Rafaelhoteles Badalona - Badalona, Barcelona

First time in Badalona, was far from the airport (about €40). Was also a fair way from Barcelona - 15min walk to Badalona train station which was okay, but 11 stops to get close to the city and then you still have to change to another train to get to La Ramblas. Good thing about the train line is that La Sagrada Familia and Placa de Gracia is on the same line. Unfortunately one staff we dealt with twice was terrible. He looked like he was 15 and made up answers to any question we asked - I quickly clues on that he didn't understand English, or know the answers to our questions even if we spoke Spanish. He did manage to tell me that he had only been in Badalona/Barcelona for 2 months. The other staff we dealt with were friendly, so this kid brought down the whole experience. One of the biggest gripes was that we had no free wifi - for a business type of hotel you'd think that wifi was a given but it cost €3 for one hour or €8 for 24hrs. I've been travelling from country to country for a few weeks now and every single place I've stayed at have offered free wifi except this one. I've even stayed in some dirty hostels in Hong Kong and they offer free wifi! Wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you need to be in Badalona and someone's paid for your accommodation. If you're visiting for Barcelona, then for the price you could find something that might not be as clean but at least in a far superior location than this.

Globally , I was very satisfied with this hotel. Nevertheless, I booked a room for three persons and the space was not very convenient for three. The situation of the hotel to go to barcelona w/o car is quite good because there's a subway station at 10 mn by foot of the hotel.
