Really a neat hotel, and a great breakfast included. It is a few blocks from an excellent location but an easy walk to this area.

The location did allow for quick access to central Athens sights and the Acropolis. The immediate neighborhood is ok but within a few blocks of the hotel there are areas that get decidedly seedy at night. If you plan to walk in the evenings preplan your route. The general ambiance of the hotel - lobby, restaurant, bar - leaves a bit to be desired. The front desk service was good. Room was reasonably clean and spacious, the bathroom was nice. The breakfast that was included in the room price was mediocre. Overall price/value relationship was about what we expected based on what we paid for the room. One of the main reasons we choose this hotel over some alternatives was the advertised roof top restaurant with view of the Acropolis - however it was not open once during our stay.

Excellent hotel - On the down side, the Pireus road from the hotel to Omonia square is unpleasant and defaced by graffiti. Doorways smell of urine and groups of drunk or possibly drugged men intimidating even during the day. However if, on leaving the hotel one turns right at the traffic lights you are quickly (5 mins) in the midst of the Monistiraki restaurants and close to the agora and acropolis. As a tourist I would recommend this hotel without reservation and will stay at this hotel next time we visit Athens

This is a great hotel with a great view and the nearest metro station is near a very trendy area of restaurants... I'm glad I ignored the reviewer who gave this place 2.8, what were they thinking??

THE PRICES OF FOOD WAS EXTREMELY HIGH. 2 salads and a sandwich was 31 euros and rhe greek salads had no lettice and not enough variety of vegetables. A CANDY BAR AND NUTS 11 PLUS EUROS AND NO AMENDITIES make this stay difficult.

This is a beautiful comfortable boutique hotel in Athens, well located for tourism. Our room was clean, spacious, and visually beautifully designed. The breakfasts were magnificent, a large selection of wonderful hot and cold food in a beautiful room with friendly and attentive service. On the negative side, it was located on an ugly, dirty, noisy street, so it was jarring to leave it and unpleasant to walk around near it. The lovely large windows looked out onto a motorcycle shop. The room was very quiet inside, but it was necessary to keep the windows closed because there was a lot of street noise even at night. We were surprised to find, in an otherwise very well maintained and luxurious hotel, some lapses in the room maintainence. Several light bulbs were burnt out (replaced quickly when we pointed it out), a handle on the sliding pocket bathroom doors was missing, and the shower head holder in the bathroom was falling off. These were minor concerns. The bathroom, beautiful and modern in marble and glass had a peculiar design flaw in that the multi-headed shower and toilet were in the same glassed in stall, so that the whole toilet area was wet after a shower, floor and toilet. You do find this in small bathrooms sometimes in Europe and Asia, but this was a big bathroom. On the whole, we recommend this hotel. It was a haven in a congested busy city.

The layout of the room was a little odd and did not make the best use of available space but it was comfortable and the bath/shower room/wc were spacious and fitted to a very high standard which gave a luxury feel. After a day out in the hurly burly of the city, the hotel was a real oasis of calm to which to return.

Beautiful modern hotel! The room was a good size, and very comfortable and clean. The bathroom is very spacious and well equipped. Hermes toiletries were a nice bonus. There is a gorgeous view of Acropolis from the roof-top restaurant! We definitely enjoyed our stay at Eridanus!

Eridanus is an excellent hotel, very clean, newly remodeled, and with top-notch staff. Beds were very comfortable. The room's air conditioner worked extremely well, despite a sweltering heat wave outside. The breakfast was simply delicious. It's an easy 10 minute walk to the Gazi neighborhood, the hottest nightclub scene in Athens. I will definitely stay at Eridanus again!

Our first stay at this hotel was enjoyable. It's location was convenient for walking to the Acropolis, the Plaka and other places of interest. The neighborhood wasn't consistently renovated, but was safe and convenient. The room was well appointed and breakfast was excellent.

The name of the hotel is deceptive: no luxury / no art at all. Furthermore, despite being ranked as a 5 stars, the hotel is more honestely a 4 stars. Most disappointing is that we requested a deluxe room and they gave us deceptively a standard room, half of the size of the deluxe room, for our first day (after we asked several times!). Among pros is anyway a very convenient location, only few hundred metres from the centre / acropolis

The hotel was good value for money and within walking distance of the Acropolis, cafes and bars. The only negative I have, is about the booking process was regarding payment, the hotel took payment from the card used to make the reservation, which is different to Venure's normal booking process.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The large breakfast kept us full until late afternoon. Our "deluxe" room was good-sized, but the standard we peeked into looked small. The bathroom and amenities are outstanding, and the king bed was amazing. This hotel is not in Plaka, but is only a 7 minute walk to the metro. Most of the staff was very helpful. Our room had a small balcony, and we were told only 6 rooms have an Acropolis view. It was nice to have the free soft drinks and water bottles replenished twice daily.

The location is ideal for any touristic tour in Athen, the rooms have a very individual furniture and bathroom, personnel is helpful an competent. Compared to other greek hotels we stayed at the "Eridanus" is one of the best.

We loved our stay here and were only sorry there was no availability on our return through Athens. We had to stay somewhere else that only accentuated how great Eridanus was. Great rooms, great views and a genuine warm friendly atmosphere - thank you for a stunning evening!!

The hotel is a little removed from the Plaka and other interesting sites but not so far to make it an easy 20 minute walk. However, the walk is complicated by Athens itself where foot traffic can sometime be trying. The hotel itself, however, was very, very nice and offered us a spectacular view of the Parthenon. In the unlikely event that I were to find myself back in Athens, I would definitely have no problem rebooking w/ the Eridanus.

Eridanus couldn't have been better in all respects. Conveniently located within easy walking distance of the historical sights we wanted tod see, very comfortable rooms and beds, clean with great bathrooms. Each member of the staff who worked with us was exceptionally accommodating and proficient. It deserves each star it has. We heartily recommend it and would stay there again. Ed & Sharon Leon
