Hôtel du Golf d'Arras - Anzin-Saint-Aubin, Arras

This is the thirs time we have stayed at Hotel Du Golf d'Arras and it is a lovely hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. The only disappoinment we had was that the restaurant only served a limited set menu and very few wines, on previous occasions we have had a beautiful meal and an excellent choice of wines everything prepared to the highest standard, on this occasion we were disappointed with the quality of food and lack of choice.

Good comfortable hotel in a good location on a golf course. A little distance outside of Arras so a car is needed ideally. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dining room is a little impersonal but the food is fine. I would recommend to eat in the bar for a better atmosphere.

As we stayed on a Sunday night it was frustrating to find no meals were available because the restaurant was full. We also were lucky to get into the Clubhouse restaurant on the Friday night. We should have been asked on arrival what our meal requirements were.

We chose this hotel as one at which to stay on our first night in France where we could have a pleasant evening and get set for a full day's travel next day after a decent meal. BUT the restaurant was closed, and they proposed a drive into central Arras to dine properly - the one thing we had booked to avoid. This so twists our view of the hotel that I do not intend to make any other judgements upon it. We will not be staying there again,

Easy to find. Room was absolutely fine with nice shower etc. There was a wedding reception being held (unsurprisingly I suppose for a Sat evening in late June) so restaurant wasn't available although apparently I could have got a snack in the bar - I chose to drive to Arras. Breakfast was extra but with a comprehensive selection available. Overall good value for money and about an hour from Calais so a good stop over if driving back from further afield - Italy in my case.

Oue stay was a monday night, there is a lovely bar but no staff. After waiting 15 minutes I asked for service at the reception, who could see us waiting but did nothing until I asked, eventually we were served but not by a bar waiter. We booked in the restaurant for our evening meal, when we arrived at the restaurant we were told there are no places and to go away, the bar man said he would set a table in the bar, we could have the restaurant meal which was a table d'hote. There were no choices between course so we eventually opted for a bar snack which was limited because they had run out of 50% of the options. The Bar waiter was rarely present because he was helping elswhere or in the restaurant. We have stayed here before and were looking forward to staying again but we were let down during this stay. We like this hotel very much and it is usually a highlight of our travels to France and have recommended it strongly in the past. When the staff are there they are very good.

Nice bar, serves excellent food, very nice staff. Why only Belgian beer (Jupiler, Leffe)?

Having decided to stay on our return through Arras we were somewhat disappointed to find that unless we booked on the internet we would be paying more to stay at the same hotel. As we did not have access to the internet whilst we were we decided to use another hotel.

Cannot recommend. Made reservations 6 months prior to stay. Five days before departure to France (11 days before hotel stay), hotel staff sent email saying we could not check in to our room until 9:00pm the first 2 nights of our stay due to some circumstances to do with a rugby team staying at the hotel. It appeared that they were trying to inconvenience us so we would book elsewhere. Had no time to rebook, so went anyway. Felt most unwelcome on check-in, cannot recommend if you want to be certain you have a room in advance.

As I notifiied to you recently the Hotel did not offer good service. I in fact left after checking in due ti building works being carried out & no restaurant facilities as per the web site. Despite me telling them not to charge me due to my complaint the hotel charged my credit card. They have also not answered my e mail. Disgusted

Description implies green recreational area around hotel, vital after a long drive. It was this feature that attracted us to stay. In fact none available. Our room did not even face the greenery shown in the photos - we overlooked a very dry and uninspiring car park. Having booked the room 5 months in advance we felt we were taken advantage of.

Room was at the front of property so lots of traffic noise-also building work going on so we were woken by builders. Restaurant food excellent and reasonably priced

Good quality hotel. Toilet not clean and old drink can on balcony previously used as ash tray left. Balcony needed cleaning. Caters to golfers and those wanting quality and quiet stay.

A very welcoming hotel. The restaurant is excellent and the staff charming. Our dogs were also made very welcome by the staff and the local clientele. It was so good that we made a point of coming back on the return journey.

This is the second year running we have stayed at the Hotel, and the barman greeted us like old friends, which was especially welcoming. Have no hesitation in recommending it as a quality hotel - good value for money, the restaurant was good, tho as we enjoy good wines, felt that the wine list was grossly overpriced for the selection offered -something the hotel may wish to look at. The staff were first class as previously experienced - look forward to another visit.

Chambre spacieuse et confortable, silencieuse. Excellent hôtel qui vaut bien ses 3 étoiles.
