The location is great, right in the middle of the town. The room is very small but I considered cozy although we don't think it is too clean. The bathroom is very small so be prepared. The breakfast is just ok but with the price reasonable price.

This hotel is very closed to most of major attractions in Avignon. Hotel room was very small and washroom was extremely small (even in European stanadard). Even when I brush my teeth, I had a huge problem moving around inside the washroom. Hotel room was very noisy. It even woke me up several times at night. This hotel does not have elevator. Stair was very narrow. If you get a room on 2nd or 3rd floor, you will have very difficult time carrying your baggage to your room one at a time. I chose this hotel because the price was reasonable at 84 euros for triple room and location was good. But if I visit Avignon next time, I will pay more and choose another hotel. My next destination was Nimes. I paid 90 euros for my hotel at Nimes for triple room. The room was very nice and spacious with a big washroom.

Lovely hotel inside wonderful city! Though it does not have parking (no hotels do in Avignon that i know of!), it is only about 200m from the entrance to the underground parking area. The room was comfortable, the bed relaxing and the room clean. The service was good. We really enjoyed staying here.

I was at Hotel Migon for a week. The location is the best possible in Avignon--walked to everything--even at night; the price was excellent for that area. Serge & Suzy were kind & helpful. The unlimited croissant, tartine, juice, and cafe-au-lait 6 euro breakfast was worth it. The rooms were basic, but quiet & bed comfortable. Small bathroom--but it's a medieval building, so it's to be expected. Nothing fancy, but was fine for me.

The gentleman who seemed to be the proprietor was outstanding. A negative was the lack of friendliness of the younger woman who was on duty at times. It does not have an elevator. Hotel Mignon is outstandingly well located. Our stay there was a pleasure once we got out suitcases wrestled up the stairs.

I really liked this tiny hotel. It was cool, clean and nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and the shower fitting a bit basic, and there were no frills like minibars or tea making facilities and no lift (no space!) - just the essentials. The patron was very pleasant, welcoming, helpful and friendly. The location was superb.

We stayed two nights in Avignon. The location of the hotel is fantastic and I would highly recommend the hotel. I would choose a room with a slightly larger bathroom in the future; in the room in which we stayed it was difficult to wash your hands since the bathroom was on a slightly raised platform and the toilet was on an angle.

Room was small, but that was expected for this part of Europe. Room was clean, quiet and functional, the WIFI was the best we had anywhere in Europe. Position of hotel is close to resaurants and all local touoris attractions (within walking distance). Owners of hotel were exceptionally helpful and polite (any time we asked for coffee it was made with a smile and we were never charged ...we did travel out of season). Over all if I returned to Aviginon I would have no hesitation in staying at this hotel again.

Very nice and quiet hotel with airco, situated in the city center. Close to the important sites. We were staying with three friends (women) in one room, size of the room was not big but ok, tiny bathroom but functional (and there was also a common toilet on the hallway). Friendly staff.

Lovely small B & B with very helpful and warm welcome from the owners. This is a tiny, well kept property, with a quaint, gently worn but very homey feel. In view of the high euro, it is a very nice option for the budget conscious traveller. The bed was good, the room quiet and very clean and the owners could not have been more kind. The location was superb, on a quiet street of 17th and 18th century buildings very close to main shopping and dining areas. Excellent coffee and rolls for breakfast, and staff helpful with tour bookings

The location of Hotel Mignon is very good; within easy walking distance of the bus and train stations and also very close the main attractions of Avignon. The room was very quiet. The hotel also has internet access for its guests. There is no lift so guests need to be prepared to carry luggage up several flights of stairs. The hotel staff are very friendly and accomodating - we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out so we could enjoy the afternoon in Avignon prior to leaving on a late afternoon bus.

Excellent location in Avignon. The patron was very helpful and spoke very good english (his night manager did not). He offered us a choice of rooms which was nice. The room was a little tired, in need of refurbishment, particularly the carpets. As expected, the bathroom was miniscule - butt on john, feet in the bedroom, and numerous elbow bruises from the use of the shower. The hotel's confirming email said one night's deposit would be charged to credit card one week before arrival and it would be non-refundable. However, upon check-out staff said that did not the case. That was confusing and I left not knowing if I paid for the first night twice. Best to check this out upon arrival with the owner, not the night manager. The hotel should amend it's confirmation email. Availability of free email in the lobby was a great plus. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but might pay a few Euros more elsewhere for a nicer room.

The hotel manager was very nice. As others have said, the rooms were very small and not updated. The breakfast was sparse, coffee and croissants. This was my least favorite hotel of my stay. Also, it was necessary to park in a public lot which was expensive. I understand that the manager had a parking arrangement which was less expensive with a lot, but it was farther away, and since it was cold, we decided to forgo that option. As I said though, the manager was welcoming and helpful.

Not sure why it's a one star. Sure, the room and bathroom weren't the largest, but they provided all the amenities we needed, which included a/c, free wifi, and a French continental breakfast. The location was fantastic, located near upscale shopping so that at night, the neigborhood quieted down nicely, but only 3 blocks from tons of restaurants and bars, and just a little further to the Papal Palace. The owners were very accommodating, and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic location, welcoming staff (the manager - but his wife was frosty / unfriendly). Nice room for the price but the bathroom is a cupboard and far too small for any grown person over 5ft 2 - so OK for me, but not for most people! So - fine if you don't mind not washing!

Perhaps the most friendly of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip (and that is saying something). Make no mistake, the rooms are small, but they are very comfortable and very clean, and the staff will go out of their way for you. The hotel is well placed to see Pont-de-Benezet and Palais-de-Papes, and although across town from the train station, the compact nature of Avignon means it is still only a ten minute walk from the hotel to either the train station, or the TGV station shuttle bus. At the end of the day, especially given how reasonably priced the hotel is, I would recommend Hotel Mignon strongly to anyone going to Avignon.

The location is quite good although Avignon is a small town and all the sightseeing places are in walkable distance from any hotel in the town. The toilet is the smallest one I've ever seen, however, compare with the price, you can't really complain too much though.

We were quoted a price on the website which we accepted but as a request we asked for twin beds. When we came to check out the hotel did try to charge us more for a room with twin beds as most rooms were just a double, but it never stated on the website that a request could alter the price, and I feel the hotel should contact a future guest immediately if the request could lead to an alteration of price.

Great hospitality, nice breakfast area, super location within the walls of Avignon and close to everything by foot. Parking is available close to hotel in Palais de Papes parking for 7 Euros a night which was very reasonable considering parking prices in Europe. Staff are v gracious. Internet available right on premises which was great for decent price. NO A/C during hot spell which made sleeping a little trickier, but overall stay was v pleasant and good price overall.

A very small but very nice decorated room, big window, very quiet. "Monsieur" was extremeley friendly and helpful. We found the room provided totally inadequate and unacceptable and in fact left after the first night (for which we paid a bill amounting to 120 Euros). The room was claustrophobic and overwhelming due to the decor, there was no view except onto building walls only feet from our window, and worst of all, was the bathroom which was minscule with a sliding door which swung outwards and would not close if someone used the toilet because of the angles of the toilet, basin and hand-held shower unit. We could not unpack our bags as the cupboard space provided was totally inadequate both for the actual opening and unpacking and for storage of garments. The room was probably adequate for a single young backpacker, but certainly not for a couple requiring any degree of privacy or comfort. We slept very little (although the bed itself was reasonably comfortable)and could not contemplate 5 nights in that room. We were told that all the rooms were the same, and if this is so, it certainly does not live up to the description of "chic"! We moved to Hotel Mercure (Cite des Papes)where we enjoyed a spacious balcony room overlooking the central square and close by the Papal Palace, which admittedly cost us more, but was infinitely better value.

The Hotel Mignon lives up to its name: a cute little hotel right in the heart of Avignon, only a few minutes' walk from the Place de l'Horloge and the Palais des Papes, and less than 15 minutes on foot from the Avignon Centre train station. Its main advantages are the location, the very friendly welcome, and the continental breakfast (fine coffee, good croissants, and better than average baguettes). Our room was small but not tiny; it had a tiny bathroom (toilet, sink, shower) and a small closet. The furniture and decor was clean but a little bit threadworn. The rue Joseph Vernet is busy during the day but quiet at night; our room was on the first floor, but the double-pane window muted most of the street noise. I would not recommend the Mignon to someone who intended to spend lots of time in the room, but as a base for for exploring the old city, it was great; it was easy to return to the hotel to drop off or pick up stuff or to relax a bit after sightseeing. The proprietor speaks English well, though we communicated mostly in French.

Bedroom and bathroom were incredibly clean. The room was rather small, but that is to be expected. The only complaint we had was that the maid service kept rearranging our things - on the sink in the bathroom, on our nightstand, on the table... for no apparent reason. We eventually starting keeping everything in our suitcases because we were unsure what was going on. Also, the door to the bathroom was paper thin and very difficult to open/close - not much privacy as a result. Also, the hairdryer was permanently affixed to the wall and was gross - sticky and smelled bad. Other than that, the hotel was what you expect to get for such an economical rate. I would consider staying here again.

The rooms are 'cute' as the name suggests, a little small, but perfect for a night or two in a great location with friendly owners. A warning, if you plan to watch French TV, the TV was mounted really high up on the wall, so be prepared to crane your neck.

The very best to say about this property is location, location, location. Situated within the walls the location just doesn't get any better. To make the parking situation very easy Mignon is location very near a secured parking structure. In fact when you park there for E10.50 per day use the elevator and you exit onto the street above about 8 small storefronts down the street to Mignon's front door. It is very easy to schlep your luggage from the lot to the hotel or there is a small place to unload directly across the narrow street from the front door. The parking lot access is from outside the walls. The price includes a nice continental breakfast you may have in the breakfast room or they will deliver to your room. Rooms are small, the bathroon quite small but both very adequate. The rooms and hotel was clean.
