This hotel is definitely my choice as to where to stay. The size of the room is what to expect when staying in a heritage building, but I appreciate quality over quantity. The hotel is very well restored, very charming, I would say it has similar character as for instance the MacDonald in Edmonton and the Empress in Victoria. Of course the small town location comes with the small town price tag. The view from the room was not all that great, overlooking the rooftops of the neighbours, before your eyes get to the mountains further up. Great brunch below, with very polite and pleasant service. Too bad we arrived too late at night to enjoy a few drinks at the bar! All in all worth visiting, unless you crave large rooms without character....
