Opened in April 2008, the Auckland City Hotel is situated on Hobson Street, right in the centre of Auckland's bustling entertainment and business district. This Auckland City Centre hotel's location is exactly as its name suggests, very central and within walking distance of the Sky Tower, Aotea Square, Auckland's waterfront and Victoria Park Market.

Booked 2 rooms. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded from a standard to deluxe room, only trouble was there were 4 of us and only 1 room! Staff went to alot of trouble to find a room next door to ours in a full hotel (Andre Rieu concert in town). Very friendly staff, great value for money. Would of liked to see spare blankets in rooms. Location so close to sky tower, viaduct and major shopping centre. Would recommend it to our friends and would stay there again.

We stayed at the Auckland City Hotel for 5 nights. We were pleasantly surprised at the hotel - considering the reasonable price. The staff was accomodating and most helpful. We liked the location as we were within walking distance to the harbor and very close to the sky tower area. There were very good restaurants within a couple of blocks. (The Mai Thai restaurant was excellent and we ate there for two of our dinners) --

Enjoyed the stay at Auckland City Hotel-Hobson Street. It is conveniently located to the Sky Tower and the main shopping street, which leads to the harbor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
