Hotel was as advertised price, quality and location to the local attractions, most everything was a 5-10 min enjoyable stroll. The breakfast was great, typical European breakfast and with an abundance of food. Parking is limited, as advertised, the hotel is in the center of it all so understandable. Recommend you stop first to check in, drop off luggage then go park to save yourself lugging luggage and bags from the nearby parking garage (3 blocks or so). There is an onsite garage but with literally 8 or so spots. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The Hotel is app. 10 minutes by foot to the thermal baths. Due to a system glitch we got the second night for only 10€. Excellent.

Spent two days at hotel Merkur. The location is perfect, central to bath houses and casino. Hotel was very cosy and sparkling clean. Very satisfied with the service, the breakfast, and the city. Had a wonderful stay at the Merkur.
