- Location need some help to get to (take note of the address when travelling there) - Surroundings of hotel not safe (bars, clubs, nearby, located in a narrow street) - Rooms were excellent for a budget - Wifi acess great (acess from anywhere in hotel)

Excellent value for money hotel with clean rooms, good if basic facilities and friendly staff. At E35 per night for 2, a brilliant hotel for an overnight stay when catching an early ferry or arriving back from the islands at night. Strongly recommended

I found a room in this hotel at a very convenient price; in this sense, the ratio quality/price was satisfactory. Our room was very clean but small, and it has a terrace where were installed the external machines of air conditioned, so the air was very warm. We passed the night turning on and off the air conditioner, because it was too cool or too hot (and normally I sleep with every climate and conditions). Acoustic insulation is practically absent. Instead, breakfast was good and abundant. The location is very practical, because it's very near to the port, even if it's a bit disquieting, because it's in a small street, not very illuminated and quite dirty. It's a good, economic place to stay one night if one has to take a ferry boat the morning after, nothing more.

This is the second time we've stayed at Faros 1 Hotel and we would stay there again. It is handy to the cruise port and to the small harbor.

We stayed in a double room for one night in Hotel Faros 1, and it was very pleasent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room is clean and the facilities are well maintained. Near local food shops and restaurants. Definately valued for money, and you have basically everything you can expected in a medium ranged hotel. The only thing is that although the hotel is called "Faros 1", you can only see "Faros" at the entrance, as shown in the photos, so don't get confused when you pass by.

We spent 2 nights in a family room, very quiet and clean with our 2 childrens 3 & 6 years old. I would recommend strongly this hotel for all people who have planed to stay 1 or 2 nights in Le Pireus before leaving for the greek islands.

Perfectly adequate for staying near port. If you tend to walk, you can easily walk to the ferries and/or metro station. Any farther away would probably be too far with luggage. Too bad breakfast is an expensive extra. This was not typical for the many places we stayed in our month on the road.

After reading one comment on Venere.com I had a small concern even though all other comments were so positive. I can wholeheartedly endorse the positive comments about the Hotel and the proof for me was to book for a further stay after our return from Santirini. Of particular note is the extraordinary helpfulness of all staff-nothing was too much trouble.

Besides a little bit far away from the metro station and not easy to find, it's a good choice to stay here, it's a new hotel and everything is quite clean. The stuff is very friendly

The family was very happy with the choice of going directly to Pireus after arriving at the Athens airport. Direct bus in late evening and friendly taxi-driver picking us up at the Piraeus ferry port made the journey and access to the hotel easy. For a family with twio teen-age children the room was quite spacious with excellent beds and clean bathroom. Quiet location close to the port also suited us well. Nice and big breakfast was not included, but well worth the extra costs.

Really good hotel to stay in Piraeus before early morning departure to the islands. Surroundings are quite ugly but hotel itself is fine. So far so good. I will stay again here without any thought in case of traveling by ferry from Athens.

Only stayed overnight to get early ferry to ilse & stayed again on return home, close to port, clean & fairly quiet, price good for nice place, dont do hostels, area CRAP, but all of Piruas is dirty. On arrival, found man very rude, unfreindly, didn't speak to you apart from ask for passport & confirmation & then just handed the keys over. didn't care tho, only staying 1 night. but could be friendlier...

Le petit déjeuner est très copieux (jambon, tomates, salade, croque monsieur, céréales, pain au chocolat, toasts et marmelade, café ou thé ou chocolat...). L'accueil est excellent, et on nous a fait une remise sur le prix de la réservation en plus ! Le métro pour Athènes n'est pas loin : très bon hôtel, propre, calme et spacieux, les chambres pourraient être un peu plus décorées cependant;

The hotel is very modern, all rooms are refreshed, everything is very clean. The surroundings are unfortunately very noisy; OK if you sleep with closed windows, otherwise bit difficult to find sleep.

Unfortunately, we faced public electric construction that knocked out hotel's electric power in a day. I told to reception staff to cancel a rest of reservation, once they refused but I insist and they confirmed to hotel manager and we could cancel. 24hour open reception was conveniente because we got to hotel very late. the hotel was clean but it seems difficult to find the hotel.

Excellent hotel and facilities. location does not look too safe and quite a distance to walk to and from train station and harbor entrance for boats to the islands. a clean-up of the surrounding streets and better street lighting would enhance tremendously this very well run property.

This property is located in an awful part of town. There is a bar across the street selling the services of women. The street that it's located on is full of abandoned buildings and is scary to walk down. If you arrive by boat, it is very close to the docks, but then that means you have a lot of dock workers around that area of town. The day I checked out the hotel filled up with what seemed to be staff from one of the ships. They were terrible rude and made it difficult to checkout. I'm guessing the hotel caters to the ships because of it's proximity to the docks. It is a one hour bus ride to the airport and a very long walk to the bus stop, like 20 minutes or more. Of the staff I interacted with, only one was pleasant and had halfway decent directions, the rest were useless. It took me approximately 45 minutes to check in and while I was doing to many Greek people were paying their daily bill of 30E cash which was much cheaper than my 45E. Also, they do not have internet access as they state on their website and couldn't give me information about where the closest place for internet access was located. I've been traveling for many years and for 2 months on this particular trip and I would never stay here again.
