Very convenient location to major sighseeing. Restaurants nearly. Safe surroundings. Only dissatisfaction is the hotel was under renovation and window could not be opened but the web mentioned nothing of it. Also lighting in room could be brighter.

The hotel is very well located but suffers therefore from the noise (also during the night) which one has to get to used to it.

Staff friendly but the hotel shabby and hostel like. We were only stopping one night but would have walked out if were stopping any longer. The room was run down, very small and buried in the centre of the building with no windows or light at all. I do not know what the other rooms are like but if you are offered room 107 - leave. A shame as the hotel is in a perfect position in the old part of Avignon.

I do recommend on that hotel. The hotel has wonderful place at the heart of the old city and a reasonable price. The rooms are greater then what we could expect a 2 stars hotel. There is also a separation between WC and the shower. But I suggest that the hotel would give more information about traffic and parking which are very difficult in an old city. I do not recommend on breakfasts at the hotel. There are cheaper options near the hotel.

Not the Ritz but perfectly fine for a multi-day visit to Avignon. Room bare bones but clean and comfortable. Location superb, just a few steps from the town's central square. Within walking distance from the central train station (not the TGV station). Town and setting are beautiful and fascinating; papal palace is a great visit.

Excellent location, very small rooms, but this is what I find in France, so no big surprise. Lots of car horn noise on Friday night in the city center. Very basic room and bath fo not too much money. Would stay again for a day or two.

I have been rather impressed. Some of the employees were really nice, helpful and multilingual. The rooms were clean, and I asked for a room behind the building instead of the rooms on the side of the roads, to avoid traffic and night noises. Therefore I was in a calmer environment. Internet connection through wifi is unfortunately only available down stairs. When the elevator is not functioning for the third and fourth floor, it is sometimes an inconvenience to go up and down just for consulting emails. Other then this, the hotel is very well located and is practical. I recommend this hotel. But at the same time the owners should do some efforts for the elevator, mainly for the cleaners to assume there work properly and with less noise.

Regina Hotel is gets an odd mixed review from me. I love that the room I had looked out to the Papal Palace from a perfect balcony. It was easy to find and had a location that can't be beat. It has a charming building and rooms with lots of space. Why then, would it allow shower curtains to be covered with mildew and mold? Why would it tolerate a staff that seems to resent your visit in every way? This hotel should be a great place to stay, but it's not worth the price with it's current level of service and cleanliness. Avignon is a small city, find any hotel within the city center walls and you'll be within a 10 minute walk to anything in the city. The last thing I'll say is that a 20Euro bill came up missing during the visit. It was emergency money tucked away in a coin purse and not taken outside the hotel room. I have no real proof it was stolen from the room but I would be careful leaving anything in the room without taking precautions.

Very good location, just close the main monuments and the train station. I didn't have breakfast in the hotel (there are many fine bars around it). Good room, the bathroom could have been better.

Everytime the elevator was used, my room shook. The room smelled of mildew. I left after one night and shouldn't have even stayed that long.

A good deal for the money. Great convenient location. The rooms are quite small but they're clean and fine. Note: the breakfast is NOT free. They set it out as if it were included, but they charge you eight euro a breaky... not worth it. You'd be better off getting better coffee and pastry at a cafe.

The info said it had parking at 7 Euros per night. This was true, but it did not say that it was a public car park a considerable distance from the hotel and almost impossible to find through Avignon's narrow one way streets. They really should either make this VERY clear or not advertise parking at all. The hotel is very well located next to the main square. It is a typical dingy French 2 star and quite good value as it is relatively cheap.A good place to stay provided you don't have a car.

The employees were very helpful. We also thought the breakfast was very good and saved us from having to find a place open early in the morning. They have modern fans in the rooms. However, the rooms do need more lamps next to the beds for night reading.

Very conveniently located for major 'attractions', shopping, restaurants and rail/bus links. Very comfortable and unpretentious with pleasant, non-intrusive staff. Can be a bit noisy at night (but that goes with the central location). Excellent value.

Hotel was not what we had expected. It was quite old and in need of upgrading and repainting. We did not get any sleep the first night due to excessive noise from the street. The Hotel however changed our room.
