting around Barcelona via the Metro was easy too. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I'll definitely stay there again if I return to that beautiful city!

We booked this hotel in 10 minutes flat whilst sitting in an internet cafe in Spain. Thanks to Venere.com and the feedback system, this was very easy, and like others we chose this hotel in view of it's proximity to the main Saints station. For the traveller this is the right choice, as to move around Barcelona the Metro system is the only sensible option. A T10 ticket allows 10 trips on the Metro system and only costs 7.25 Euros. It was also very nice to return to a quieter area of Barcelona at the end of a busy day. The hotel was an excellent and typical 4 star business style hotel. Our room (801) was a large twin bedded room which had also had the benefit of a large walk in shower as well as a bath. The only couple of small letdowns, were the lack of tea / coffee making facilities in the room and the mini ironing board which was almost useless. We did not use any of the hotel facilities, so we cannot comment on them. We also did not use the hotel restaurant or have breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast would have been 16 Euros per head, discounted to 14 Euros per head if you booked in advance, so we took the opportunity to go next door to a cafe where 4 croissants and two coffees cost 7.20 Euros. The cafe also supplied a cooked breakfast for around 5 Euros. The value of our two night stay was excellent. It may be because we booked last minute or the fact that it was in August (hot and few businessmen), but the two nights cost 199.02 Euros, with first night costing 96.30 Euros and the second night costing 102.72 Euros. I have no idea why there was a difference. The staff were extremely polite and efficient, and the information they gave us, as it was our first trip to Barcelona, was very helpful. I would stay at this hotel again if returning to Barcelona.

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a base in Barcelona. The location of the hotel for the airport and public transport was very good. Our only downside was the wind noise around the building overnight which kept us awake (we were on a lower floor). Also, it would have been nice if there could have been a slot for children under 16 to use the pool too.

We stay in a double room very nice and big. we had an excellent dinner in the panoramic restaurant (23rd floor). For me it was not the first time in Barcelona but the first time in this hotel and, honestly speaking, I found it very good and I advice it to everybody. I think it is good for tourism and for business trip because it is close to the railway station and to the metro. Moreover it isn't far from the airport El Prat and the motorways.

Overall all well: The location is excellent - close to the railway station and several underground lines. Considering how close we were to some busy roads the noise insulation was good. The breakfast was nice, but they had a bit of problem with keeping up with the demand as several things kept on running out. Overall, if I came again to Barcelona I would very happily stay at this hotel again.

This hotel isn't located in the heart of the city's attractions but is located adjacent to the train station which was our primary need. We stayed here both when we first arrived and at the end of our trip and stayed along the coast to the south of the city in between. It was very convenient and located close to the metro also. The hotel bar is nice and relaxing and we did eat in the restaurant also. We also spent an evening at the in-hotel spa which was a nice break. There is a grocery store next to the hotel which was a bonus for our picnic lunches.

The hotel was clean staff good. Centrally located to the main Sants Station Metro and Tourist Bus. Easy access to all parts of the city. This was my tenth trip to the city and I would recommend it. They have another hotel called the Expo behind it. I have stayed there as well but getting a little tired now. The Torre is definately the better option

This hotel was absolutely fantastic. My 4-yr daughter and I stayed there for 3 days. The location is a 5 minute (easy) walk to the Sants train station where you can catch the metro to wherever you want to go, plus trains and buses. The room was spacious, modern and luxurious. The hotel breakfast and view from the top floor was great too. They served a wide variety of food. Children under 5 are free. For the price per night it was everything I expected and more.

Our stay was great. One thing I would like to comment on is that I loved the bathroom, the shower especially. I could have taken 6 showers a day. The location of the hotel was also great. Right next to Sants Station, so public transport was right outside the door. The hop-on hop-off tourist buses were also right there. Also, if you are up for a little walk you can also walk to La Rambla in about 30 mins. Taxis also pass frequently right by the front door of the hotel.
