Hotel Le Pressoir - Appoigny, Auxerre

The location of the hotel is near the highway. However, we did not notice a sign pointing our way from the highway to the hotel. So, it was hard to locate even with our car's GSP. Traffic noise from the highway can be loud depending on the location of your room. Breakfast was an extra 5 Euros per person. The coffee was okay -- that's it. It's not worth the extra 5 Euros. The hotel is okay for an overnight stop. Arrive late, leave early. There are a few restaurants in the village. Otherwise, you can have a meal at the hotel.

Di sicuro la posizione è comoda per spostarsi nella regione senza essere in città. Il problema sono le stanze, vecchie, sporche e con una orrenda moquette blu sulle pareti, ingiallita all'altezza del punto sopra il letto in cui si appoggiano le teste. Pareti basse che creano un senso di oppressione. Peli e sporcizia negli angoli, cucina per la mezza pensione completamente disordinata e anch'essa sporchissima. Non ci tornerò di sicuro!

The room was clean and the desk person was friendly. The hotel is definitely budget and the cheapest of the places we stayed in France but this showed in the quality of the accommodation. Some maintenance especially in the bathroom would be good. We are a no frills kind of people but no shower curtain and having to hold the shower head is even too basic for us.

An unpretentious hotel that provides good value accomodation, with a very warm welcome and helpful management. Good value for money.

i arrived after dinner had been served to the other guests but the chef stayed late to accomodate my meal. Though conveniently close to the motorway the hotel was quietly situated with the biggest disturbance a cockerel impatient for the dawn.
