I strongly recommend this hotel if you're going to Avignon. It's near everywhere. It's just across the information office so you can easily book tours. The restaurants and shops are only a few minutes on foot. The rooms are quite spacious and the staff was very helpfull and friendly. We would also advise you to choose Avignon as a base if you want to make all the tours-especially the lavender,Van Gogh, wine and the Cesanne tours.

It is a well located hotel, near all the historical places, but far from the TGV station; it is necessary to take a bus to get the hotel. The room is very spacious and clean, but the breakfast is not cheap, so we decided not to take it.

Greatly appreciated the parking service provided - streets are narrow. Recently remodeled, lovely rooms. Great location, lots of restaurant and store option, and close to tourist attractions.

My mother and I stayed in Avignon 2 nights and LOVED this hotel. From the extremely friendly and helpful staff to the quiet room, we had a marvelous time in Avignon. The location - just steps away from the SNCF train station and the Gare Routiere on the main street that takes you to the Pope's Palace - was fantastic. We could be anywhere in the city in minutes. My mother wants to return to the South of France and stay at this hotel and use it as a "home base" as we explore other parts of Provence. We liked it that much!!

Close to Promenade des Anglais with it beayty and hotels, from where we can, easyly to The Old Town with these good restaurants and shopping stores. The Hotel deserves the title of Boutique Hotel.

Hotel is convenient to all tourist attractions, but is average in all other aspects. Not great but not bad. Within the old city walls.

Stayed 3 nights, didn't take breakfast. Location is excellent, max 10 minutes to everything. Valet parking was excellent, always got our car on and off the street very quickly (we paid for this, of course). Room is basic, 2+ stars, but probably got 3 stars just because of the bidet! We enjoyed our stay!

Yes met the standard. Bristol was good. It was necessary to say that the TGV station was in a different location to the other station nearby. And that a shuttle bus was available at very cheap rates from the TGV station. Avignon meals areas were accessible from the Hotel in a nearby area and throughout the city

Poor and smelly room, where bedsheets went unchanged for the entire 3 nights of our stay. Bed itself was hard and uncomfortable. Would not stay again. You are better off staying in a hotel in Marseille and coming to Avignon for a day trip, as there is nothing to see there but the Papal Palace.

Clean, comfortable and in a great location. I advise guests not to park in the garage though -- there's free parking outside the ramparts.

We arrived on the last day of the annual music festival and this created a fun atmosphere. Lack of parking availability at hotel meant we had to use public car parking at a greater cost. However, the car park is very close to the hotel. Reception staff were excellent-helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast (as usual in hotels) was expensive-we ate at cafe opposite the hotel and had good value breakfast. Bathroom was clean but needed refurbishment and did not have a good shower. We had a front room with balcony and it was fun to watch the street life. I would stay here again.

The room was very basic but clean. The staff were very nice and the location is good. I stayed at this hotel during the popular Festival d'Avignon which explains why I felt that the cost was high for the quality of the room. It is hard to find rooms in Avignon within the walls during the festival. I had a room on the top floor on the back side so it wasn't noisy.

This hotel is great. From the local train station it's only about 2 blocks walk, and right on the main street so easy to get your bearings, but not noisy, bathroom is HUGE by euro standards, price is right, I would stay again in a minute if I were going to Avignon

The lady who was on the desk was delightful, efficient and helpful. Forgive us for not remembering her name. We felt the room could have used an updating to a brighter, cleaner look.

Everything was ok, except the main thing...extremely uncomfortable very, very old, long time ago to be a waste - BED! Staff was really nice and helpfull and the breafast is really good as well. Still, the bed was giving us headache! So please...change beds! One more thing...WiFi is unreasonably expensive. To be completely honest...everything in France is unreasonably more expensive then in other neighbour countries...I mean coffee, juices, souvenirs, ticket prices...only Monte Carlo is more expensive.

Nice and friendly staff. very close to the Train station and 15 minutes walk to all attractions. surrounded by lots of cafes. We liked it a lot and would be staying here if we went again and recommend to all. Specially very good experience with a young child.

This was only an overnight stay in Avignon, but we'll be back - and probably to the Bristol. The hotel restaurant is very good, very competent and friendly waiter served us, food was excellent. Hotel is very easy to find and ideal central location. We didn't have breakfast because it wasn't included in the price and was very expensive bought separately - much better to go to one of the many cafes just up the main street.

The hotel was ideally situated at the quiet end of Avignon's main street, meaning that everything was within walking distance. Parking is a problem if arriving in the evening, as the garage may be full.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were relatively spacious. The location is perfect. Short walk from the Avignon station (we took the short shuttle ride from the TGV station). Very close to all the attractions of Avignon.

Located in the main street of the old town, short walk to Palais des Papes and Pont St-Bénézet. Be sure to try the delicious restaurant Le Caveau du Théâtre - 16, rue des Trois Faucons.

Bristol is a solid 3-star hotel on the main street, just within the wall at the main gate and within easy walking distance of the train station (Gare Centrale) and the bus depot where the shuttle from the suburban TGV station drops passengers. There is an unusually large and nice lobby/sitting area. Front desk staff were helpful. Rooms were clean and reasonably spacious. Because it is within the walls, the hotel is in easy walking distance of the Palais du Papes and any other attractions in the old city. There is limited street noise in the street-side rooms, but it tends not to go on all night.

It was a fairly good hotel. The location is pretty good. Now that I have been to Avignon, it is a bit farther from the main sites. But I did not mind walking. And it is very close to the train station, which saved me a taxi fare. Breakfast was very good for the price compared to other hotels. It is a convenience offered at a price. My only complaint now that I am back is that it is a bit overpriced. But most of that is due to the weak dollar which made this room close to $150 oer night.

We've spent a really short but good time, it was actually what we had expected, even more. The location of this hotel is practical because it is easy to find, to park and to go walking through the old town of Avignon. Had a nice time and will probably come back again...

I had exchange of emails several times before arrival. The staff was very helpful and gave me quick response. They had offered me a reasonable price room even though it was the high season. I am very satisfied with the service of this hotel.

The Bristol is ideally located for travellers wanting to take the local train or catch a bus to the TGV station. Also, we were able to return a rental car just across the street from the hotel. There are many cafes/restaurants just a half-block away.

We took bust in from Avignon TGV station and hotel is less than 5 min walk from bus stop. Check-in was slightly slower than in some other hotels visited but not a problem. Public lounge area of hotel is very pleasant with comfortable chairs. Our room was very plain but big enough and the bathroom was large enough to party in. Room was clean and quiet. Did not breakfast in hotel choosing to visit some of restaurants in town. There is a bakery just across the road. Is 15 mins from Pope's Palace and other attractions and walk is pleasant through town square with number of eating places. Would choose hotel again.

E' un buon albergo situato all'ingresso delle mura che formano la cinta medievale della città. Facile da trovare, è l'ideale per lasciare la macchina nel garage dell'albergo e visitare tutta Avignone a piedi.

Very good hotel. Staff were particularly friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent. The valet parking and the use of the hotel's own parking facilities was especially appreciated ater a long drive.

We were very happy with the Bristol -- clean, quiet rooms (the quiet is important during the Theater festival!); a very convenient location, close to the SNCF Gare; and a very friendly, cheerful, helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again.
