They run a professional business are try very hard to please their guests. Very central to all activities in Avignon. Would refer anyone with confidence.

neg.: There is a lot of streetnoise during the night and the early morning. Hotel is too pricy for that kind of comfort, it is not a two stars hotel. pos.: right in the center of the old town.

great location. lovely facade. stayed in a triple room which was basic but clean. though our room was not facing the main street, still got a little noisy after midnight with a bar across the alley & early in the morning when some cleaning vehicles passed by.

Hotel is located in central Avignon and as a result is quite noisy at night. For parking, you need to use one of Avignon's municipal parking lot and Les Halles is the closest. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Rooms and area were average to good. Rooms was very noisy, there is a night club in the alley way next door. Some rooms overlook it (ours), and very very noisy. Other rooms are away and probably well sheltered. Area is very good and convenient to major historical sites/centre.

We requested twin beds but were given a triple room so had plenty of space. Towels were changed daily. Hotel had nice breakfast area and also internet which although expensive to use was convenient. No elevator and our room was quite a distance from reception thru many doors and halls but this gave us a nice quiet time during our stay.

The location of this hotel is great. Right in the main street and walking distance from the attractions and restaurants etc. The hotel itself is a little tired, but the rooms are clean and the room rates are reasonable. A good place to stay.

Great position, in one of the main streets in Avignon. During the Avignon Festival it's impossible to park near the hotel, but there are cheap parkings in the proximity. Great for position, not so good for price / quality offered. Breakfast was poor

Great location, friendly front desk. Very close to the Metro stop with weekend neighborhood markets nearby. Nice to be able to return to a low-key neighborhood after attending many tourist attractions during the day.

The staff were always helpful, the room was relatively large for an old building. The stairwell was being painted in 2 very bright colours and it was a long walk up 2 flights with our suitcases. The room was blissfully quiet especially for the very central location.

Hotel was well located. They need to put shower curtains in the bathrooms. They had hand held shower heads in large bathtubs, but water sprayed everywhere. Wireless internet was very expensive and didn't work half the time. We loved Avignon and had a wonderful time over all.

The hotel is still in construction making changes and the room was poorly furnished. We reduced our stay to one night.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was typically European small but very clean and nicely furnished. They currently are under new ownership and are planning renovations, which were beginning in the breakfast room.

This place was a jewel. Great location, really helpful staff and a huge room(which is a real surprise in France). This place was great value for money

It's highly not recommended. As a matter of fact, I have never stayed in this hotel and so I prefer to give 5 in each category. I still remember when I arrived there with my family, the hotel staff said they didn't have our reservation record. Even though I showed them the confirmation letter downloaded from the Internet, they didn't accept it. They were unwilling to offer any help. We had to look for another hotel in Avignon on our own. Finally we managed to find a hotel with vacant rooms but that hotel was a nightmare to us. I didn't blame that hotel. I'm still very disappointed and angry at the irresponsibleness of Hotel Danieli.

The pictures on the web are of the front of the building -- the actual hotel is in the back half, on a narrow street which was quite busy all night long. I found the price of the hotel to be high compared with others we had stayed in. There is no parking close by. And the lady at the desk was quite insulting a couple of times. Although the hotel itself was adequate, I doubt I would go back for more ill treatment.

Great position really in the center of Avignon. The room was ok. No airconditioning though. Large bathroom with a bath. The corridors a bit dark and narrow. Hard / impossible to park near the hotel due to its central position. We have parked for free just outside the old city center wall, a 5 - 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

A not to clean hotel, small space. Mosquitos and spiders. Towels minimal, bathrooms clean but shower did not work as shower. Tiles broken...lots of stairs, no lift. Very well located but other hotels in the same area were equal to price and cleaner, largers rooms with lifts. Of the hotels we stayed in from Venere.com this was the worst choice.

Hotel Danieli is clean and comfortable and the staff are lovely. But a shortage of budget accommodation in Avignon means you pay more for less. Breakfast is expensive at €8. The decor has been commented on by previous reviewers, and although it's very floral, it is in keeping with the Provencial theme.

I was very happy with my stay and would definitely return in the future. Everyone at hotel was extremely nice, helpful and accomodating.

The hotel room was relatively basic, but comfortable apart from an air conditioning unit that was completely unable to cope with the heat levels that day (about 26 degrees at night). This did nothing more than redistribute warm air around the room and provided no cooling function that we could tell, leading to a poor night's sleep. The hotel management also seems to have a weird preoccupation with dolls, which are scattered around the dimly-lit corridors and staircases in prams and on chairs, giving a vaguely sinister and creepy feel to the place.

David was great for my husband and I along with our two friends. He gave us great insight on the French culture and we all had a great time talking to him. He was very personable and was part of the reason why we had such a great time in Avignon.

This hotel was very well located and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our only reservation about this hotel was that the room was extremely small. It had two single beds with a king size headboard and that pretty much filled the room. There was a good bathroom (European style shower) and adequate storage space for clothing. If you wanted to sit and have a drink or write postcards, you could do it in the lobby sitting room. If you stayed in the room, you were pretty much confined to sitting on the bed. The location was excellent. I'm not sure whether we would stay there again or spend a little more money on a fancier hotel.

Hotel Danieli is indeed situated centrally, a walk from the station along one of those ubiquitous C19 neo- Baroque republican boulevards. A dingy, dusty foyer leads into a nightmare lobby of chintzy fabrics lining walls and columns, backdrop to a disturbing installation of straw art, dolls and neon-haired clowns. The plasterboard rooms were probably last decorated in 1982, in 2-tone tangerine, with yellow and green. The feel is cheap- no historic or period features. Given a twin room rather than a double. Noise levels OK except for hollering drunkards on a Saturday night 'Je t'aime.. tu es mon ami...'(etc, ad lib): the hotel cannot be blamed for that by-product of its central location. The staff were very friendly and not the sort you'd expect to be into clown dolls. Advised by an ex- tourist info lady that one can get better value for the price. Didn't try the breakfast- though they may be good value- as pavement cafes seemed more enticing. It's a beautiful town- save up and stay at the exceptional Hotel Mirande.

Unfortunately this Hotel has no garage and there is no enough space to park temporary your own car in front of it. All other features are very good.
