THE LOCATION AND ACCOMMODATIONS WERE GREAT...CLOSE TO THE METRO AND RESTAURANTS. FABRIZIO CONTU AT THE FRONT DESK PROVIDED EXCELLENT SERVICE . THE ONLY THING LACKING WAS A PROPER COFFEE MAKER.

An excellent choice for our three day stay in Barcelona. The friendly staff readily accommodated our earlier than expected arrival - a real bonus after 16 hours in transit. The room was clean, spacious and quiet, the bed comfortable and everything was in working order. Although the kitchenette was sparsely equipped, additional appliances/utensils were available upon request at no charge. We also liked the fact that the hotel's location somewhat away from the main tourist areas provided a glimpse of everyday life. There are many shops and cafes in the neighborhood, and the station for Barcelona's marvelous subway is just around the corner. We highly recommend Aparthotel Acacia.

Location was great..we were very close to the metro, which we used about half the time. We also were close enough to walk to the heart of the city. Rooms were very spacious with kitchen and living area. Also free internet, which was a plus, since we stayed there a week. I would recommend this hotel to all.

A lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff - it was great to have a lounge area in the room. Good location for getting around and yet also quiet for sleeping.

Best part is the location.Even walking back from La Rambla (as metro did not work any more)was not that far. Place is nice and clean , although living room part of the appartment could have been bigger. Parking in hotel garage is a challenge - took us min. 15 minutes every time.

We chose the hotel primarily because of its location and the possibility to do some cooking if needed. Arriving late, we were helped by the receptionist to find a local store that was still open. He also suggested a good restaurant nearby. We felt well cared for during our 5-night stay. Spanish hotel breakfasts mostly tend to consist of sweet cakes, juices, etc., so the kitchenette was very useful. The web description is accurate. Our apartment was overlooking the backyard and was very quiet. The street is, however, very busy so it may be that the roadside rooms are not as perfectly quiet as ours. The only problem was the direction of air-conditioning in the bedroom that pushed the stream directly to the bed. It was not a problem for us because nights were still not too hot, but it can become a problem in August. Overall the hotel was a good choice.

Room is quite spacious and clean. I think that it's very good for family with little child like us. Breakfast is serviced to room, and consists of breads, pastries, cereal and coffee(or tea). It's excelent. Also, the staffs are very kind. The bad things are noise and smell. The noise from the street and bathroom makes you feel that door is open. Also, after makeup room, the smell of cleaning spray or fragrance is very strong. Window can't be open.

We stayed here for 6 nights and were so much satisfied with the services. Our room was large and clean as advertised on the website and metro station could be accessed within one minute. The kitchenette was very helpful for us as we sometimes enjoyed shopping at the nearby market and cooked local fresh food. We would definitely stay here again in Barcelona.

Very good hotel situated not in a touristic area but near a subway station. The room was OK, also the kitchen. I stayed there for 3 weeks, and I find unusual to pay more for the firts 2 nights, 140 euro, especially in this case; nothing about this when I made the reservation. The staff in very kind. There is no computer in the lobby, so take your laptop with you.

Requested room (non-smoking, back of hotel) was not ready when promised, so we went out to eat. When we came back to see our room, it was obviously a smoking room as the air reaked of cigarette smoke. By this time there were no other non smoking rooms available on the back side of the hotel away from the street so we had to settle with a room facing the street. The room was fairly quiet except for ambulance sirens (hotel is near a hospital) and motorcycle noise (numerous in Barcelona). We arrived at the hotel after 10 hours of traveling, so we were anxious to get into our room to wash up and relax before we went out to eat. The ensuing problem with the hotel room not being ready, and then not getting the requested room was very disappointing.

We specifically wanted a quiet room, and rooms are stated as "sound proofed", but noises could be heard through the doors, walls and ceiling. It was very annoying to hear people talking loudly outside the door and upstairs toilets flushing at 7am!

The staff here were excellent and the cleaning staff are top notch. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were traveling with a five month old. We requested a baby cot in our room and it was all set up and waiting for us when we arrived. The only negative for us, was that because it is in a location outside of the main tourist area, it is difficult to find a variety of restaurants that are open between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. That's because the Spanish don't eat dinner until after 8:30 p.m. and with a 5 month-old, eating that late was out of the question. That meant either going down to the old city area, or making dinner in our rooms. So, if you are traveling with an infant, you may want to consider that. Otherwise, it is a nice location, a little off the beaten track, very close to the subway, and a nice glimpse into what life is like for people actually living in Barcelona.

booked 2 rooms for our family of 5, the hotel is across the road from "hospital clinic" metro stop, just a couple of stops from the main "sants" station which links you to the airport. not central but easily commutable around city. "diagonal" is within easy walking distance for the "bus turistic" staff couldnt be more helpful and were easily as good as many tourist info centres. they were particularly helpful with some lost luggage from our flight - which thanks to their assistance finally caught up with us in sitges a few days later very highly recommended for a good value for money tourist base

The Acacia Aparthotel provided an excellent base for my wife and 13 yar old daughter on a recent 4 day trip to Barcelona. It is close to the subway system and there are many places to eat nearby. It is important to note that the hotel IS NOT five minutes from Sants station. It is five minutes form the Hospital subway station and not really within walking distance from Sant Station. If you are coming from the airport, get off at the Ave Roma stop and you ARE five minutes from the hotel

I spent 5 days in Barcelona and I decided for Aparthotel Acacia for two main reasons: position, in the heart of modern Eixample district and quality/price ratio. It was an excellent choice (mainly for us, traveling with our teenager daughter) which I warmly recommend.

Very good value. Room at front of hotel but quiet despite being on busy road (well sound-proofed). Well situated, 15 minute walk to Las Ramblas and Casa Mila or metro station next door if you prefer. Room set up as apartment, with a partition between bedroom and kitchen/living area. Good quality furnishings and fittings. Breakfast is extra and served in room - ok value, consisting of pastries, cereal, tea and coffee. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Apart from some confusion over the booking we had a fine stay here. The rooms were very comfortable and the children enjoyed playing with the electronic shutters. As someone mentioned earlier unless you are small in stature the shower head may be a little on the low side. I'm a mere 5ft 9in and the head was down to the base of my neck making showertime... limbotime! Other than that there is little to fault the rooms. Location is fine being just a few metres away from the Hospital Clinic metro station on Line 5 (blue) and we never seemed to be more than 2 or 3 stops away from any of the sights we visited. There are several places to eat close by the hotel though you wouldn't necessarily know it during the day as they are shuttered up. There are also several small cafés close by as well as a supermarket (opposite side of the road and turn right from the entrance to the hotel) if you plan to use the rooms kitchen facilities. The rooms have a fridge which is very handy and are stocked as a mini-bar on arrival at the usual extortionate rate. The cooking facilities extend to 2 hotplates (you have to turn the timer on too for them to work) which are adequate for preparing small meals and for boiling water for drinks (there is no kettle) or indeed sterilising medical equipment - if that's the bag you are into... who am I to judge?

Metro underground stop (Hospital Clinic)is located practically outside door! Made it easy to get around. Restaurants on same block. Shopping (El Corte Ingles) is a 10 minute walk, food store next to metro stop. We had a room on streetside, but window glass was thick so very quiet besides sirens. Internal noise more bothersome - door buzzers, closing doors, voices, but for us tolerable. Kitchenette set up for 2 persons. Need to ask for more dishes if 3+. No microwave or toaster. Staff excellent - answered all questions and provided things we asked for! Their English was excellent and they were polite at all times. Liked the fact there was 24hr reception. Would stay there again!

Very nice place to stay, useful with the small kitchenette. Stayed here for 4 nights, rooms were always very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommmend and stay here again if we visit barcelona again in the future.

Highly recommended. 50 yards to metro. All essentials nearby - shops, restaurants, bars, ferrari dealership across the street. Staff very friendly and helpful. Two quick metro journeys to city centre. Easy access to whole city. Barcelona Card (available from tourist office) recommended if you are going to visit all the museums and other sights. Discounts on most. If you intend to go to a Barcelona game, wait until you get there to purchase tickets and buy them on the day. I found them to be cheaper than club web site (Barcelona v Valencia). The staff was incredibly helpful, going out of their way with both travel assistance and directions. All staff we encountered spoke English, but were pleased at our attempts at Spanish. Location is pleasant, though not as central as I'd imagined, but still not difficult to get to common tourist places. The room was gorgeous, lots of space for three people, with a mini kitchen area and beautiful bathroom. Restaurants in the immediate area are a little limited, and there is a hospital nearby, so sirens could be a problem occasionally. Overall, the best hotel we stayed at in Spain and France.

We rather liked this place--liked it but didn't love it. Not in the greatest area, but steps from the Metro. There was no place nearby to get a decent breakfast if you require such a thing. There was also no computer provided for internet access and we didn't notice anywhere nearby with such access. Apparently the lobby was wired for wi-fi, but that doesn't help you if your own computer handy. Still, the place was quite nice and the price was fair.

You just have to cross the street to get to the underground, and round the corner there are a number of small shops where you can buy all you need for breakfast or whatever you want to concoct in your room's kitchenette. Even the aiport bus station is in walking distance. We plan to return to Barcelona and to stay again in the ACACIA hotel.

The room, bathroom, and the lounge/kitchenette were great. Very clean, well kept. the only two hiccups we had were: first I printed the map of the site and had the aparthotel Bonanova instead so wasted an hour getting to the correct site. the second was that the room next door, which I do not think was part of the hotel was rather noisy. The rooms in this hotel are very nice and spacious. The bathrooms were exceptionally good. The staff are very helpful and friendly. A short walk to the end of the road, takes you to a bus that tours the city. Very worthwhile. There was some noise from surrounding rooms which was a little annoying and also people used the area outside the rooms (around the lift) to smoke which was a little unpleasant. Overall though the rooms were very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

The service provided by this hotel is excellent and far exceed my expectation from a 4-star hotel. The front desk staff speak very good English, and are very helpful. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and definitely we will choose this hotel again when we come back to Barcelona.

As first-time visitors to Barcelona we were concerned mainly about hotel location and also value for money. This hotel offered us exactly what we were looking for - handy for the tourist spots and Metro, an excellent room, friendly staff and enough bars and cafes nearby for that late evening drink/meal. The Metro station (Hospital Clinic) is just across the road and is one stop from Diagonal where you change for the city centre (3 more more stops). Ticket machines in the Metro dispense day tickets (4.8euro) and give change. Highly recommended and we would love to go back.

This hotel is in a great location, it's close enough for the city but for enough away from all of the hussle and bussle. the local bars, restraunts are great and also cheap compared to the main streets but the food is very good quality.

We had a good stay. Very near to the metro station and no far from the rambas. We can suggest this location for a good holiday in Barcellona. When we'll return to Barcellona we'll choose Apartholtel Acacia.

The room was quite spacious, clean, secured. There was this pasta/pizza resto nearby ran by an italian n spanish couple which had very competent and friendly servers, two of which were our countrymen. The food was just delicious and priced right. The hotel is near two metro stations, in an area which is quite peaceful. We will rebook at this hotel in case we travel to Barcelona again, but I hope they allow our three minor kids to stay with us in one room, and give us special discounted rates for extra beds. I couldn't imagine having to get a separate room for my young children, while overseas.

A really great place to stay. It's not in the center of things so it's quiet and comfortable. We walked absolutely everywhere and everything was about 15 min away walking, meaning Las Ramblas, Passeig de Gracia, etc. The metro station is ON THE CORNER, so we got to take daytrips really easily. There are plenty of little restaurants around and a tiny supermarket half a block up. The price was great for what we got. The staff was very helpfull with anything and the maids where amazing!!!!! We took the train from the airport to the hotel which was pretty easy to do, just don't have too much luggage, but if needed a taxi is about 25 euros. The neighborhood is not touristy at all, so you can escape the bustle of all the craziness. WE LOVED IT!!!! I think when we were there we were the only people in the floor (only 4 rooms per floor) so it was really quiet, mind you I could see if there are more people around there might be more noise but not too much. We would definately come back to this hotel. Best sleep I've had in months!!!!

After I booked a hotel I sent them an e-mail to get some information. They replied to me at once. During our stay it began to rain, once. We found some umbrellas at entrance to use free. The staffs are kind. When I asked an information of tourism bus at the reception, the reception gave us discount tickets for the bus. So I think it will be better to ask them before when you have some plan.

My wife and I had a wonderful time on our visit to Barcelone, and staying in you aparthotel realy made it most enjoyable, I will strongly recommend this a place to stay, all important sights were with-in a short taxi or walk away from the hotel, if we requested anything not supplied with the room it was given very quickly with no problem, once again I cannot thank your staff enough and for sure I will be making another visit to your hotel

I loved staying at this hotel. The rooms are pretty big compared to ones I've seen in other European countries. Our room had a living room, small kitchen, a bedroom and a big bathroom. The bathroom had a hair dryer and toiletries like a shaving razor, etc. I really enjoyed having the refrigerator in the kitchen because we bought some drinks and snacks from the SuperSol grocery store around the corner and filled it up. It saved us some money. I think this supermarket closes around 8pm but there is a smaller shop towards the Metro that is open until midnight if you need it. There aren't a ton of restaurants nearby, but the bakery down the street is really nice and cheap. We did though have some great paella at a place called Santiaguino about 3 blocks away. It's near the Hospital Clinic Metro stop. It's so close and that's definitely the best part about the hotel. We bought a 3-day metro pass, so it was easy to just come back to the hotel for a break. Definitely a nice option during the hot summer month of July. The receptionists were so helpful. They had great recommendations.

An excellent apartment near metro, good shops, including coffee and bread shops, a supermarket and good eateries. Roadworks were going on outside which were noisy. The type of user should also include mother/daughter & father/son.

This hotel is a great choice if you're looking for value and comfort in a quiet neighborhood. Although we had no view, we appreciated the quiet of not being on the street and made good use of the kitchenette for breakfasts and snacks. The hotel is one block from the Metro and the walk to main attractions is manageable. We thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent there.

The best place we stayed during our 3 weeks in Europe and the least expensive. The rooms were quite high-tech. The location was wonderful--half a block from the metro station, a variety of good eateries nearby as well as a grocery store to stock your cupboards. Although the hotel provides free wi-fi(?) internet connection if you have your own device, my teenage son rented a computer with internet access for 1.5 euros/hour around the corner. We enjoyed being away from the Ramblas and hordes of tourists.

A truely nice and quiet hotel. It might not be located directly next to the tourist attractions but this is not a problem since a subway-station is right outside the hotel. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

I booked this hotel after reading all the reviews on the internet but I must say that I was a bit dissapointed with this hotel. The rooms are great and really clean, the staff were very helpful as well but I would not call this an actual hotel. Room service was not available at all times so when we wanted tea we had to go downstairs and get a cup from the vending machine in the lobby. Other than that the stay was a pleasent one.

wonderful choice for staying in barcelona. the room was very comfortable. we had our breakfast in a nearby coffee shop, since the breakfast price was too high for our taste. location can be compenstated by using the metro. we recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in barcelona.
