We were in Athens in late September 2012. The location of the hotel was good situated near a metro stop and hop on hop off bus stop. Unfortunately, is not within walking distance to the center of Athens.

We had a pleasant stay at the Athens Lotus hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel had a relaxed atmosphere about it. No criticisms either of the restaurant where a buffet style breakfast was served. The room we stayed in wasn’t spacious but it was comfortable and adequate. One criticism would be that the bathroom, although modern and obviously recently renovated was on the small side. Additionally Coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms would be appreciated by most travellers I'm sure. The area surrounding the hotel is not the most pleasant, but the metro is literally seconds away and we encountered no problems. Most travellers have adequate street sense to know how to act and avoid nasty situations in difficult neighbourhoods. It’s worth noting also that the hotel has adequate security presence outside the front entrance provided by a security guard. Reception and management were friendly and approachable, any small problems were dealt with efficiently and with a smile. Overall, considering the reasonable cost of staying at this hotel, we would have no hesitation in using it again should we return to Athens.

The hotel is satisfactory for the price charged but the room provided was equivalent to an average motel room with modern bathroom. The hotel had a resturant but this only provided breakfast, with room service only available for dinner. As we were advised not to walk the local streets at night by two separate taxi drivers this limited our dinner options. However the quality of the room service food was good. The hotel was located very close to the Metro to allow the visiting of historic sites an also walking distance to the National Archiological Museum. For the short time we stayed in Athens (3 days) the hotel suited our purposes and was good value for money.

We had great time during Athens lotus hotel stay. The only issue we had was that wifi access is not working. If you need wifi access, this hotel will not serve your purpose. Other than that, this place is perfect for any traveller to Athens. We (four sisters) booked the family room, there are one master bedroom with two twins and a seperate guest room with two twins. Both rooms have a fridge and safe. Very clean. Just 2 minutes walking to the metro station. Breakfast is great.

It was a trip into the ancient Greece, we stayed first 2 days at Athens an visited the Acropolis and other important monuments, for to go then to Olympia, Epiadauros, Micene, Delphi an so on. Everything was OK. At the end of or journey we stayed there other two nights for to visit also the national archeologic museum. The second time we stayed in the hotel there was less service, but we payed more. The hotel is indicated for a clientele of mature people.

a nice hotel not far from omonia square, i.e. in the center of the city; rooms are comfortable, baths are not so large as I would like... in a few minutes you can reach metaxurgeio station of the underground. The breakfast is really good

It is very easy to get to the hotel from the airport by the Metro only. You need not resort to a taxi. Breakfast was quite adequate. The area where the hotel is located is not quite 'up-scale' but it was OK. You will find a few restaurants with reasonably priced menus in front of a Greek chuch which you find when you walk four short blocks toward north along Chiu street.

Very good hotel, excellent service, kind and hospitable personnel. Everything was fine but the taxi rank they worked with. Upon my request the gentlemen at the reception called taxi from a nearby taxi rank two times and both taxi drivers were unattentive, first one even grouchy and the second one was driving the car without holding the steering wheel on the way to the airport!!!

Very good place to visit Athens. The area surronding to the hotel is not very nice but very well communicated by metro to the main places, only 5 minutes waking from the metro. The locations indicated on website map is not correct
