I would stay there again but next time request a room at the back. The first two nights I was at the front and the carousing from the bars went on late ... also better airconditioning in the renovated part. Would be good to have kettles and tea in all rooms.

Excellent value for money and the right location for the Koh San Road. When we returned to Bangkok for one night the room was of poorer quality. Beware the taxi desk in the foyer which is definitely a rip off to the airport, in sub standard, ancient wrecks with no seat belts; get a cab outside on the metre or haggle for half the price.The hotel is disadvantaging its guests by allowing this operation on its premises

This is a landmark hotel on Kaosan Road, Bangkok. If you can afford some comfort and quietness, this is a good choice. The hotel surrounding is none-other-than Kaosan, which may or may not affect your traveling inclinations; but eating out is of the least problem and the loud music on the streets is negiligible if you are a guest in this hotel.
