48 euros is not too much money, but I expected much more for that amount. I was looking for a cheap hotel for 1 night stay but I was wrong with this decision. In Spain I had 5 star accomodation for 60 euros/night. I felt totaly insecure in this hotel, balkon door was broken, i had no idea where to keep my laptop while I was out for a walk. Breakfast was terrible. This hotel might be satisfying only for teenagers...

Pour passer une nuit à Athènes, Filoxenia est une très bonne adresse. Mais la mauvaise qualité du petit déjeuner, la vue que l'on peut avoir et les alentours de l'hôtel n'invitent pas à y rester plus longtemps.

Generally speaking my stay at the Filoxenia was ok,though I was displeased to learn on arrival that my room the booking of which had been confirmed by the property was not ready and I therefore had to spend my first night in another hotel. As for the room I got from the receptionist next day,it was located near the elevator and therefore I was troubled by some noise made by late arrivals in the evening....

- Bedding very very poor. Air condition limited, impossible refresh the room, Temperature was better outside. For breakfast air condition was stopped on dinning room, temperature around 30° celsuis. The only one place with pleasant temperature was the reception. Welcoming : yes ? - Departure ... nothing.

The price was great but you get what you pay for. When we arrived we were told we were in between some bad neighbourhoods and some good neighbourhoods. By walking toward the Victoria metro station you arrive in the nicer area, just a few blocks from the National Museum. Breakfast was very basic and the rooftop patio was on the 6th floor. Air conditioning worked great and the beds were comfortable.

I found this hotel friendly and although fairly centrally located was reasonably quiet. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning/heating in the rooms functioned well. The reception desk was always manned and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room price was excellent. Did not provide any meal service in the evenings but my stay was out of season.

Before booking this property I read alot of reviews on venere.com saying that the hotel was terrible and people wouldn't stay there again. I thought it was ok. The price matched the quality, the rooms are ok, and generally its a good place to stay for one or two nights in Athens on your way to the Greek Islands. The breakfast was very basic (read crap), so we went down to another nicer hotel at Omonia square and paid for a full buffet.

This is way closer to the heart of athens than it seems on the map + if you get to have a room on the 6th or 7th floor you get a nice view overlooking the city

It was the most dirty and improper hotel, I saw the last years. How they have got the 3 Stars, is a miracle. The manager was very unfriendly. Never again.

This place was a dump. If you want to enjoy your stay in Athens, please do not stay at this hotel. Filoxenia is dirty and expensive. you can do much better if you wait until you arrive in Athens to get accomadation.

Just for people without any expectations and requirements. Definitley a place just for a one-night-stay, but not for longer. No hotel for the Olympics. Spend some more money to have a joyful vacation.
