Hotel Pallotta - Assisi

The host are very nice and patient. They offer help to park our car in a good parking, and it cost 10 euro per night. We had two rooms and they are so nice to allow us to keep one of them until 2:00 in the afternoon, which makes our stay more comfortable. The room next to the main road is not as quiet as expected when cars drove by, but the one faces the inner side is perfect. The tower for sightseeing is amazing. I love this stay!

Nice, clean, small hotel close to everything! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Travel light since there are stairs to go up. Not fun with heavy luggage.

Great hotel, centrally located, excellent continental breakfast+, very pleasant staff. Assissi is a hill/mountain town so expect to go up and down hilly streets. If you have heavy bagages better make arrangements with Pallotta staff so they can help you. Wonderful new development for people with cars, hotel now has 4 nearby free parking spots, can save you up to 10 euros a day. Lots of visitors in town so don't expect quiet streets. Overall wonderful town to visit, good base to explore region. Pleasant personal touch by the owner's family.

This hotel totally deserves its high reputation for service, quality and value. The service was more than expected, with a free guide book and audio-guide lent during the stay which greatly enhanced the visit. The associated Trattoria Pallotta also has the best quality and value Menu Turistica in town - very high quality for the price. The hotel is totally charming with fabulous views of the town and plains from the "eyrie" on top of the building with couches from which to enjoy the great view. Most highly recommended.

The hotel has a perfect location and provides excellent service.

This is a lovely hotel in a pedestrianised street, therefore quiet. There is free internet use for guests, and refreshments always available in the breakfast room. The only problem lies in the difficulty of fitting modern plumbing into an old building - our shower was in a corner without a recess, so it was splashy!

I really enjoyed Pallotta. Excellent value for money right in the middle of all the action of Assisi. Easy to find. Rooms on the smaller side and a crazy shower arrangement but the staff, cleanliness, breakfasts, wifi and amenities are all first class. They provide a discount at their restaurant which is excellent and info and an I guide to Assisi and Assisi card at no cost. A great base for seeing Assisi and highly recommended.

Assisi by it self it's a magical place and this hotel is part of it. All services were perfect, good brekfast,nice and clean room, wifi, observatory room on third floor with amazing view, very friendly staff, etc. and good price

We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Pallotta in a double room with a characteristic street view of Assisi. The hotel was spotlessly clean and neat and we found the staff friendly and helpful. The inevitable stairs of Assisi were a slight problem, (we are on our 70s) but the staff was very helpful with our luggage. The breakfast was excellent. We also dined at their restaurant (at different premises) where the food, wine and service were perfect. In all, we were delighted with this charmingly decorated hotel.

Excellent location, nice little touches that enhance the attractivity (nice breakfast & afternoon tea/cofee with cake, yoghurt, mineral water), possibility to come & shower the day you leave if you stay in town a little bit more & come back for you lugagge.

Amazing location right in the center of Assisi, spectacular views from the sitting area upstairs. Views from room everything you expect an Italian village to be. Don't miss their resturant which is nearby. The gourmet dinner was the best food we had in Italy which is saying a lot. Make sure you explore the village, a suprise around every corner. Plus veiws from the village walls that look like a Renaissance painting. Hoping to return and spend more time in Assisi and the Palotta

I cannot express in words how great an experience I had at Hotel Pallotta in Assisi. I stayed for two nights during the week and would stay for even longer should I return. Though billed as a budget hotel, the quality of the place far exceeded my expectations. This centrally-located hotel (just off the Piazza del Comune) had a staff that was very gracious with my limited Italian and provided several extra goodies in addition to the room (i.e. an Assisi card, comprehensive audio guide, free passes to 3 museums, etc). My single room was simple, clean, airy, quiet and had a lovely view of The Basilica of Santa Chiara and the Umbrian valley behind. Other rooms, I hear, have lovely views as well! (As an aside, the rooms look even better in person than on this website.) Look for the decently stocked mini-bar with complimentary bottled water. The bathroom itself was clean and well-stocked with towels and toiletries, but the shower is merely a wall spigot leading to a floor drain, so be creative in your order of bathroom business! Breakfast was a good selection of cereals, torts, sweetbreads, coffee, juices, meat/cheeses, cappucino/espresso. Yum-yum! Hands down, Hotel Pallotta was the best property I stayed at during my 4-city excursion in Italy. Perfetto!

We very much enjoyed our stay at La Pallota. The room was not large but adequate for us. The reason for the 9 in 'Quietness'was not due to the hotel but rowdy people on the street. We found Assissi to be very clean and we visited all the places we had planned. There was lots of variety of restaurants to choose from, unfortunately we did not get to eat at the Pallota restaurant as there was a wait for a table and we were huingry. Maybe next time. We used the internet free of charge and the hotel staff were very good and friendly even though we do not speak Italian.

My friend and I spent 2 wonderful nights at Hotel Palotta and thoroughly enjoyed all its amenities, the excellent hospitality and perfect location. I fully intend to return and spend more time in Assisi and will definitely stay at the Hotel Pallota.

We had a great stay at Hotel Pallotta. The staff was exceptional and the surroundings delightful. The breakfast was very generous and tasty. The restaurant was also very enjoyable.

The hotel is 5 minutes from the bus station and very near the town center. I found its location very convenient. The hotel itself is pleasant, and has a TV room with panoramic views of the town. The host was very generous. Tea and cake were available all day. Plus, Assisi was the best town I visited in Italy.

Location is write in the middle of everything with a helpful staff that got us bus tickets and held our luggage when we checked out of the room.

One of the better and least expensive good hotels where I stayed in Italy over the past 6 years.

I stayed for seven, very comfortable nights. The Pallotta feels more like someone's home than a hotel - I really liked the freedom to let myself in and out at any time of day or night. My only grouch was that the breakfast selection was a bit inconsistent and at times limited, but that's all. The individually made coffee was to die for. Otherwise, for its easy, unpretentious comfort, friendliness, the fabulous position and the wonderful view from my window, I would definitely choose to stay there again. I also enjoyed eating at the Pallotta's restaurant off the main Piazza.

Stayed at Hotel Pallotta in June. I booked a single room, but was given a double one. Very clean, spacious and nice, with a balcony facing the main square in Asissi. The breakfast was also plentiful, with ham and cheese besides the usual sweets and pies typical for an Italian breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful stay, in a wonderful little town !

We really enjoyed the central location, charming breakfast room and the top room library.

Assisi is a marvellous place and Pallotta even more to stay at. I loved the hotel and everthing about it - position, quietness, independence, rooftop terrace, bathroom, free WiFi, you name it. For the excellent rate of the room you get something that feels more like a three star hotel. Two downsides though - lack of a lift and slight curtness of the cleaning lady, though these can easily be ignored when taking into account all the positive aspects. I would definitely stay again at Pallotta if I return to Assisi.

Excellent location, great service. The room was a little small and on the noisy side of the street but the price was great and WiFi was free.

If you like sleeping on a board next to a busy highway, you will enjoy this hotel (along with its very unfriendly staff). The only place in Italy we didn't care for (We're not fussy or hard to please, but this place was not hospitable!)

I love this little hotel. It is clean and cute. The staff are very nice. I will go back there again for sure. the price is the best part for what is offered.

We are pleased with our stay at Pallotta from 6-8 April 2009. Pallotta is charming and cozy and the delicious cookies and drinks provided in the afternoon adds a pleasant touch to our stay. We also had dinner @ Restaurant Pallotta which is a short walk from the hotel. Service and quality of food is also excellent.

We loved this place, staff is wonderful,very helpful and you feel you are staying at one of your relative's place. Small place, no more than 10 rooms,family owned, very clean and welcoming.Not suit it for handicapped persons because of the stairs,no elavators and lack of taxi service to the door. The hotel is very near the piaza and the bus stop and you can get around quite well.Make sure to take a taxi from the train station to the hotel. My mother-in-law, age 81 was able to manage the street and stairs quite well. We loved the staff and the restaurant the family owns. Great food and service. Assisi, its people and sights will stay in our minds and hearts forever.Sweet and kind people.

I went to Assisi for the first time. I met the married couple, the female friend group and family with older children at Hotel Pallotta.

Very nice hotel in a very nice place. You feel as if you are in your own small castle. Very welcoming people. They have very good restaurant. I am sure i will return with pleasure.
