Hotel Reviews Epidavros

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I stayed only one night, while others in our group spent a longer time. I liked the location very much, though the directions were very inadequate. Perhaps a small map might help for those reaching the hotel via the metro.

This hotel serves its purpose. The bed was clean, shower was fine and you got a free breakfast. Other than that - the area is not the best. I didn't feel scared for my life, but I wouldn't feel safe walking alone. The metro is nearby and there are plenty of food places, but there is nothing greek about this neighborhood. It is full of non-greeks with non greek food. If you're looking for a clean bed, then stay here other than that this neighborhood has nothing to offer. In the words of a greek woman I met in the Plaka "no greeks really live in Athens especially by omonia"

Considering that this was a room for 65 euros, I guess it was adequate. However, the rooms are tiny, the bathrooms are even tinier. I don't know who would consider taking shower in that. The peculiar thing was that our bathroom had a tiny window and if you opened it you look directly into the next room's bathroom. We found it pretty funny! My brother was staying in the next room so we could talk to him through the bathroom. Literally! The hotel is in a very busy area and not a very nice looking one. However, the whole Athens are not that good looking, so for Athens it turned out to be a regular neighborhood after all. So basically, if you are looking for any place to stay that offers a bed and pretty good location ( close to Acropolis) then this hotel will do. If you are looking for somewhat of a nice place to stay then it's not the place.

Rue devant l'hotel très bruyante. Personnel extrèmement bruyant lors du nettoyage des chambres.

Simple and unassuming, but perfectly adequate for a short city centre stay. Clean room, good shower (but very tiny bathroom) nice breakfast, no traffic noise, easy walk from Omonia. Nothing special, but for the price, it's fine.

Epidavros was just as others described - clean, nice staff, good location, good value(half price over hotels in the Plaka). We enjoyed the location in a more Greek area of town vs tourist area. Near a metro (subway) line but not as close as we thought from the map, but this was only an issue with luggage. Otherwise we took the metro everywhere. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our 1 month stay in Europe. Room was small but clean. Overlooked some neighborhood taverinas where we could hear locals toasting OPAH! Added to the feeling that we had arrived in Greece. Felt very safe at this hotel and in this neighborhood. Would recommend this hotel.

We were looking for a reasonably priced place centrally located in Athens, so we did not have high expectations. We were able to easily walk to the Plaka, but the area surrounding the hotel is a little scary. Men are sitting outside of the hotel at a cafe until around 11:30 pm. There is a nice little place across the plaza that stays open late. I would not recommend this location for any women travelling alone. However, the hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was acceptable.

Inexpensive room in a incredible location with 180 degree unobstructed ocean view. Rooms are small and very simpel and could be cleaner, but the attention of the staff well outweights those shortcomings. Simple breakfast in the dining room, with bread, yougurt and coffee. Staff will drive you to and from Aegina Marina if the 20 minutes walk is a problem. The island offers a non turistic atmosphere with excellent restaurants and friendly locals. We will return to this hotel!

A recommander.
