Good location and Dennis was particularly helpful with information when we arrived. Was a bit difficult not being able to e-mail to the hotel directly.

Even if I stayed just for one day I have appreciated the kindness of the staff (especially the warm welcome) and the unusual look of the hotel.

The Art Hotel Athens is a lovely little hotel. The furniture and equipment seems a little bit old but alltogether it's nicely done. The stuff is great, very friendly, very helpful and it all feels very relaxed and familiar. The Art Hotel is good located so all Athens' attractions and places are within walking distance. The only negative point is the surounding area - dark, dirty streets full with suspicious guys hanging around -I would never walk there alone at night. But the taxis are cheap so that can be easily avoided. Altogether we enjoyed our stay and can recommend the hotel itself very much.

When I arrived I was met by a friendly member of the staff. He gave me a lot of good tips on what to see and do in Athens. All the other staff members were friendly and helpful as well. Breakfast was really good.

Our party of 4 throughly enjoyed the Art Hotel. Our room opened to a huge private patio complete with patio furniture. The noise of the busy street below was not a big problem for us. We walked to the near-by restaurants after a busy day in Athens. We generally found the staff and people very helpful and friendly. I would stay at the Art Hotel again and would recommend it to anyone staying in Athens.

The moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by all the staff, offered breakfast and were able to go to our room before the actual check in time which was wonderful as we had to get up early that morning and were able to have a nap before we ventured out. The staff were absolutely lovely always asking how we were, and if everything was okay. Highly recommend it to anyone, young or old.

Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Room is rather small, and noisey becasue the noise comes through bathroom door which is designed to have no lock and hence cannot be properly closed. Still good overall.

On busy main road so if you want quiet, ask for a room at the back - hardly any traffic noise there but only a view of typical city dereliction. About a 10 minute walk with suitcases from Omonia IF YOU KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING! - "MARNI" is about two km long. You need to locate "SOKRATUS" 100 m to west of Metro station & turn right there. BUT its not too well lit & pavements & crossings are VERY UNEVEN if using wheeled suitcases. WISH WE'd known this before. Found VENERE link to directions somewhat lacking - (emailed Hotel for guidance but received no response!) Very helpful receptionist(s) (Lisa especially) - speak excellent English. Free internet but slightly quirky keyboard. The tourist bus service 400 is a good buy - buy on bus (E5):- ticket entitles you to 24 hours free public transport throughout Athens. Terminates at Archaelogical Museum about 5 mins from Hotel. Very good Greek restaurant (Poza Iana but written in Greek) in Valetsiou off Exharia Square 10 - 12 mins walk from Hotel. For fish lovers- try the Gilthead! Also best Greek Salads we found all week. Hope this helps - (happy to respond to further queries via Venere.)

I had read many of the reviews of other people and found it to be as good as many said it was. It is not in the main tourist part of town but easily walked to them or a short metro ride. The laptop for guest use was a nice touch. The restaurant recommendations we received were excellent, we would not have found the restaurant by ourselves. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We only stayed one night on transit to Naples so it was hard to judge, but the hotel and staff were lovely, breakfast was good, internet access was accessible for free 24/7 which was great. The only negative thing I have to say is that our room was boiling hot all night, the airconditioning didn't work well at all. We had friends staying in the room next to ours and theirs was fine so it may have just been our room.

I travel a lot in Europe and I stay in many hotels. It's the first time I pay for a standard room and the hotel give me a suite for the same price. Internet free acess in room and in the lounge. Restaurant in hotel is not good, no quality food not good menu. I will return in this hotel for B&B but I will have a dinner outside.
