More of a hostal than a hotel. Room was sparce, very basic property. No public area to speak of. Close to train and metro stops, near the Gracias district.

Ideally situated for the transport hub, airport bus and luxury shops. Many good bars close by and close to Casa Mila (La Pedrera)and many Gaudi buildings. La Rambla is only a few minutes walk away.

I was 4 spain and I must say, I was fine. The hotel, strategically located for visits to museums, the works of Gaudi is close to both foot and taking the metro to the center and also "to the Ramblas." Cozy hotel where the guys at the front desk tried to give you information and presence continues even at night. The rooms, though small, are comfortable, no wifi, but the point of Internet access via computer. Good cleaning done every morning (or when there is a chance-free availability of the room by the client). Definitely will be the destination for an upcoming trip to Barcelona next time.

Very small room in an apartment. It is a good room if you want only a place to stay for a night. Very warm staff who help you to get enough information.

This hotel was very noisy! Not noise from the streets but from the other guest rooms. There is no carpet on the floors so everything echoes and is loud. When I complained to the staff he was very rude and showed no interest. I booked a single room and the bed was too small that my feet hung over the edge and I'm only of average height. However the location, the bathroom and the wifi quality were very good. I would not recommend this for people who enjoy a good night sleep.

I stayed in hotel Universal in a twin room for three nights and it was great. All I needed and more. Nice room, enough space, hugh wardrobe, a small balcony, a bathroom with bathtub, fast and free wifi connection, very friendly staff. and all this for a one star hotel. good location too. the hotel is on a very busy street but the windows are new and its actually quite quiet. definitely going back there for my next trip to barcelona.

I was a single traveller so I enjoeyed the position of the hotel, giving me chance to go around in the centre of barcelona and going back without any problems. The Hotel is unfortunately very loud, as the rooms and the area is concerned. Perfect for a few days, otherwise you could have sleep problems.

The hotel doesn't resemble to be a hotel at all. The "lobby" was located at the second floor and the outside signs indicating that that was the place were too small.
