We had a really lovely break in Fontvieille and the hotel was just what we wanted - very welcoming and clean, nice surroundings a bit outside the town and in a quiet residential area. Close to the Camargue and Arles, and in the other direction, Avignon. The room we had was not nearly as nicely furnished or decorated as the ones pictured but it was OK. Good size bathroom with both bath and shower- everything immaculately clean.Fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast, croissants etc but we thought it was not really good value at 11 euros each, and went into the village for coffee in the village cafe and bought croissants from the patisserie. The nearest beach is long but very very busy (and takes a long time to get there in spite of the actual distance) when we were there and the sea is very very cold so this is not suitable if you want a beach. Much better for historical sites. Ideal for couples although there were a few children there. We plan to make this trip again next year and stay at the hotel we liked it so much - very easy to get to by car- probably more difficult otherwise. There was an opportunity to upgrade but we decided not to as it was quite a bit more money and for the length of time we stayed we did not think it worth it.

Although a very nice and clean hotel I feel that this is not the number 1 hotel as quoted on the trip advisor site. The comments left on your site and on the Trip Asvisor site are practically the same . The owner of the hotel (actually the husband ) is head of the hotel tourest board and I beleive all favorable comments were placed by him.

Lovely hotel in a charming village with lots to explore in the surrounding areas. The couple that runs the hotel were very helpful in providing information on activities we wanted to do. Breakfast wasn't included and was on the expensive side for what was provided. The rooms are spacious and clean.

How to reach Hotel Saint-Victor

By car
From Nîmes: take the A54 and then the N113 towards Arles. Take exit 7 Beaucaire-Tarascon-Avignon, towards Tarascon. At the fourth round-about turn right on the D17 towards Fontvieille. Pass the Abbaye de Montmajour. Drive 3 km. After the Fontvieille sign take the first right on Chemin St-Victor then right again on Chemin des Fourques for 200 metres.
From Paris/Lyon: take the A7 towards Marseille. Take exit Cavaillon then take the D99 towards Saint-Rémy de Provence, then St-Etienne du Grès. Take the D32 towards Fontvieille. Turn left on the D33 towards Fontvieille. Pass the railway, then at the crossing, turn right on the D17b towards Arles. Take the D17 towards Arles and turn first left on Chemin St Victor and then right on Chemin des Fourques. Continue for 200 metres.
From Marseille: take the A7 towards Avignon. Exit direction Barcelona on the A54, then the N113 towards Arles. Take exit 7 Beaucaire-Tarascon-Avignon, towards Tarascon. At the fourth round-about, turn right on the D17 towards Fontvieille. Pass the Abbaye de Montmajour. Drive 3 km. After the Fontvieille sign turn the first right on Chemin St-Victor then right again on Chemin des Fourques. Continue another 200 metres.
From Avignon: take the N570 towards Arles and then the D33 towards Fontvieille. Pass the railway then at the crossing take a right on the D17b towards Arles. Take the D17 towards Arles and take the first left on Chemin St Victor then take a right on Chemin des Fourques. Continue for another 200 metres.
From Arles: take the N570 towards Tarascon. Turn right on the D17 towards Fontvieille. Pass the Abbaye de Montmajour. Drive 3 km. After the Fontvieille sign take the first right on Chemin St-Victor then right again on Chemin des Fourques. Continue for another 200 metres.

By train
Fontvieille railway station is about 1 km from the hotel.

By airplane
The Avignon airport is about 20 km from the structure.
