The Polis Grand Hotel enjoys a convenient location within a five-minute walk of the Omonia Square underground station, which provides quick and easy transportation when travelling around Athens and the surrounding areas.
The structure is a modern 9-floor building, featuring elegant furnishings and a comfortable, traditional environment. High standard services, as well as a number of on-site amenities are provided, including bar, restaurant, business centre and an outstanding roof garden with a magnificence view over Acropolis, Lycabettus and the city of Athens. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly, and makes sure that guests enjoy their stay.
Located within close proximity to many of Athens' downtown restaurants, bars and clubs, the hotel has a 24-hour reception and can organize car rental.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable with springs popping out and holes in the mattresses. The room size was so small we could not even open our suitcases. The staff were very friendly but we would NEVER stay there again. Don't believe the photos you see on the net.

We expected good quality services and hotel location for this price, also the rooms are not sound proof, the room services change the bed sheets every 3 days. This hotel is good for families.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the facilities and the staff. The rooms (I recommended it to fellow travelers who also were very happy with the choice) were clean and comfortable, the rooftop restaurant was a treat and every member of the staff was friendly and very helpful. A two block walk to the Metro enabled us to get anywhere we needed to go, and the National Archaeological Museum was a short 4 block walk away. The next time I go to Athens I will book the Polis Grand again.

this was the first time I stayed at this hotel and I was amazed! The hotel is great. The modern style and decoration is really cozy. The rooms are really spacious and clean.Even though, the carpets were really old. The view at the bar is awesome! and really cozy.
How to reach Polis Grand Hotel
By airplane
The Athens' Eleftherios Venizelos domestic and international airport lies approximately 25 km away from the hotel. The airport is well connected to the city's centre by an express bus service and an underground line. The hotel can be easily reached via subway train either to Omonia square station or Metaxourgio station. Alternatively, by one of the taxis found at the airport bus station.
Upon leaving the airport, take the Attiki Odos highway (pay toll) and follow the sign to Katehaki avenue. Take the K2E exit to the elevated road. From here, take the 16K exit, which leads to the route named Ymittos ring for Katehaki avenue. Follow this road straight until exit Y1 for Katehaki and Messogeion avenue. Turn left onto Messogion avenue and go straight following the indications to Vas. Sofias. When in Vas. Sofias avenue drive straight for about 1 km until you reach Syntagma square. From here follow the indications to Omonia square, where the underground station bearing the same name is located. Once in Omonia square, turn right onto 3is Septemvriou street and proceed for about 500 metres. Then turn right onto Marni street and then left onto 28is Oktoriou street. Make a right turn on Alexandras street, take Drospolou street on the left, and proceed until Patission street, where the property is located.
By boat
The property lies about 12 km away from the port of Piraeus and is best reached by taxi in about twenty minutes.
On leaving the harbour, take Akti Miaouli street and turn right onto Vas. Georgiou avenue. After 200 metres turn left onto Iroon Politehniou avenue, which leads to Possidonos avenue and
then to Syngrou avenue. At the end of Syngrou avenue, turn left onto Syntagma square. Then follow the above-said directions to the property.
