When i arrived in the Adams hotel i had a warm welcome from the staff and during my stay there they helped me to find the Athens sites and nice places to eat and drink. The location was perfect and the room clean with a nice balcony.I would like to visit it again next year.

What a great place. The location was absolutely the best, enabling us to stumble around the Plaka. The only drawback was the breakfast, which was a bit thin, toast, jam, butter, cheese & coffee, but we are not big on breakfast anyway

Excelent location. Quiet. Staff not so friendly but no so bad. Surely not worth what you pay, but very good for Athens.

The position of the hotel is very central and in few steps you can reach several ancient monuments and archeological sites. Near to the hotel there is the metro station and very nice restaurants and shops. It is a quite zone of the city and you can walk in safety also during the night. A negative aspect of the hotel is the cleanliness of the room that seemed very old. Also the interaction with staff was quite difficult, someone was even surly! We tried to take some counsels about how to reach some places of the city but they were really incompetent! Only in the morning there is a kind staff even if the breakfast is very poor... Summarizing, if you adapt yourself to a not perfect accomodation you can really enjoy your stay in this picturesque area of the city saving a lot of money!

This is a nice small traditional hotel in a fantastic location. We spent 3 lovely nights here and had a top floor room with balcony and panoramic view of the acropolis. Reminded us of the best of old Greece. We were given good service by friendly people. Excellent value in central Athens.

The good: The location is great. 100 metres from one of the restaurant squares in Plaka make it an easy walk, without the noise of late night revelers. We were given one of the third floor suites that have two bedrooms, though we couldn't use the extra beds, this was one of only two rooms in the hotel with a balcony. The bad: The rooftop restaurant mentioned in some reviews is permanently closed (the stairway t the roof is sealed off-confirmed with hotel staff). Only 2 rooms in the hotel (those on the 3rd floor) have any balcony to see the Acropolis. The TV in our room was 12 inch size, and got about 8 channels. The hotel badly needs a renovation. It is not bright and cheery as it looks in the pictures. Instead it is almost dark. The continental breakfast is coffee, orange juice, slices of processed cheese, and toast with jams. That's it. Overall, there are many similar hotels, but this one was the lowest priced, and given that we were given the third floor suite with the balcony, an INCREDIBLE value. It was 73 Euro per night for a double, about 10-20 Euro cheaper than competitors in the area (I asked at front desk of another comparable but recently renovated 2 star hotel). If you were getting a non-3rd floor room, it's worth checking prices.

Although the hotel is in an old building, and a lot of tourists complains about the quality of this hotel, i would say there are completely mad. The hotel location is PERFECT, you can go anywhere in the touristic part of Athens just walking a maximum of 15 minutes. We could go to the Acropolis in the mourning, return to the hotel to change clothes, and then go to see anothere touristic site. I just think the breakfast is very poor, but I absolutely recomend it.

Two poor marks and one good one. Good: Great location. Bad: 1) There were used towels on the bathroom floor, and when I went to the desk manager to request a cleaner room, he didn't believe me and was very abrasive. 2) The hotel charges a 3 percent fee for credit card transactions. I understand they're passing this feel on to their clients, as many other hotels and stores do, but this came as a complete surprise, not advertised anywhere, and once again, he was very crabby. I will stay away next time, as the area is FULL of cute hotels.

Very poor service and poor room facility providing. No tooth paste, no shampoo, no boady clearning gel. Charge 95 Euro is too much in this quality. Credit card payment request 2% is also increditable. Recommend Venere should exclude this hotel in the website.

- Good place to stay in the Plaka. Location, location, location! - Nice large room with 2 balconies and very big bathroom. - Beautiful hardwood floors. Decent furniture. No access to "rooftop garden". - 2am lockout in effect. - Breakfast = toast, coffee (filtered) and cheese. - Staff were not overly enthusiastic... but then again, it was the end of the season and I'm sure they're ready to see the tourists go. - Didn't like being charged a 4 Euro service fee to use my credit card - especially on top of the 7 euro they charged each person for breakfast.

We had a small room and tiny bathroom but for the price it was fine and just what we needed in an amazing location. Yes it was noisy, but it's right in the middle of things so that was unsurprising and not a problem. For location it can't be beaten in Athens though the road was hard to find on some maps. Breakfast was minimal - toast and jam/cheese with tea/coffee only - but provided by friendly people. There are loads of places to get food in Athens anyway - most of the time you're too full! The staff were friendly enough and let us store our bags all day before our evening flight.

We stayed room 201 which is a junior suite. The 202/101/102 are small suites either. Other rooms are smaller. Furnitures and bathroom are very old. Room is not clean. Employees not very pleasant. Why to stay here then ???? The hotel is idealy placed in Plaka.

the location and freindly staff are the highlights of this hotel. the price is far to high for what you recieve. by staying a couple of blocks away you would recieve more standard fetaures, like wi-fi, clean linen each day, proper breakfast.

Adams has an amazing location...great enough to make the hotel's shortcomings forgivable. Our room was clean and fine for one night. If you're looking for more than a place to rest your head and easy access to the Acropolis/Plaka, then stay elsewhere. We paid 90eu and if it weren't ideally located, I would have felt cheated.

Adam's has a fabulous location, but the map on the web site needs to be corrected (if that has not been done already). The hotel is rather old, so the rooms are a very modest and the bathrooms are tiny, even a bit shabby. On the other hand, to be in the middle of the Plaka for this price is rare and could be a value for the location. This hotel is for those who are not too picky or demanding the most modern accomodations. Budget choice with budget offerings.
