Hotel Cube - Villeneuve-lès-Avignon, Avignon

Really an exellent stay. Minibar in room terrace with a good wiev on Rodane. Really very good.

This is a great little hotel! We stayed in a junior suite (one queen-sized bed and one double) with our two teenagers. The gentleman at the reception was extremely welcoming and gave us a terrific recommendation for dinner. The breakfast was good value for money and the view of Avignon from the terrace was lovely. The only drawback are the train tracks directly behind the hotel -- even with double-glazing, it can be very noisy. If you're a light sleeper, be warned, but otherwise, Hotel Cube offers excellent value for money, and we would definitely stay here if we were to visit the area again.

It's really an amazing hotel with beautiful window or balcony scenery. It's located near the riverside and hotel surrouding circumstans is quiet. The lady in reception was very warmheated and recommened us quite a few wonderful resturants in Avignon old city. Room is cute and cozy. I love this hotel very much and wish to come again one day.

Friendly staff; they organized taxis, when we needed them and gave us advice on places to eat nearby. Great terrace with view over the Rhone to Avignon and the Pope's Palace, where you have breakfast. You can use it at any time up to 9 pm or so. It is about 20 minutes walk up to Villeneuve, which is very pleasant and worth going to. Also 20 minutes walk across the bridges into Avignon. There is a bus but it stops in the evening and doesn't run on Sunday. The distance is about the same as most of the new hotels from the main sights, so don't let that put you off.

Not as good as those description on the site. Especially when we need to catch the early train in the morning, the owner seemed to be very unhappy because he had to go to the hotel earlier.

Even though this hotel doesn't locate in Avignon city, still is a very convienent location to reach 2 cities.

Fantastic welcome and excellent information provided by manager about things to do in Avignon, and especially restaurant recommendations. Hotel is located quite near main road/bridge and a railway line, but generally the room was quiet. We were a little disappointed with the view from the "junior suite" that was more on the side of the hotel. The hotel is probably best for people with a car - the walk across the two bridges is longer than it looks on the map. We enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace, although the coffee was not very nice (sorry, but true).

Great value place to stay. We stayed for 2 days, the owners were very helpful and welcoming. They gave good recommendations for places to see and restaurants. This is not in the center of Avignon. It is walkable or an easy drive though and there is a wonderful view from their roof terrace. A couple of points of note. It is close to a rail line so there was some noise from this. Ours was a room at the back, so it was more acute here. It was not anything that was too loud though. Overall though, great value for money and would recommend

This is a wonderfully stylish hotel. Only small but great attention to detail. Real bathrooms, single rooms are compact but everything you need is available. Breakfast in the rooftop dining area looking towards Avignon is great value. I loved this place. Take care with the bus. The bridge that you cross in the bus is in two parts and you need to get off at the second stop just as the bus finishes crossing the second half of the bridge. It is immediately in front of a railway line but I wasn't disturbed during the night.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only negative was our balcony overlooked the chimney of a pizza restaurant and the fumes meant the balcony was not usable and the room door needed to be shut

We stayed two times in this hotel for our outward and return journey in the south of France. Positive: The hotel is situated on the other side of the Rhone (Villeneuve-l.-A.), by feet about 10 minutes walk over two bridges to the city and the highlights of Avignon. Very practically! Very friendly staff!!! You can stay here for one or two nights, but no longer, simple air-conditioning system (a little bit to loud) Very good breakfast for 9 Euro/person in a breakfast room or on the terrasse of the hotel, nice view to Avignon, if possible take a room to the Rhone side, these rooms are much more quiet and a bit more comfortable (extra bathroom and larger). Negative: Very simple rooms on the the other side, railway line (sometimes loud, beds only 1,40 m x 2,00 m, bathroom/toilet in the room, less separated), the pictures of Venere are to beautiful, fall short of our's expectations, conclusion: simple rooms for less money, clean and practically situated, possible for a short time

Our party of four thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Cube. We found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and in a good, quiet location. Having a good breakfast on the terrace each morning was a bonus. An upgrade to the rooms facing the river is well worth paying for.

Very gentle employees. charming 70's style hotel, close to the centre of avignon (10 minutes on foot). I will come back for sure!

Room was quite big and nice but a bit noisy (the hotel is near the rail-way and the street). Staff was kind but they wrong to give us the code to enter at night and we had some problems. The city of Avignon was very pretty and the hotel is near to the center (15 min by feet).

Very greeting staff, especially manager at the reception desk. The location is great for visiting Avignon - just 10-15 minutes by walk through 2 bridges and you are in front of old town's gates. Very beautiful view from the balcon if you choose the river side room.

The welcome and service at this hotel was excellent. Good location, close to walled city. Triple room lacked natural light, only small window but was spacious (2 bedrooms). Fun decor. A little noisy as train track close by but not a huge problem. Would stay here again and recommend to others.

I recieved the warmest and most informative welcome of my 1 month stay in Europe at Le Cube. Le Cube is ideally situated to enjoy Villeneuve-les-Avignon and Avignon. A 10 minute walk across the two bridges and you were looking at the Pont de Avignon and the walls of Avignon. It was great to return each day to a comfortable room with a small private balcony with a view of the Rhone and the barges working the river. Although there is no elevator a staff member quickly offered to carry my bags up to the 3rd floor. My suggestion to visitors would be explore Villenueve-les-Avignon first as I left it to last and didnt have enough time to thoroughly enjoy this town (which has plenty of character), the cafes and sites. I would definetly return to Le Cube.

L'albergo è stato difficile da trovare ed è distante dalla città (sconsigliato assolutamente a chi è senza automobile). Alla reception spesso non c'è nessuno e bisogna aspettare. il parcheggio riservato è limitato a pochi posti e bisogna lasciare in consegna le chiavi, ma data la posizione si trova facilmente posto in strada. Il personale parla solo francese. in camera asse del water rotto, unico rotolo di carta igienica (non intero) un solo telo doccia per due. non abbiamo sperimentato la colazione. il rapporto qualità-prezzo non è adeguato. non tutte le informazioni sul sito sono corrette. non ci torneremo.

We spent 3 nites here and were made to feel very welcome. we received great help with directions on driving out of the city to the countryside. the owners have made a real effort to create a boutique hotel-the furnishings were very modern and attractive and there was a bed and breakfast warmth from the owners. we walked across the 2 bridges (15 mins) into avignon (beautiful walled city), walk back felt long, but we loved our location and from our room we had a great view of the palais des papes. only criticism was that there seemed to be a sewage issue in the hotel and our bathroom reeked (but hopefully it was temporary?)

The staff were helpful and organised dinner at a lovely restaurant in town. We were picked up and dropped back at the hotel free of charge. It takes a little bit longer than 10 mins to walk into Avignon. It was extremely windy the day we were there. The GPS was great to get to the hotel and a car was necessary to visit nearby areas.

Room was a little rundown, (wall paper peeling), older furnishings banged up somewhat. Noisy airconditioner unit on wall. Convenient to the old city of Avignon.. about 0.5 km across two bridges to city gate. Limited parking.

The directions for getting to the hotel were not specific enough so after arriving at the correct bus stop I had to wander and ask people where the hotel was. Hotel is a bit of a walk from the old city center. The manager is excellent and was very helpful and accomodating. I never could get the wireless internet to work on my computer but he graciously let me use his. He couldnt have been sweeter. The restaurant in front was superb.
