Not a 4 star hotel, maybe a good 3 star. Staff are unhelpfull and the so called Jnr suites are just big rooms that are ALL smoking.

We've been to Alexandros before, and we decided to stay there again. The booking was made less than 48 hours before our arrival, but the price dropped on that day (before checking in). We told this to the receptionist, and the manager gave as the new, lower price. Not only that, but as they didn't have a room with a double bed, they upgraded as to a junior suite for the rest of our stay. The rooms are clean, the staff is efficient, and the area is spot on. We will be back.

This hotel is a five minute walk to the metro - three stops from the Acropolis. The employees were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast, included in the price of the room, was excellent. I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Excellent location: a short walk to the Metro and easy access to the Plaka or the airport. Nice location, nice large rooms with internet. Employees were courteous and helpful. Six couples, including ourselves, arrived from a cruise at 10:00am and hotel worked to place us in our rooms. Great accomadations

Easy acces to city center and to the main attractions ( about 5 min to the nearest metro station, 3-4 metro stations to Acropolis). Walking distance to Lycabetus Hill and to the USA Embassy. . Clean, quiet, spacious, recently refurbished room and bathroom. Very good breakfast. Small private parking on the basement, free of charge.

Hôtel agréable bien situé dans une rue calme, à proximité du métro et des bus. Excellent petit déjeuner. Les deux seules restrictions : absence de porte à la penderie et le personnel de la réception eu souriant.

We stayed at this Hotel for the first time and we really enjoyed their facilities and services. Triple room was good enough for three people and free buffet style breakfast was very helpful because most hotels charge at least 12EURO for same level quolity meal. We would like to come back next time ,too.

Great value for your money. The hotel is located near the American embassy and is in one of the better neighborhoods. It is a short walk from the metro(5 min). The room we got was at the top floor and it seems they started cleaning the rooms at the top first, because every morning when we went for our breakfast they started to clean our room. So after a couple of days i got a little tired of that and put the "do not disturb" sign on the door, and after that it wasn't a problem anymore. Breakfast was ok, they had bread, yogurt cheese, egg, bacon jam and other typical cold cuts. The restaurant in the hotel was also ok, no gourmet restaurant but the prices are good and the menu had something for everyone. I would recommend it for people that want a comfortable and clean hotel, but don't want to pay too much.

The delicious breakfast and the atmospheric breakfast room are the best parts of the hotel and this makes morning dining a very memorable experience. However, some provisions of the room like the hair dryer has been out of order for a long time and there has been no reporting of such things to the hotel management ever and so problems like this last forever and force users of the hotel to downgrade its quality. Also what a pity that there is no swimming pool when Athens is so hot in summer. I wish the management would constantly read reviews like this to improve their services.

We stayed at Alexandros Hotel for the second consecutive year (4 nights in total)and everything was just perfect. Very comfortable and nicely decorated rooms, good breakfast, quiet/secure environment close to underground. Parking slot offered for free in the garage, and we were upgraded to a junior suite.

Stayed one night on our way back from the islands. Very friendly, welcoming and competent staff. Nice central setting, off the street behind a tiny church so there was very little street noise (even in a city where early morning mopeds cannot be silenced...). The hotel was lovely even if the interior decorator had got a bit carried away, for our minimal tastes! Also an opulent breakfast. We'd stay there again.

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The room was the Golden Suite, but even if it was spacious and clean, the quality didn't correspond to a Suite in a 4 star hotel: very old carpet and furniture. It has to be refurbished. The door between toilette and sleeping room was of transparent glass which is also not really a nice thing! In comparison to the price/quality relationship was not good but the position is good since it is just 5 minutes walk from the metro station and the surroundings of the hotel are good and safe. Personell very nice and good breakfast.

Generally the service was good and even the room has been nice with an excellent view to Lycabettus Hill. It was even quiet as it lies behind another hotel. But ... it takes more than 4 minutes to come from the metro station to the hotel and I just had breakfast twice and every time the waiters didn't even ask me for coffe as the did with the other guests. The juices at the breakfast have been terrible.

Hotel Alexandros was a great place to stay. The hotel is located off a very busy street but once inside you could not hear the street traffic. The hotel staff was very accomodating, breakfast was plentiful and the metro is a short walk away. The hotel is easy to get to via metro from the airport-save your money and take the metro-no transferring of lines. I would stay at this hotel again!

The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is not walking distance to the main part of Athens but the Metro is very close. Taxi fair into the city was around 5 euro which is cheap also. The hotel interior is quite nice but the room we had was a little dated. Overall I would stay there again but compared to the Georgio in the centre of the city the rooms were not as nice. Clean and hygenic which is all you need and TV worked with enough channels.

We had a fantastic stay at Alexandros hotel. They gave us the 'Bronze suit' at the same price as the room we had booked because it was not available when we arrived. The Bronze suit was absolutely excellent! It was just a bit noisy at night, maybe due to the air conditioner. The breakfast was good, the room was clean, and the employees were really polite and very helpful, especially Spiro! The hotel offers free parking, this is a really good service for those who travels by motorbike as we did.

Alexandros is a small hotel located in a good and safe location just off the Vasilissis Sofias (Leoforos) Road behind a small chapel. It is 200m away from the American Embassy and 400m away from the Megaro Moussikis metro station. It was easy and cheap to get there from the airport using the Metro (just 5 Euros)and the walkway from the tube station to the hotel was wide and easy to roll your luggage. I used the hotel as a no frills alternative to staying at the expensive Hilton hotel down the road when attending a week long conference at the Hilton. The room is clean and tidy with good breakfast provided. Good value for the price. Highly recommended if you dont need a swimming pool to cool down in the heat. The air conditioning in the room can be improved as it got a bit too warm even when the air condition was turned down to minimum in the afternoons. Also the carpets are a bit worn and needs changing. Staff are helpful and friendly

Nice hotel of 6 floors, not in the best are of Athens. Nice welcoming: the employees speak more then 4 EU languages and they are really friendy. Nice room with a poor view. Excellent breakfast. Good hotel if you want to spend there 3 days. Weeknesses: NO AR CONDITION IN THE PASSAGE of the hotel. Ok in the room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Alexandros Hotel. The price was fair (89 euros a night). The breakfast was good and the location was convenient for our needs. The bus stop and metro were both in walking distance. It was easy to find. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A very good experience overall. Hotel Alexandros met our expectations indeed.

Reception was very friendly and the rooms at the 2nd floor were tidied, but the room's floor (moquette !) was emabarrasingly dirty (grease and liquid stains were all over the floor, really disgusting !). After our complaints they gave us immediately two new rooms, more spacious and cleaner, at the 4th floor. Breakfast in a very stylish room was satisfying.

We arrived a little later to check in the hotel because of a delay in our flight from Barcelona. I guess they gave our double room to another because the guy who was in the reception didn´t expect our arrival. Anyway the pleasant guy worked out the situation giving to us the golden suite, the best room of the hotel. So, what can I say about the alexandros... It's a great place to stay some days in Athens, not too much expensive, good staff and a very very very good breakfast. A+++

My wife and I are well satisfied with our stay at the hotel and would like to come back some time in the future if we are going to Athens. The breakfast was good and the service at the hotel was good as well. We were on holiday on Samos and Patmos and finished our stay in Greece spending two days in Athens. We mostly walked into the centre of the city (went by underground once). I am sure we could have got all the information we needed about bus, taxi and underground in the reception, but a board giving all the information would be welcome.Anyway we didn't see any board. The room was spacious and good and so was the bathroom. The only little minor snag was a leak between the bathtub and the wall so that water was running across the floor. We walked up on the nearby Lycabettus Hill, which gives a view we wouldn't like to miss.

The inside of the hotel is very nice and very well decorated. But the rooms are not to the same standard and the shower was even worse due to an akwardly placed shower head that got more water on the floor than on me. Overall I was a little disappointed. Earlier in the week we stayed at the Marriott and for the little extra cost it was much nicer and had a better location. Also there is a tiny little bar right outside the hotel if you turn left at the end of the driveway that is small, quiet, and perfect for a night cap.

We used this hotel as our "home base" during our 3 week stay in Greece. The hotel and its staff were delightful and accomodating (they allowed us to leave some bags with them between stays, check in early, upgraded us to a triple at no additional charge). We would absolutely stay there again during our next visit to Athens.
