Airotel Stratos Vassilikos - Athens

All good as described but the rooms smell very bad

For such a lovely, cozy hotel, the only fault was that they did not replenish food quickly enough at breakfast, which had a good variety.

I was here to attend a meeting in Hilton hotel. Stratos Vassilikos is walking distance to the hotel and the main metro line, making it easy for the meeting and the sightseeing during the weekend to the Plaka and Acropolis. Staffs are friendly and helpful, they even let me enter the breakfast while they're still setting up, so I can catch my tour. Only problem is the noise level at night. You can hear the street and the next door room quite easily - I was a heavy sleeper, so I don't mind - but I wouldn't stay here is I was with my son.

My colleague and me booked three nights for our business trip. As of a strike our plane was canceled so we could not reach the hotel the first night (but we sent an e-mail message that we still wanted to use the rooms for the other two nights). When we arrived (the second night) they had canceled our booking; that night we were happy: they had two rooms. The other day was uncertain. The next day, it was only in the afternoon clear that we could share a room. At the end of our stay we had to pay for the rooms but also for the cancelation fee! There was not a single thing that the hotel did to reduce the inconvenience. In my opinion very low service.

This was a luxury hotel - the breakfast was great - I loved it.
