We stayed here on the first night of our tour of Provence. Loved Arles. The location of this hotel is good - just over the bridge from the main part of the city. The staff were most welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good - pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, meat etc. The rooms are small and could use some sprucing up. Overall a good stay and good value for money.

Very nice hotel, provencal style, clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast great, served in a big and comfortable room. Staff is competent and kind, always available to help. Very quiet area, on the other side of the river, but take 5 minutes to pass the bridge and reach the city center. Good location to make tours of the country side of the Camargue.

This hotel is on the quiet side of the river. A short walk to town over the bridge - approx. 10 mins. Services at the hotel were excellent. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and spoke enough English to get by. Free storage for our bicycles. Emphasis on the quietness of this Hotel and rooms. Highly recommended.

Very clean and spacious room with ensuite bathroom facility. Bruno (the proprieter) and his wife were very accomodating with any queries. The only slight issue was that the total cost on our documentation did not include the city tax. Very quiet and safe location just over the bridge from the main town of Arles. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel especially for a romantic stay for both young and mature couples.

A lovely little hotel perfectly placed over the bridge from the old town of Arles. The owners were delightful and it was great to be in part of town right by the river but also near a little school, ordinary residences and a non touristy feel, unlike the centre of arles. We parked our hire car nearby and its only 15-20 mins walk from the station along river bank. Breakfast was good and our visit to Arles was enhanced by wonderful excursion into the Crau and Camargue.

Wonderful typically French hotel. Owners delightful. Location very calm, nice quartier off beaten path of tourists, but convenient walking distance to all sights and restaurants. Owners give great counsel for where to eat. Breakfast large by French standards. Room small, but very comfortable. Would go back again.

Excellent hotel, located 10 min walking from Arle´s centre, across the Rhone, in a quite and nice area. Room clean and spacious, good bathroom, good breakfast, nice staff, cosy public areas, easy parking nearby, good price. A wonderful terrace plenty of flowers and birds cruising around is a remarkable plus. I strongly recommnend Hotel Hotel de Camargue. Tip - always prefer hotels outside old walls or towns centres. Another tip - choose smal villages instead of bigger ones. Arles is good, but Avignon is too big and noisy.

First visit to Arles. Came by train but don't expect there to be any taxi waiting. Possible to walk to hotel (about 20 minutes) but there was a taxi number outside the station and a cab came quickly. Hotel in residential area across the river from the old town - just a short and very pleasant walk. The upside about being in a residential area is that it's peaceful and quiet and yet only minutes from town. We were greeted by the owners, Bruno and Patricia, who both speak excellent English and were, throughout our stay, really helpful and attentive. One or other of them was always around and it felt like the hotel was their labour of love - we got a very personal service. They were also a mine of information about where to eat, ie avoid the Forum Square at all costs (good advice) and therefore we found some really good places with good food. Recommend Au Brin de Thym and Le 16 (on the same street). We also visited the bird reserve in the Camargue (by local bus, very cheap). Very pleased with the hotel, quiet, clean, air conditioned (Arles does get hot) and very pleased with Arles. Ideal place for a short stay with lots of Roman and classical things to see and a Van Gogh walking tour. Great little Van Gogh museum in Arles which houses art from people influenced/affected by Van Gogh. Plenty of bars and restaurants with food/drink at reasonable prices. Only downside was the number of organised parties roaming the streets and clogging up the attractions. Recommend (obviously) the Arena and Theatre but also the Cathedral cloisters. Would recommend the hotel and the town to anyone.

this hotel is in a beautiful location on a very quiet street right by the rhone river, just across from the ancient city. It was unbelievably quiet, we had a beautiful 2 minute walk over the Rhone river to get to the ancient city, and we had nice little french shops around us. So I think it was better than staying in the ancient part, and also less expensive and easier to get a reservation. Their breakfast was better than most french hotels and included meat cheese yogurt and cereal as well as the usual rolls and jam.

This delightful small hotel was conveniently located just over the bridge from the old quarter of Arles, a 10 to 15 minute walk from the restaurants etc of the Place du Forum area. The railway and bus stations are approx 20 mins walk. The local area also has a good selection of small shops and restaurants. There is ample on street parking. The (English speaking) owners, Patricia and Bruno were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. There was a good continental breakfast available for 6.50 euros. Our room was light, spacious and freshly decorated with a good sized en suite bathroom. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a good base for Arles and the wider Provence area.

Bruno and Patricia could not have made us feel more welcome; excellent hosts who went the extra mile to assist us. The roof garden is a wonderful bonus. It needs more shade in mid summer but the plants will grow over the wires eventually. Old Arles is very accessible from Port de Camargue Hotel- 10 -15 min walk to the railway and buses and all historic places. The festival in early July was amazing. 100s of Costumed locals paraded the street, babies to grandparents all involved plus Bands playing and all the horses ridden through the main street looking splendid.

The hotel is very well managed, security is very good and the breakfasts served were the best we enjoyed in France- buns, cheese, meat, orange juice, croissants, cafe au lait, tea or chocolate as well as yogourt and cereal. The hotel is in a residential neighbourhood which is quiet and complete with shops, shoe repair, bars and bakery. Hotel has air conditioning which we needed, internet service in the lobby and many suggestions for activities in the area.Arles has a lively market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Good quality X price relationship, somewhat charming hotel run by owners. Room is large and well decorated for this price tag. Nice bargain, breakfast is good. The only point I have to make here is that you wont be able to turn the A/C on unless the owners think it's hot, they refused to give me the remote. Not an entirely unfair deal for the price tag, but in the end you are paying the same amount other are, so in my view you are entitled to the same facilities.

We enjoyed our stay in Arles very much. As others have said, the location in a residential neighborhood across the river is great. We didn't have trouble parking, but I can see how it could be an issue during the busy season. The hosts were extremely helpful and well-prepared for all of our "how to get there" questions, and they also offered some fabulous dining suggestions. Some of the most memorable meals of our trip. Be aware that, although the hotel has AC, it's not available after mid-September. We slept with the window open for air circulation and were perfectly comfortable... but we did end up with more street noise because of it.

This quiet little hotel is tucked away in a small street about 200 yards from a river bridge taking you to the heart of Arles, which gives you the best of both worlds: you're very handy for the sights, but it's quiet and free on-street parking shouldn't be too hard to find very close to the hotel - we managed it even during the Corrida festival, when the town is heaving with bull-fight fans. The owners are delightful, friendly and helpful and happy to chat or leave you in peace as you prefer. We gather they do speak other languages although we haven't tested this as we speak good French. Rooms are perfectly adequate for the price, and are at least very clean and the beds are comfy. There's air-conditioning (very necessary in Summer) which you may find a little noisy at night if you're not used to it, but without it you either boil or have the window open and get eaten alive by insects (neither the heat nor insects are the hotel's fault, obviously!). There's a bit of noise audible from other rooms but only if someone else is being less than considerate. Breakfast is simple but good-quality (don't forget breakfast is not included in the room price). In short, go and stay there: you won't regret it

I stayed here for 3 nights, and what looked like a not-too-wonderful location was actually a plus because of the blessed quietness, the reasonable rates, and the fantastic hospitality of the husband-wife losts. It was a nice short walk over the river bridge to the historic center of Arles, restaurants, etc. And breakfast was wonderful!

This hotel was in a great (safe) location, just across the river from everything, and a 20 min walk from the train station. We also had a decent view. The owners were very nice and it was a great price also. Breakfast was not included, but we paid for it one morning and it was standard (breads and coffee). We booked 8 hotels thru venere.com and all of them turned out as were advertised.

Run by a husband-wife team who were very helpful and pleasant. The hike to the center of town is not too far, but across a bridge that can get very hot in the summer sun.

Very friendly and helpfull owners/staff. Although the location across the river is not the best it is still very convenient to get into Arles. I will recommend it any time.

We occupied a twin room. It was always spotlessly clean and the bed linen and towels were changed every day. It was very quiet at night - there was no noise to disturb us. It was situated within easy walking distance of the centre of Arles; there was a half hourly bus service to the town and one rather less frequent to the station. Bruno and his wife were extremely kind and went out of their way to provide us with helpful information. Our week's stay was a very happy one and we would be pleased to recommend the hotel to our friends and to return ourselves.

Excellent service that really made our stay a very pleasant one indeed. Well located if you want to stay just outside the city somewhere a little quieter.

We were very pleased with our stay here. The location was very convenient for walking across the river into the old town. The dining recommendations made by the manager were excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Avery warm welcome by someone whose spoken English was very goo. He was very helpful with directions, restaurants etc. The hotel is well situated in that it offers free street parking and is only a short walk from the main downtown area.

EL HOTEL ESTA UBICADO CERCA DEL CASCO ANTIGUO DEL OTRO LADO DEL RIO, PERO PARA ENCONTRARLO SE HACE UN POCO DIFICULTOSO PORQUE SE ENCUENTRA EN UNA ZONA DE CALLES MUY ESTRECHAS. EL PERSONAL ES MUY COMPETENTE, AMABLE Y CON MUY BUENA PREDISPOSICION. CUENTA CON SERVICIO DE INTERNET PAGO Y LAS HABITACIONES TIENEN BAÑO PRIVADO. ES RECOMENDABLE.
