I have never stayed in a dirtier place, where even the air is unbreathable. Mold growing in the bathroom, cigarette burns all over the floor, walls smeared with only God know what near the bed; bed spread with wholes and torns. A disgusting feeling all around.Terrible! The worst hotel thus far in my life (almost 59 years old).

Room was in need of refurbishment. Shower was disgusting. Carpets need cleaning. Bed cover was dirty and we removed it from the bed. Chose only due to location near train.

Even venvere showed that the tax had been included in the price but it turned out to be the opposite. So it made the price and the quality a bit poort. The room is generally nice and staff at the hostel are amiable and helpful but the shower room is the smallest one i have ever seen in my life! i could barely stand there without moving when showering. Let alone those big westerners....

Hotel in a center of Avignon, rooms quite noisy because of narrow streets which carryes noise longer. Shampoo not provided. Cleaning of the room was quite poor. Hotel does NOT hold the prices as booked over Venere. Keep your copy of booking confirmation!

We referred to the room as 'the smoke box'. It was tiny, and the room, linen, bathroom, and anything that went in the room absolutely REEKED OF CIGARETTES/CIGARS. Location was the only decent thing.

The hotel is on the main thoroughfare of the old town, convenient to Avignon Centre station and for walking around the historic areas. The room was poorly decorated and badly needed repainting with a new colour scheme. It was small compared to other hotel rooms at the same price. Breakfast was ok, but the room was cramped.

While described as "typical Provencal decor" the dark blue walls and bright orange trim of the bedrooms was actually more depressing than charming. The private bathroom was not particularly clean - I used a couple of the extra towels (which were, not surprisingly, less than luxurious) as bath mats (in the absence of an actual bath mat). The fact that you can walk from the train station (even with luggage) is a huge plus for this hotel. While on the main street, the street traffic was not particularly noisy, but the bar at street level was - yet this is quite typical for French hotels in urban centres.

Excellent location, close to train station and information centre, although it is above a karaoke bar so is a bit noisy at night. Room was small, not much air so very hot, and not terribly clean.

We traveled in France for several weeks and stayed in 5 different hotels/hostels. This is the only one that I would not revisit. The room smelled just awful and it was extremely noisy. I never felt clean, as the room seemed old and smelly. The toilet was lopsided and the shower did not drain. In my honest opinion, this place is way overpriced. Look elsewhere -- there has to be a better option!

Worst customer service ever. There's no light in the hallway, and the counter is not welcoming upon us arriving. Also, according to their service sheet in the room, there were brochures or maps prepared for customer at the counter. While we went over to ask for it, the guy told us to go get it ourselves from the tourism office across the street, with really bad attitude like we were asking too much for his service. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because there are other hotels around that area with better sevices.

A very small room - with little space on either side between the bed and the wall. The worst feature by far was the bathroom. We used the shower before going out in the evening and the water had not drained away at all the following morning. Reported it to staff but they did not come and try to unblock it during our stay - which thankfully was only 1 night.

The best possible location, only 3 minutes walk from the train station! Across the street is the Avignon Tourist Office where you can book all sort of Provence tours. The only thing is the bathroom, a bit outdated, though clean. Great value for money!

The hotel was ok, very near from all the city sights so you can go walking, which was great. The bad thing was that we could not sleep well because someone from the other room was watching TV all night, with the volume on top! (I don´t blame the hotel for that though.)

This was a nice place to stay especially for the price. I was with my husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. It is an older place, that is slightly run down (ie wallpaper old, etc) with thin walls, but the location is excellent, the price is good compared to other options, and the people were friendly. It is a fine place to lay your head for 3 days.

While the room was small, it was neat & cleaned daily. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful & provided useful tips on where to go - slightly off the main tourist track. The location is what makes it - very close to the station, & an easy walk to the attractions. Very noisy on weekend nights though

The location is perfect, right in the center where you can reach the old town and the pope palace within a few minutes walk. The rooms are relatively spacious and ok, but not quite as nice as it looks at the pictures, one bed in the 3-bed room was pretty fragile; the windowless bathroom was clean but had a very strong smell. Our rooms where at the main street side and therefore very noisy. Biggest disappointment was the offered parking which was one of the arguments why we choose this hotel. At the end they send you to an expensive public parking lot at the train station, about 5 min walk away. We did not try the breakfast since the breakfast room did not look promising at all. There are a lot of opportunities to take breakfast in brasseries and bistros around the hotel which are much nicer. All in all acceptable, but not the best ... however, it's perfectly located!

We were in Avignon for 6 days. The hotel was very comfortable and despite all the works being done on the street outside it was very quiet especially at night. We did not avail ourselves of breakfast but our rooms were always made up and the staff were extremely helpful. The hoterl is easy to get to from the railway station and close to the buses and main square and restaurants.

The place situated in the historical center is much comfortable one in order to visit every angle of Avignon. The hotel has the thin walls much and the water of the shower of the near room is felt also. The breakfast is not online with the price. The stranger thing is that the water close it remains in a various room from the shower, is impossible makes a bidet. Much confusion to the reception, above all in two days I have seen five faces various. My wife is intollerant to the cow's milk, has carried, to expenses ours, the soybean's milk and they have carried out it. This is incredible !!

Good budget hotel. Basic rooms with small breakfeast area. Breakfast is quite expensive at 6 euros. Friendley staff, clean rooms. Decor of rooms OK, but not fantastic. Rooms on front can be very noisy - bar next door can be noisy till 1am, plus busy main street.

I was very pleased with the hotel. At first it seemed kind of run-down, but the room was clean and the staff was helpful. The location is excellent and I ended up staying 3 nights and took day trips to Arles and Aix-en-Provence. I would also recommend a day-trip to Arles, it was fast and easy on the train. I would stay there again.

The hotel has an excellent location-only minutes from the main train station on the main street-Jean Jaures and is next to Maitre Kanter restaurant.People were very helpful in giving me directions. There is a tourist office and also a boulangerie across from the hotel. If you come by TGV train(different train station), take the Blue Bus from there to the other end -station LaPoste. From there the hotel is about 2-3 min. on foot (round the corner). The room was of reasonable size for me with a nice, modern bathroom,it was facing a side-street, with closed window the street noise level did not disturb me. The staff/owner was welcoming and very helpful, he let me keep the suitcase for another hour after checking out and let me stay downstairs until I re-bandaged my swollen foot before going to the train station. I would definitely go back.

The facility was very clean and the staff, such as I saw, was helpful and courteous. This is an old facility and things are breaking, such as the headboard on the bed, door knobs, sewer smell that drifts up occasionally. And it is cramped into a very narrow space in downtown. It is very handy to the central railway station, tourist office, places to eat and a nice park.
